No drawings, no CAD, Just visions in his minds eye. Unless you've witnessed it you wouldn't believe it. Genius, legend, all fitting accolades for a brilliantly talented and nice man.
Henry Cole seems to be able to find very special talented people to work with him on his tv shows. Some of the most entertaining and informative programs on the box.
Yea Allan is an incredibly talented intelligent individual. And Sam and guy. Imagine the inspiration within a friend's circle like that. There all Living the dream. And making a living out of something they love.
I was recommended his video's by you tube one evening, i had planned getting an early night as i was totally knackered. 2. 45am next day i thought " WTF has just happened!!" This guy is a genius, i am still having trouble taking this in!
Would love to see a TV documentary or series with Allen and Henry travelling around the world visiting other likeminded garden shed engineers and their creations.
Yes and he comes across as being such a modest person! (I hope he has registered loads of patents to his designs and at least gets some income from them!) evidently his wife is supposed to be an excellent cook, so how lucky is he ? 😊
Just love Allen!!!! Legend! 👌😀🏍️ Just realised this video has a few thumbs down hits-WHY?! What is wrong with people?!! Allen is a genius and is a fantastic engineer and has invented something no one else would be brave enough to do. Love all of his work keep it up Allen 👍👏👏👏👏
I want to smother Alan in love and praise and admiration and everything. He's found fame in Henry's shows and has earned buckets of admiration for creativity, engineering and humility. We are so blessed to se one man who DESERVES it all. (That's as well as Henry of course. How can you not love Henry to bits. )
I feel like being on the telly must be a real challenge for what I sense is an introverted Allen but he really shines in his gentle way. Total respect for you both.
Anyone would run out of superlatives for this man. Such a genius ( a word that’s been used often here, but have to agree) and incredibly humble. You get goose bumps just watching and listening.
Used to follow him to work regularly in the warmer weather when he worked as a ministry of defence engineer. His creations blew my mind and had me hooked on 2 stroke engines
This man is just so understated magic! What a fabulous designer and builder of these absolutely amazing bikes, so well done Allen, love these AND the skills you have!
Yes indeed 4 very special guys! Who wouldn’t want these talented people for friends. I watch HC programmes all the time. Even the the repeats on the various channels they broadcast on. Fabulous entertainment. Keep at it guys.
I remember visiting Allen back in 07 or 08, to chat mountain bikes. I asked what was under the blanket in the garage.. “a Dodge Viper engine, I’m going to make a bike with it” - I was like.. ok then ! A softly spoken genius no doubt.
Met Allen a couple of times at different shows, always a gentleman, always happy to chat. Filmed him starting some of those bikes at the National Motorcycle Museum open day where weirdly there was a guy walking around looking just like you....... it wasn't you because you were signing copies of your book inside.
I was fortunate to meet Allen at Goodwood, where he gave up a lot of his time to speak to us about his flying Millyard. Allen is a truly lovely person, he is very understated in an overstated world.
Mustn't forget Allen's stunning mountain bike designs. I'd love to see a Millyard designed electric assisted mountain bike. That would be something to behold.
He was lucky! I wish I could actually meet Allen Millard! He's a inspiration to me to build my Harley Davidson V4, engine, two EVOs joined together 2000 cc. Yes, it ate it's first transmission, I had to build a tranny to drag race specs. It's harder than it looks! Cutting up engine cases with a hacksaw blows my mind! I salute you Allen! Carry on!
He is an engineer in true sense. The man who had managed to absorb all the engineering concepts of his craft. Fabulous. Most of all, he used to be the Defense dept. Engineer, that speaks a lot about the man himself.
I met Allen in the Kawasaki Triples Club 30 years ago. Caught up with him at the Somerset Festival of Transport recently. His projects have just got bigger over those years to impressive level.
Coles a great entertainer and presenter,Millyards a genius. He's done so many builds, rebuilds and modifications. For me a little thing he did with the Viper bike just epitomises his talent. Not the enormous engine, not the quirky 'backfire' button but the ' centre stand'. That stand was so clever, so thoughtful and makes that enormous machine that bit more usable and easy to run and live with. A small detail that makes such a difference
Just felt I had to comment about the Puch Maxi...... my dad gave me his old 1969 Puch Maxi when I was about 12 in the early 80s. I used to ride it up and down the garden and along farm tracks at a friend's house (dad used to take it there on a trailer for me). That Puch Maxi is probably the reason I've loved motorbikes all throughout my life!
Allen, along with Mike Patey are my two heros. They both are at the top of their respective games, one just has a slightly bigger shed than the other. One day I hope to meet them both, if only New Zealand wasn't so far away from almost everyone else. Thanks for your inspiration.
Patey is like Allen in so many ways. He's fun to watch because he knows how to use the computer aided tools to their fullest and simply creates new limits that others haven't even thought of. Allen does the same but in the old school fashion.
Allen is a rare raw talent , he reminds me of ken miles in the film ford vs ferrari played by christian bale , just a pure naturally gifted person at what he does , love the shed and buried show hope it continues for a long time 👍
I woke up one morning and realized the world needs a Chity Chity Bang Bang Bike. I think we can all relate to that 🤣. If anybody is worthy of their own shown and legions of followers, it's Allen Millyard
Allen Millyard is a genius.. The word “Genius” is bandied about too easily. Allen truly is a genius.. A really nice guy, as well .. 👍
I totally agree.
yeah but he made crap bikes

Brilliantly bonkers in a uniquely British kind of way!
Allen Millyard doesn't need a computer with CAD. His mind is operating CAD. in his head, mixed with aesthetic Beauty of design in engineering. Art

Some of the most entertaining and informative programs on the box.
well to be fair he'd be buggered on his own ;)
It’s what Etonians are taught to do …….. get others to do the work whilst they take care of the money!
They work with him until he pisses them off, his ego must get very tiresome
Yea Allan is an incredibly talented intelligent individual. And Sam and guy. Imagine the inspiration within a friend's circle like that. There all Living the dream. And making a living out of something they love.

Shed TV is a great thing. I love backstreet creators of any craft.
@@andrewoliver8930 Best Idea I've heard for a long time
If there's any justice, this will be done
Henry has the TV production facilities to hand. This would be a great theme for a series. I like this idea very much.
Great idea but let's have just Allen , hey, mmmm, and leave out the quintessential, piste de resistance Cole.
Nothing but respect for this man❤️
You bet!😊👍
I love Milly, I'm not even a biker but he's just brill.
Allan Millyard is an engineering genius in our time and we are so very lucky to have him in the biking world, and such a nice guy too
Yes and he comes across as being such a modest person! (I hope he has registered loads of patents to his designs and at least gets some income from them!) evidently his wife is supposed to be an excellent cook, so how lucky is he ? 😊
If you watch his you tube stuff his wife often makes a cameo appearance, normally in the kitchen baking cakes which Allan often steals lol
Henry and his pals give me many hours of the best TV entertainment to be seen. Love all his shows.
Thanks for talking to Allen, and letting him speak about himself, we're so used to him being on camera. What a humble genius he is!!
I am struggling to find the words to make justice to these two guys together in the same place. More please!

Maybe they saw something, they didn't understand, and decided, that it was FAKE!
Can’t see any thumbs down but don’t underestimate the Henry Cole effect!
