Another masterpiece! And, again, on short final, flying over my old HS. Our school had a noise lawsuit against SJ Airport decades ago....and lost. Keep flying!
Very nice video. Thanks for recording your flights. I follow a handful of pilots; it's nice to have another because it can be weeks or months between videos. Please keep them coming! The avionics are just beautiful. Your displays look like a flightsim (especially on the ground). Nice PIREP! I'm a meteorologist at one of the en route centers.
Please make a video about your story. On how you started your cybersecurity company that led you to the success of owning an Airplane. We aviation geeks dream of having such opportunities. Thx.
Great video! Very nice to see how you’re using the G3000 for a simmer like me who flies the TBM930 a lot in MSFS. Would be great if you could insert your flight plan inside the comments. Also would be nice to know why the ILS didn’t pick up! Thanks for the effort, greatly appreciated!
Thanks for the comment. No idea on the ILS yet, was going to reach out to some friends. As for the route, this flight was filed as KRDM ASLYN HOMED TOCOS ENI.PYE3 KSJC and clearance added the Redmond 3 departure when I picked it up.
@@mkleczynskithe same thing happened to me in the 960 before. Did you have an option to activate the leg? I also don’t know what happened with my situation either. I was visual, but still, it’s nice to have a glide slope to follow.
@@mkleczynski I looked at an Epic, no comparison to the TBM, Epic “claims” higher speed but that’s without the radar pod, as it’s an option! Not sure the Denali can deliver but I like the G3000 over the PC12 avionics. I agree the TBM is better in every category, The PC12 just carries more and can land on grass fields… what’s your full fuel useful load? I’m a full fuel guy.
Really enjoy watching your videos. Question regarding your altitude and your cabin altitude. Noticed you where at FL 31,000 and was wondering what your cabin altitude was at that flight level. The reason for the question is you mentioned that you had your dog with you and was just wondering what the cabin altitude was. BTW love your dogs name.
It's about 9,600 feat. It's also why I rarely went over 10,000 feet in the Cirrus with the dog. And if I did, he had a massive air cone on his head and looked like bubble boy. Not fun for either of us.
Thanks for the reply. I'm not a pilot but have done some flying from the right seat with friends. I just like fallowing aviation and all the new technology that has been coming out in the past few years. My two favorite planes are the Diamond DA62 and the TBM960. It was my understanding that FL 8000 was the recommend highest altitude when flying with your fur baby. I would love to have seen a photo of Rudder with his air cone, can't imagen he was very happy with the cone. Keep the videos coming, can't wait for the next one. @@mkleczynski
I noticed you referred to the “PFW” and “MFW.” I’ve never heard them referred to that before. I’m only familiar with PFD/MFD. What is the “W” definition?
You had me puzzled for a while. I always called it MFD as well. Turns out it’s because the PFD can be split into a Multi Functional Window (MFW) on the G3000. Good question. I guess both are correct in this case!
how dog is reacting on noise of plane, as always in videos we can hear only voice through mic and head set. I wonder how loud it is without hed set ?? dose dog latter is tired or no effect at all. Dose TBM960 is quiter than 930 or older family of 8XX?

I’m excited to ride around on this.

You flew right over my house at 35:40

What’s the other!?

Split between PC12/Denali pros and cons for both….
@Parr4theCourse my mentor pilot flew the Pilatus and said TBM was better! We’ll see what the Denali holds. Surprised you didn’t say the Epic.

Not sure about the 800 series but it’s definitely quieter than my Cirrus was. Dog does perfectly fine in the back!
How often do you fly into, and out of Redmond, OR (KRDM)?
Have you ever had the opportunity to fly the Piper 600M SLS? Comparison..
I have not. Looking at some cockpit photos, I do think the TBM design is more pilot friendly, but what do I know!
You need a Go -Pro on your front dash and on the rightside .
I’m running out of space! 😅
What was the configuration issue with approach that didn't capture localizer? Looked like you activated vectors/final. Was apr not punched?
Indeed, would be great to know, very curious about that one!
Procedure then Vectors to final and you would have had Both loc & GS.
Radar in 960 gets rid of ground clutter?
Yes, very good at it. GWX-8000 is pretty much all automatic.
no anti-icing for the radome?
No heating element in the dome, correct.
