Depends on how long your songs have been live and if they're generating streams. Statements come every month

I got 2 questions when a song is accepted do you need to register every other year or only once ?
Do i register only my part ? The producer summits there part

Thanks for the walk through. I've released music but haven't registered yet. Not sure which company is best for me. BMI, ASCAP, or Songtrust. It's a bit confusing, so this helps.

ASCAP or BMI for your PRO should be fine. Songtrust is an admin publisher, not related to PROs

What do you do when you are a band of two people featuring one person at 25% as a writer everyone on ASCAP, do u still add feature’s Publishing Company? And divide the 25 percent for feature by two: features as writer and publisher? ASCAP won’t let me click person has no publisher.

Every writer needs their own publishing entity. Even if they are the same. For writer's who don't have a publisher AND are with ASCAP, I would recommend signing up for a publisher account since they don't allow roll-ups like BMI does

Is the recording artist portion the artist name or legal name?

For artist it should be their artist name.

For the "Has this work been performed?" question, do I put my legal name or my stage name?

    • @musicbyazuma

I would put stage name but it doesn't really matter
