Love these old vlogs Robbie. Pub of the week and Choons playing. Some nice drone action and some good canal footage. Ive watched them all before but definitely worth another go! So addictive 😀
A big thank you! We got into your TH-cam videos after we watched your second BBC series and we enjoy them very much. Whilst watching this one my wife was impressed enough to order me a box of Lymestone Breweries beers. So thank you, Robbie!
A marvellous video Robbie. For it's content alone, in my opinion, is one of the best you've ever made. I think this is the first time you've been recognised on film, as a "TV star". Congratulations on winning the unoffical Master Chef On The Canal competition.
WOW. LOL. All my favorites in one place. Beer, steak, sweet potatoes, cabbage, narrow boats, canals, and of course ROBBIE. Sweet. But seriously that honey beer looked amazing . .
Greetings from the cottage on the hill West Ireland, great video again, nice to see you with joe and michael and george. Steak in stout sauce and cabbage, you must be Irish now.
OOOH Robbie , I LOVED this post being from the area originally. There is only one STONE in the narrowboat community, the STONE in Staffordshire near Stoke-on-trent, the original Trent and Mersey Canal near the potteries ! Joules was the Beer of choice, and Marstons for the beer lovers up into the 70s and 80s. Still the epicenter of grass roots boating ! Near to Wedgewood Ceramics. Potter country. Short of a bit of cream , butter and pepper on the steak.. You have two choices , depending on your time vs this video. Cauldon at its best in the spring time if well stocked. Harecastle/Scarecastle. I am guessing you were held up in Stoke on Trent. Hope you did ok !
Now you’ve made me very very hungry. Great work and that brewery is now on my list of places to visit when we are cruising next year. Keep em coming Robbie Cumming, great vlog!
Such a happy moment to see your vlogs posted. Great to see Jo & Michael with you on a part of your journey. Yummy yummy steak and beers What a wonderful brewery seeing a husband and wife passionate about what they do Take care on your travels Keep safe dry and virus free
Hi Robbie. I've just binge watched your new four part series from Ellesmere Port to Birmingham on BBC iPlayer. Once again, brilliant to watch. That blanket weed was something else. It was like pulling a wet duvet through the hatch. Also nice to know a bit about the Naughty Las's past and her previous names. Thanks again Robbie, it was a pleasure to watch.
Stone is a great little town. I love that you're showing off the local & independent producers - that looked like an amazing steak, I'll put that butchery shop on my list for next time I pass through, as well as the oatcake shop.
It seems you're all in the same place at the moment: yourself, Minimal List and Foxes Afloat 😂. No doubt we will see you in Jo and Michael's video when they finally catch up. 😉
Hi Robbie, watch quite a few canal boat TH-cam channels but somehow had missed yours until now. I’m mightily impressed. Very well edited video 👍🏼. That steak looked delicious 😋 Take care. Nick
That's why i don't do burgers unless I can say exactly as i want it....looked a right mess! Love the tip of your hat to the vegies watching....very sincere indeed...lol. I noticed too, how you was fair to all the food and passed comment on the cabbage and sweet potato. lol Bollox to that lets get stuck into that steak....cracking video Robbie!
HEY ROBBIE, GOOD TO SEE YOU AGAIN. NEVER MENTIONED IT BEFORE BUT I REALLY LOVE YOUR THEME SONG. I KNOW IT'S ONE OF YOUR OWN TUNES, GOOD ON YA'. REMINDS ME OF THE THEME SONG ON THE ORIGINAL "THE WICKER MAN" MOVIE.
Stone is my home town, and I’m glad you managed to check out some of the lymestone beer. Viv and Ian ( Brad ), are a really lovely couple. As you can probably tell, the borehole is where I frequent. When there’s no lockdowns of course.
Enjoying a nice speckled hen watching this in Canada currently, was born and raised in and around Stone. Will for sure try that brewery when I visit in the future.
Loved the video and seeing you take time to teach everyone about the canals history and highlighting a local brewery is always a good thing and a business we should all support you also seemed alot happier in this video, I was pleased to see you recovered from your coal roblem you had recently... Stay happy and stay safe
I love the way you are completely unbiased when it comes to alcohol and am willing to try anything, lager, real ale, craft beer, craft keg. The trouble is too many beers and not enough years. Great to see you out and about again. I thought for a minute when you gathered up your peelings, you were going to say you could brew your own vodka.
I had half a titanic from the brewers previous place last night while travelling through Winchester. I hadn’t seen it before so it was weird to see it then pop up on this random video, like the phenomenon when you learn a new word. Stone looks like a good place to visit. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Robbie, great and interesting blog, yuk that Berger look discussing but tasty lol, nice to see Jo and Michael good of them helping you through the locks, wow think Michael has had a hair cut lol ,I like your information you told us about the Brewery how’s the family getting excited for Christmas I bet ,when dose the TV program start please?,got to say that stake looks delicious nothing like a nice stake 🐂🤪 hope you enjoyed it lol well till next time take care keep safe,John 🥳🤩🍺🍺🍺
Hey Robbie, it did make my laugh when you said; “right let’s find Pub of the Week” Then you put it in fast forward and it looked like you were running! Like you couldn’t wait 😂 Thanks
Video was great. But on the cooking I'll give my 2cents worth. I would of fried my cabbage in the sauce in the frying pan. I fry all my cabbage. I love it that away. Try it sometime I think you'll like it better. You made me hungry for cabbage now. Thanks a lot Robbie I've got to go back to the store to get cabbage after I've just been to the store & spent over $350.00 dollars. We was out of trash bags, tin foil, pepper towels, bathroom tissue, shampoo, bath soap, & more like light bulbs & so on. My back account said ouch....... Oh well you've got to have it don't you? We're having stake tonight & sweet potatoe fries. Can't wait till 5pm CT....... lol.... My mouth & tummy is ready now after seeing your steak..... Be safe & crank away friend across the pond, Chris from Missouri
@@RobbieCumming just w/a little oil & a cup of water. The water boils it, then evaporates, then sir it around until it's got a little color & is done. Yummy, yummy
Excellent combination of beer blog, pub blog, geography blog and history blog. Very well presented - good pace and flow of info. @4:21 please note that Christina Collins was murdered in 1839, not 1879.
Steak ! Oh How the other half Lives ! ( as I sit here with my Beans on Toast ) But then, such meals to be expected when your a BBC Media Star . Still after that Burger you deserved a treat . Lovely edited and informative video as always . Looking forward to the next one .
Great video as always Robbie. I'll check out that brewery and their beers for sure. It's nice to see people ready and willing to lend a hand on your journeys as well. I'll check out that couple's channel for sure
Tier 4 = Homebrew. Wilko's do some very decent Lager/Bitter/Cider & Stout kits. Plenty of (cheap) beer that you don't have to carry back to Naughty Lass. Not to mention a whole new avenue to Vlog about :)
Brilliant Robbie I really enjoy the manner in which you reveal the British countryside , its towns, and your jingle really brings the best out of my nine channel amp by all means keep cranking its been awhile and i wish to see more cheers Wal.
Now that's a piece of steak!! I know it's just a snack for our cousins across the pond, but we've still not quite got over food rationing over here yet!!!!😋😋😆😂
I'm really sorry that happened to you and I am very glad you are standing your ground. I think in these times it's important to reach out to others . Sadly there are some people out there that haven't realized the gift of compassion. Stay healthy and strong ! Happy Christmas.!
Binged watched your latest series on Saturday, I hope the BBC grant you another one. You could easily make it into an 8weeker. Gives a great insight into a boaters life, especially a solo cruiser, lot harder than cruising with a partner, in my opinion, as I boat with the wife. Good luck for the future.
Hello Friend, I enjoyed the video. Reminded me to never order the "Hot Mess" sandwich! LOL Anyway, I wish you and your family a Very Merry Christmas from the USA.
Here I am sitting at home just chilling out catching up with these great video's during our 3rd lock down , miss getting out along the canals coming across a great watering hole . Cant wait for better times ahead and more of your video blogs Good Luck for 2021 Robbie
Do you realise that this video has made me hungry? ;-) What's worse is I haven't long finished eating and if I have anything else I'll have problems sleeping!
Hi Robbie, seeing the culinary content in the thumbnail, I had to save this up for my dinnertime, today, otherwise the hunger pangs at 23:00 (my normal viewing time) would have been difficult. You certainly didn't disappoint with that steak - I could taste it from here. Also, your lockdown vids are the best on YT, because you just confront the issue head on. The only way i.m.h.o. Here in Bavaria, things are again going from bad to worse and the politicians are again panicking uselessly. We now have an intensified "lockdown light" from 9.12., but it won't bring the results unfortunately.

A blast from the past for me. I grew up in Stone and worked in the office at Bents Brewery which is where the Lymestone brewery is now.
Fantastic Robbie. “I don’t half talk bollocks sometimes” laugh out loud moment. Great, unassuming, honest vlogs. Love ‘em.
Glad you enjoyed your visit to our town.
I also enjoyed using your website to check a few facts too 🤓👍
I am intrigued by the rattley chug chug of this Narrow Boat's engine. Sounds dam noisy. Is the engine open air type; traditional I believe.
