Why is Konami TCG so scared of Zenmaity? I legitimately don't understand why it is still banned. Its BEEN at 3 in OCG and MD and it ain't doing anything.
Honestly, I think the OSS ban has done a lot more harm than good. I get wanting to deal a lethal blow to Snake-Eyes and push Azamina towards the more profitable White Woods market, but rogue options like Fire King, Infernoble, T.G., Infernoid etc. that can finally afford Diabellstar are so much worse off. Completely unnecessary hit imo, esp w SE's poor rep at the YCS top-end
The #1 purpose of the banlist is to make sure you buy new product, all the things you mentioned are old product and they don't earn money from old product.
For the *number of total f/l updates since the game launched*th time. Your rogue deck doesnt matter, neither konami, nor anyone online nor even you mum, cares if your rogue deck was weakened by the banlist, they care about player retention and future profit.

Honestly I am glad I’m not gonna likely go against Tenpai at locals anytime soon although to be fair I am effectively playing 2025 Yu-Gi-Oh! at my locals with me playing Blue-Eyes with the new cards and its honestly lots of fun and Ryzeal feels very beatable with the deck.
I think something a lot of people arent considering the deckbuilding aspect of this list. The primary reason we've been trapped in this 16 hand trap format is pretty much strictly because of snake eye and yubel. Not only that, but the clear new top dogs, ryzeal and maliss, are difficult to deal with via targeted negation from hand, but can be dealt with much more efficiently with breakers. It depends on how these decks shape up over the coming months, but theres a chance we start to move out of this shitty phase of deckbuilding to combat the new threats in more efficient ways, which gives space for otherwise invalidated strategies to try and find their place
@MrKiwitox the major difference is the banning of OSS. While I doubt this outright kills snake eyes as a deck, it severely impacts its functionality as a package in azamina or fire king. This deck was the starting point for the appearance of decks with bloated non-engine counts, because there was simply no other way to compete with it. Yubel isn't nearly as bad off, but we certainly have to consider just how rooted in modern deckbuilding principles snake eyes was. With it seemingly gone, this in turn *could* start a shift in those principles. Only time will tell for sure.
My issue is it just powers through and kills. Sure hit me hard. Sure, play through my disruptions, sure, interact with me. Just going to punch hard enough to kill after disruption and being immune in main phase is frustrating and unfun
Can we bring back Drident back alrdy. And Broadbull also. Yes I said it. Broadbull is fine in 2025, just like King of the Feral Imps. Ever seen someone complain about King of Feral Imps outside of being the opponent in Subreplay Friday
Kong of the feral imps searches a terrible monster type. Broad turns 1 zoo + 4 dead cards into full tribrigade combo and thats just what I thought off in like 10 seconds, I bet theres some atrocious stuff you can do with it.
THIS LIST WAS SO AWESOME! Meta is hit hard, Tenpai is basically dead, Snake-Eyes is very weak, Phantom to one, Gimmick Puppet Nightmare banned, Jowgen banned, I'm so happy I get to keep my Sanctifire until I get my Blue-Eyes structure deck! (I've never used Sanctifire for locks) This list was so hype! I just wish shifter got banned, but this was still amazing!
Amazing is a massive overstatement, list will have not have much effect on the format, Yubel and Snake-Eye were already going to be seeing less play because of Maliss and Ryzeal and OSS hit hurts rogue decks more than actual Snake-Eye. This list essentially just sealed the format to be Ryzeal and Maliss more than it was already going to be

The meta already got rotated with the release of Ryzeal and Maliss, this list was just a bunch of nothingburger jingling keys to make the mentally deficient like you think they did something.

People had a deck that no longer is top tier and had little representation in top cut, now a core card is banned and they will have a hard time selling the deck to recup their money because the new meta decks are 1200$ each. I much rather, play a cancer meta of fire than to not play at all. This shit is not accessible, it is not affortable and frankly i much rather spend my time with master duel and Omega.
I don't even think Tenpai is fun to play in master duel. It just feels like numeron with extra steps.
Honestly, any monke deck more complicated than Ben Kei, and I'd rather play a real deck.
The deck is basically wearing a Trojan condom while immersively stepping on your opponents with steel toe boots with spikes on them

I mean it’s a Ronintoadin/Toadally Awesome situation where TCG has Zenmaity banned and OCG+MD has Hunter banned.
Its cause Hunter is still as 3, while they dont ban it zenmaity wont be unbanned

The ban list is really similar to the OCG, and there people still use 20 handtrap decks

Konami could unban half of the banlist back to 3 and nothing would happen to Tier 1 Meta due to Powercreep, would just enable more Rogue Decks
