    Hello Guy, you described the feeling when I was a lad and went from a chopper to a CB125S
    Perfectly, FREEDOM!
    And I could fit a girl on the back too. Those were the days. I remember when a good tyre was one that would hold air!
    Cheers!

    Nice progress Guy. I remember almost every CB250N in the 80's having a Rickman 'Polaris' fairing fitted. It kept the old man dry on his way to work.
    Looking forward to the next episode.
    Best wishes, Dean at Retromeccanica.

    Just viewed your video (My Life In Motion) The peace you get from riding is exactly the same feeling i get, all problems worries or concerns just dissapear just like that, its the best therapy for stress in my opinion, and when i cant manage my present bike i`ll change it for something smaller or till the wheeels need to be side by side with two small jockey wheels at the front, this is my first viewing of your vids but i have seen you on telly with Henry and Co, thanks for sharing.

    Aaaahh...Solvol Autosol. That takes me back!
    To Saturday mornings spent polishing up my 200 Yamaha so I could ride out to Brands Hatch with a shiny bike in the afternoon to watch a club race meeting. Happy days indeed......

    I'd probably do some questionable stuff to see Mr Willison and Mr Millyard in a video together. Legends both.

    Very few people , or dealers ever removed the headlight ears back in the day they just closed them together & left them on ,even Honda UK, There limited edition Gl 1000 executives still had the original ears left behind the fairing , i remember this from back in the day !!!!

    I'm restoring a 1972 CB125 K3 with pretty much identical forks - The chrome on those stanchions looks OK Guy so they are fine, Honda only chromed the working area, everything above is left as bare metal (hence the corrosion..) and unless the pitting is truly horrific to the point where the strength is compromised (yours don't seem that bad..) then all is well..

    Great video Skid, well done on finding the fairings and I'd keep them white as you could be easier for car drivers to spot on the road. Keep up the great work. ;-)

    I twice bought a Soupdragon in the 80s and the first thing I did was to junk the horrid Rickman fairing. Apart from the 30lbs of extra weight they produce an echo chamber on what is already a noisy engine. The going rate for a nice 250N in 1988 was £250, which is about £1000 in today's money. Those Benlies were similarly cheap and more fun/faster but were physically too small.

    Hi guy it’s not just me who spends lots of time looking for tools I’ve only got a pushbike and every time I work on it do loose my 4mm Allen key so now I’ve got 5 of them in my tool box to save me time

    Watching this series avidly. Perhaps you could have a look at the front brake while the wheel is out too?

    • @guywillison7447
      @guywillison7447  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It definitely needs new brake shoes. I’ll visit that down the line when I rebuild the wheels.
