Great video Jamie. I recently took a client to lunch at Karla at Yagan Square. There were three of us. We had the feed me menu and it was the best meal I’ve had so far this year. We paid $85 or $89 each (can’t remember) and they kept bringing more plates out. We thought we were done and got up to pay but they said “Oh wait, dessert is coming!!” So we sat down again and 3 desserts came out. We had 12 dishes, 13 if you count the rice, and rolled back to the office 😂
The food looks yummy 😋 and so do you! Thankyou for recommending & showing different places here in Perth I otherwise might not visit. Well done on your content. 👍
Missing some hardcore local staples, if we are talking the city center. Saigon on Hay St , does a laksa for about $16 that will *rock* ya socks. The chef is probably Uncle Rogers sifu. Gyu- En Japanese BBQ on Barrack St does a $50 all you can eat bbq (like korean bbq) wagu beef menu ,beats any steakhouse. Golden Bakery on William St $7.50 best bacon egg bbq toastie in the state of Western Australia, those ladies will hook you up . Le Vietnam on Barrack st $15 Vietnamese sandwiches (bahn mi) so good its a benchmark for other sandwiches. Destiny Patisserie & Café $6.5 meat pies that arguably best pies in the state of Western Australia, bloody amazing pies . Canton , and Northbridge Chinese on Roe st (next to each other) approx $40 each to crazy yum cha style . SaltNPepper squid! Stuzzico on Hay St $7 double slices of the best pizza n the city, its Italian guys making really appealing crunchy fresh pizzas
I would like to add Keni Donuts + Cafe in Guildford! We were so surprised to find a Filipino restaurant in the middle of a historical town and their beef tapa was SO GOOD. It was truly the highlight of our trip!
Check out Neho in Vic park if you haven't yet, Miso Corn Gratin and Karachini Balls are the best for food, Tom Yum cocktail for something interesting to drink Go down the street to Piyawat the Sweetery for something a bit more homey and modestly priced but still delicious. Crispy Tom Yum prawns and Sukiyaki (dry) with chicken are my faves
thanks so much for the recs! haven't been to piyawat but i loveee thai food! i've been to neho a few times but havne't been recently. need to try the dishes you recommended! tom yum cocktail sounds very unique hahah
Hey Jamie, 👋 so cool that you are bringing attention to our beautiful city. For the absolutely best pizza in Perth, you have to try TWO MAD TUSCANS on Beaufort St INGLEWOOD. Andy is the pizza chef and Monica is his wife who runs front. A small intimate pizzeria. Tell him JD has sent you. Good on you for your effort and passion. 👏🏽 ✌️
So excited to share this round up!! Please share any of your faves - I’m always looking for new places to try 😍 thank you for being here!!
