Brilliant stuff Robbie :) Yorkshire is one of those rare places in the country which still has an abundance of ‘real people’. Thanks too for the proof that I’m not the only only one who’s cursed by DIY. It always puts me in a bad mood, even before I start it! Just the thought is enough :p
Looks really great - dying to see your new curtains. I was sat here watching and saying " you need some new curtains " and wey hey right at the end you say you have some. Love the new furniture it works really well. So glad you're back again. Good to see Barry looking so good. I remember that vlog - great to see how he's gone from strength to strength. Really great vlog thank you
Thanks for the catch up video. Robbie you have been so busy. Great renovating and all hand made, well done with your new skills! Very impressive knife and axe throwing, who would have thought it would be as life saver for you. K eep cranking! x
Congratulations to Barry on his 2 years sober. My father in law was in AA and he said every day was a struggle. The work on the boat looks great and you are doing it which makes it more personnel. Never tried knife or axe throwing looks fun but not a Pub activity.
Your flooring in bathroom looks really nice. The table and bench made from recycling pub tables looks amazing. Seems your carpentry skills has improved.
When I think of good British Pubs I think of Robbie Cumming. Your new decor is beautiful Robbie and so fitting. Can't wait to see the whole ball of wax.
Great video mate. Hope everything is good with life and you’re not having to take your mind off anything too serious. Great to see Barry! As a child of an alcoholic parent, who died of liver cirrhosis, it’s great to see him doing well!
What a lovely vlog ❤ You should get commission from Annie Sloan 😊 Great to see reclaimed wood being repurposed to something far better than before . Looking forward to seeing the curtain instal . Thanks for a lovely vlog and your canal boat diary's too Robbie. Happy knife throwing 🧜♂️
Love your renovations, who knew you were such a craftsman? I've been wanting to throw an ax or knives since I saw a demo at a bridal shower.. long story. Good to see the boys are doing well. Interesting and fun video Robbie . well done
Now I've started making axe throwing enquiries for places local to me! Good job all round Robbie, great to hear you're still cranking it despite recent emotional life changes. Onwards and upwards xx
Great vid, loving the new furniture fantastic recycling, can't wait to see the new curtains. Good to see Barry doing well too. Always love the choons.... especially the one at the end of this vid, was like I was back in the Hacienda (there's showing my age lol). Keep safe and cranking it.
Tidy boat, tidy mind. Love that modular unit thingy. Steaming oak strips is the sign of a real quality old school joiner. You've got some really good people around you. Great video Robbie.
I have to say this was one of the best narrowboaty vid I've watched. My bruv lives on a narrowboat in Wales & this vid just sums up the great community, camaraderie you will find in basins like this around the country. As you say there's no one-up-manship, just good, sincere people helping each other out. Respect to you, Nev & Barry
NOICE! The sheer effort that must've gone into making this video... Thank you for sharing the latest with us! Shouldn't have tittered quite so hard at the swearing over the measurements; I'd be exactly the same. Actually, worse. Seriously well done. I'll try that storage tip, too! And best wishes to Barry, of course. ~
Great vlog Robbie very honest. Like me if I start a job and I have never done it before it's tough but with patience and time to think how too you get there in the end and your right that there is a great deal of satisfaction on your achievements. Finding routines that you are comfortable with is of great benefit to your well-being. I like you have a pub of the week every week and I really really like going to. Keep safe on your travels and try not to fall in the canal Thank you for your time and efforts to produce your vlogs it means a great deal to me and my wife we love to see your work. Keep safe warm dry and virus free.
Hi Robbie, well what a difference you and your mate have made to your boat it looks great 👍 using S/H wood is such a good idea like the colour you have painted the new cabinets love your new taps and so on ,seams to me you can do more then you think you can do well done, the ax and knife throwing looks great fun looks like you really enjoyed it what a hobby, just goes to show you need a woman touch to tidy you boat up you got to say it was a tip yes ,so pleased to see you M8 in recovery he is doing a great job well done him ,well Robbie you take care keep safe happy cruising,,John 👀🙏😂✋🛠🛠🪚🪓🪓🪓
I love your new units! Spectacular. Design, colour and finish.. Gorgeous. We've also gone for curved units on our boat... It makes sense eh?though ours are lime green! 😂👍
Loved seeing your renovations and creations..yes I like Annie Sloane paint for same reasons 😀 good colour..flooring looked good and your Universal Module Unit I am so impressed and jealous.. 😀..so glad Barry doing well and the support of a good friend is priceless...
Aww Robbie you can only do your best I love your boat and your programme on BBC Four, it's so comforting and relaxing I look forward to it so much 👍👍🤩😊
Wow Robbie, this one was full of surprises, love the upgrades, good to give recycling a 2nd home too. Well done, impressed with the axe throwing, what hidden talent X
Great to see you having a good time surrounded by friends and to see Barry doing so well. The Naughty Lass looks fantastic and can't wait to see the curtains adding the finishing touch (there's a final curtain joke in there somewhere, I just can't find it). Safe travels.
Robbie, don't be so hard on yourself. We've all "been there/done that". We learn from our mistakes. Have found in the past in cutting "anything" to fit, try to use a template (from paper or cardboard) for those hard places. Oh, and of course, don't forget to cut ono reverse side. It's all in the practice. Learning. Floor looked great and so your shelving/sink, etc. It's usually easier if you can complete gut out a room (empty it of everything) and then you have lots of room for remodeling. Place is looking good. Take care out there. Stay safe and it's good to see you smiling your ol' self again.
I’ve been re-watching some of your vlogs. Dibbing in and out from 5 years ago to now. I just want to say.... you come across as such a kind, considerate and very genuine man. Telling patreons to stop donating during the pandemic if they’re struggling, doing these vlogs for the right reasons- an art form and not to make money, and just how able you are to bounce back from the trial, tribulations and challenges of life... even when you don’t really want to or don’t know how to. We’re all in charge of the person we are. Life is all about making the most of it- having a laugh, meeting new people, having new adventures and well, if things don’t turn out how we dreamed, there’s always a bit of axe throwing to get the adrenaline pumping again! Thank you for being... you. Perhaps a bit of a liability here and there (!! 😂😂) but always a gent. 🤗🤗 xx
@@RobbieCumming 🤣 that’s the badger! “Gentlemanly liability”! You’re welcome honey. Just a thought: Would you be able to do a blog about moving onto the water- or have you already and I haven’t seen it? Id love to move onto a boat but it seems insurmountable just now. I overthink a bit too, maybe. I’m trying to get my head around saving for one while paying (pretty expensive) rent; I worry a bit about leaving the boat and how secure it’d be; I’m RUBBISH at DIY and genuinely think I might just sink the thing by making a ‘rookie’, silly mistake.... Anyway, what do you think? (Oh, I’ll be on my own too, so no ‘man hands’ to help me!) 🤗🤗 xx
Don't beat yourself up mate, we have all been there!! I'm into my second year of refining the interior of my narrowboat and i still make silly mistakes!! only thing i will say is don't rush and just enjoy what your doing!! All will be good in the end!! If you want it to be better then it will in the end!!
Excellent video. Wonderful use of space on your boat. Ash and oak are great choices. Good grain.Turquoise is a superb shade. Looking forward to seeing the new curtains. 😀
Looks fantastic, sometimes you need a refresher to move on to another chapter in life. Each piece of wood brings back a memory and holds its own untold story.
Fantastic renovation on the Naughty lass! Enjoyed the series from the beginning, great to see such kind, humorous, energetic minds supporting each other throughout. Also great to see a behind the scenes insight on your vlog, bleeps and all 😂 looking forward to Fred Dibnahs pub of the week! And really enjoyed you going back to Black Sabbath Routes recently 🤘🏻 what a time to be alive! Keep up the good work Robbie!
Robbie what an ace video! You look and sound amazing and seen really happy. 🤗 What a transformation you've done to the NL! So good to see how you achieved it all with the help of Nev & good ole AnnieSloan👍and everyone could do with your fab sort your life out friend! Keep throwing those axes 🪓 😘

Looking good Robbie, great to use old timber and give it a new lease of life, love the wax finish on your unit, looking forward to seeing the whole project finished , with the new curtains up.
Good to hear that Barry is doing so well. Nice to see Lou (missing Maeve though) and to see your renovations and changes. Knife and axe throwing looks cool too.
Great vid! If you don't screw up occasionally, you'll never learn anything! I'm glad Barry is still doing good! I like your boat, because it looks lived in and has character! It may not be "polished" as some boats are (and "polish" is good too!), but like my home, it's what I have so it's perfect, or I change it to make it perfect for me, just like what you're doing on your boat! When you can make stuff yourself, learn how to do it, or have a good friend to help or teach you, that's great and getting supplies cheap or free is just icing on the cake! Keep up the work on the tomahawk and knife throwing! Thanks!

love that paint and the axe throwing and a brilliant use of old tables very inspirational. were planning on doing a lot of reclam features on our boat series we're documenting on here from scaffold floors to whiskey barrel sinks we have almost ripped all the old rotten flooring out ready to paint the bilges keep up the good work and more axe videos 🤩
I make my own furniture too, very satisfying. Your new pieces are very functional, well designed, and by no means easy to make. Hats off for steam bent oak! Laying floors in complicated areas, not easy at all, the end result looks great. Also, Nev is an excellent friend. All in all a lovely new video.
Robbie - I feel for you. It looked hard work to get it right - but at least you persevered and, in the end, were successful. I'd say you need to be extra proud, because clearly it isn't natural to you. Excellent stuff.
Barry’s an inspiration! Thanks for including him in your video. A remarkable journey and so happy for him.
Love what you've done to the Naughty Lass Robbie! Those units look amazing!

That self created furniture is brilliant. Everyone needs a Nev in their life 🤣. Think the word is “patina” 😉x
Hi it was great to finally meet up with you at the leggers this week. Hope you enjoyed your 4 quarts of beer.
Yes John cheers🍻
The Naughty Lass looks wonderful..really lovely..I couldn’t do axe or knife throwing…there’s just too many people who would become targets! 😄😁

I love throwing knives and axes. So much fun and challenging. Also good to see Lou. I miss her videos.
My favourite bit was the 'perfect half moon'you cut for the toilet but on the'wrong side'of the wood!!!!
Hi Robbie, thank you for sharing your journey. The BBC program was also fantastic. Keep doing what you're doing really appreciate it.

That Universal Modular Unit is downright brilliant, and attractive too with its natural wood, brass, light green, and wax.
22:05 Way to go, Barry!! Stay strong.
Be proud Robbie; DIY magic. I've made a point of learning something new every year - loving the axe throwing, brilliant!
Great vlog snd loved what you did with the old timber from the Pub. The floor in the end turned out great. Love it. Cheers Keith Melbourne Australia.
I really like furniture pieces made from old (recycled) wood - the ghosts of the old piece seem to live on in the new one.
Great video Robbie, DIY in my world stands for Destroy It Yourself LOL !!

Good idea Robbie 😉 , if you don't ask you don't get and with the potential from all your followers the likelihood of more sales is huge 🙃💕
Wonderful furniture. INSPIRED!!!! LOVE the polish over turquoise. Fantastic idea, which I may use one day.
Robbie, the Lass is really looking good mate. Congratulations to your friend Berry. Well done. Keep living one day at a time my friend
Loving the renovation of The Naughty Lass Robbie. The new curtains will look fab . It'll be easier to keep everything tidy. Lovely to see Barry too 👍.
The paint with the wax on it makes it look like patina. I'm so glad you kept the sink/hob. You'd pay a premium for something like that now.
Great Job Robbie ,Naughty lass is going up in the world and also great to see you busy and happy )
Every DIY project, Ever. But the finished product is what counts, not the wasted time and expense!
Well done Barry! The renovations are beautiful and I'm looking forward to the next vid.

The boat looks great and it’s unique. I think you might find your joinery is better than the joiners film making 😁 Thanks for sharing.
I dunno he’s not bad at that either! Lacks patience for editing though😂
