    Pick your place carefully. Leave options for sudden relocation. Sudden temp change of shadow can create pop up thunderstorms that can quickly ruin the event if you can't move quickly.

    Do we even question that this erstwhile magical event will happen? It recently became harder to salute Science, because politics took over during the pan. But Science, in general, should still warrant our fealty. I have my bachelor's in science, so many of my questions (when we were at the mercy of the combo of politics/Science) went unanswered and were considered misinformation or disinformation. How long will it take before we can trust our doctors again??
    I tried to say that getting a little bit of sunshine would help my body make its own Vitamin D, which would in turn help my immune system, which would most likely improve my health; when I combined this with getting vaccinated, I was shut down, demonetized.
    Think about it: I said do both. I DID NOT say get sunshine INSTEAD of getting vaxxed. I said doing both would probably be healthier, and that was enough to get me unceremoniously jettisoned.
    Now they're telling us that our sunshine will be shut down for a while. Do we believe them?

    • @MrJuvefrank
      @MrJuvefrank 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Sunshine is not going to "shut down" in our life time, Brother. The moon can get between the earth and the sun. It's just like your shadow. You block the sun from shining on part of the ground; that's what causes a shadow.

      Vitamin D is good but of limited efficacy against viruses. India had the highest death toll, including parts where the locals get plenty of sunlight. Ten million, maybe more. Peru, Indonesia, Nigeria, Egypt, other tropical places suffered badly. Anyone "distrusting" doctors because of the pandemic has some internal psych issues to work through.

    🌞1999 I survived the total eclipse outdoor in Bavaria, Germany.
    🌑It rained a lot until it got dark, then the rain stopped, complete silence, no birds nor dogs...
    🌧There was a "☯" in the epicenter in the nimbostratus above, ~2km S of me.
    ☔Rain continued with the returning light.
    🛗Also interesting was a weak "elevator-effect" in the legs, that You feel, when an elevator stops up- or downwards.

      It's all or nothing. 99.9% is simply a partial eclipse and you'll miss all the things that totality brings. You won't be able to look at the sun without eye protection. Even being in the center of the path doesn't mean a thing if it's really cloudy. The path of totality only offers about a 40% chance of clear skies in the U.S at this time of year. Mazatlan, Mexico gives you a 75% chance of blue skies. The further North you go, the worse it gets. Texas is a pretty good bet, but it's still weather dependent.
