My son works at Deloitte in San Jose and soloed at SQL. He went to school at SLO. I hope he crosses path with Marcin someday. Our plane is based at Thermal. Cybersecurity is sure an important job these days.
Thanks for your videos! I especially enjoy the sounds of the beautiful TBN! Not many pilots allow background sounds. Your commentary is enjoyable also.
There's a variety. You'll get the ignition CAS warning message, sometimes a low fuel left or right message, etc. Sometimes there's no rhyme or reason either.
@mkleczynski Thank you for the explanation. Triggering CAS when there is no rhyme, as you say, could eventually lead to ignoring real one. Meaning, resetting the CAS buttons constantly might lead to not pay attention to a possible real one?
Hey Marcin! Crazy that I found your channel randomly on TH-cam! Sent you an email with the limited information I could find a few years back, but probably wasn't the right one. Man a lot has changed since physics in undergrad at Illinois. I still remember that sweet Evo you had, but now you're flying sweet planes instead.😎
I hope to meet you sometime if you come back to TRM. My son is a CPA in San Jose and one of his best friends works for ACI in SLO. He did flight training at SQL. Our hanger neighbor at TRM has a Pilatus. I can’t help but wonder how it compares to the TBM? I found it very frustrating at my work that I was the only pilot. We had a Citation but it made no economic sense for our normal flights to AZ and NorCal. If we had a turboprop, we would still own a plane.
I see you climb out in Manual speed mode rather than FMS. In your descent you use a pilot defined airspeed of 210 in FMS mode. Can you program a pilot defined climb in the pilot defined climb profile? Just wondering about your technique..
Great questions. 1. I climb out in manual speed mode because I find 124 in FMS to be aggressive. I also don't need to be ripping through the airspace after the first level off where FMS kicks into max cruise. 2. I also find 230 to be an aggressive descent speed, especially through turbulence. But, this one is more about the inertial separator. There were early service bulletins where it had restrictions on the speed you can deploy it. 3. I cannot program a pilot defined climb. I believe it was an option in the 940 but I could be wrong.
@@mkleczynski A pilot-defined climb profile is an option in the 940. We have ours set at 145kts and switch to the cruise climb leaving 10K. A pilot-defined cruise profile is not available, though. Thank you for your response. It is interesting to see different pilot techniques.
@@Slure_splahy123 lots of trial and error for sure. Doesn't help that the GoPro batteries only last an hour or so of recording and bringing a bunch of chargers is logistically a nightmare!
Hi Marcin! Again great video!! I've sent you an email few days ago on your blog, please check it out in your free time. Keep the blue side up, cheers from Pol😊
I enjoy your commentary, I'm not a pilot so it helps a lot. Very much enjoy your videos thanks for sharing.
Love the videos Marcin, I'm a fellow pilot and cyber security professional. Super cool to read your story.

Love these longer vids, Marcin. Keep m coming!
Thanks for the video. Please keep 'em coming!
ATIS = Talking Moose!!
SLO is my home airport.
Love watching your videos! It would be interesting to get your perspective on the tbm vs the epic!
I'm wondering what those continuous CAS messages are during the engine starting? I've noticed that they pop up in every of your videos.

Thanks Marcin for another great video, really enjoy your videos. Was wondering when you would post a new one, guess you have been busy. Thanks Again

It's been a while! Find me on IG or first name at last name dot com.
Yeeee!!!! So glad you flew in! If you stay down for a bit, I’ll recommend some great food!
Edit: great landing!
Sweet another vid! Haven't been able to edit much myself with PC issues, but Malwarebytes seemed to solve it!
How much does fuel cost in your case? Would you record a video about cost I mean mainly maintenance
Did flying the cirrus (with the Garmin avionics)help with the transition to the TBM?
Absolutely. Lots of commonality between G1000 and G3000.
You don't use flight stream or such a short flight it was just as easy?
I'm always surprised that so many airports still use 1980's text-to-speech technology to record their ATIS broadcasts.
Ironically, the human ground controller wasn't much more understandable.

As someone in flight school. What kind of job does this person, and other TH-cam aviators, have to fly TBMs?
what camreas do you use
I use three Hero 12s.
