Very cool. Can Grain be run on existing videos? I have attended and been sent ( post demo) the recording of a demo I attended and I wanted to share it with co-workers. I've them cut down the video manually to show them the most important parts and forwarded. This would be a cool tool to simplify that.
This would be really useful for someone like me who suffers from an auditory and sequence processing disorder. I find our meetings in work to be really awkward at times because unless I write things down as people are saying them, I will have forgotten everything within a few minutes of the end of the meeting. If someone asks me to do one thing at the start of the meeting, another thing in the middle and another thing at the end, if I haven't written them down there's a good chance I'll have forgotten the first two things by the end. And sometimes it's awkward to ask people to wait for me to write what they're saying down during the meeting too. I may try the free version in work to see if it helps, although as John Butterill asks in the comments, it will also depend on the other people in the meeting too - what if they don't want to be recorded...?
Thanks for sharing your experience. And yes, this may be the perfect tool for this purpose. As for privacy, it would be no different than using the built-in recording tools of Zoom, Meet, and other such video conferencing tools.

Is there something similar for an in person meeting?
Their site says, "Start for Free" with up to 100 meetings and transcripts. Do they also limit the time of how long the account stays free?
No, at least not that I know of.

Is there anything like this for when I'm doing an audio call, say, via Google Voice?
Bill, I'm not familiar with an app that can do this for phone-only meetings. But perhaps someone else here in the comments may have a suggestion.
Does the program also run on Windows?
For now, I believe it is just a web-based app.
what if the meeting has already occurred? or if it's audio of a call or podcast? Can these be added to Grain to get the transcripts?
