This song came out when I was 11 or 12. I could do it then, not sure if I can now though.
Growing up and living in LA when the song came out...I totally 'got' the perspective AXL had when he wrote this...and seeing him and GUNS back in 88/89 with the cult...yeah...and needless to say I LOVE the original so much I never thought someone would be able to do this...LEO...THANKS! I loved your take on it...and enjoy the video tremendously!

It's hard to add intensity to one of the most intense songs ever made. I'm one of the biggest critics when it comes to covering Guns N' Roses songs. No one can top what Axl, Slash, Duff, Izzy, and Steve did, but you did this justice.

So this was written when Axl was in the Seattle area, specifically a little North Kitsap town called Hansville. I lived near there far later than when he was there, and it was still very rural then.

Hearing GnR always makes me melancholic in a way. I wish those guys would have been less busy being pretend rockstars instead of just writing more music. I mean only 3 proper albums, a cover album, a weird half studio, half live album and an afterthought by the lead some 20 years later is definately not enough for the talent and quality they had.
Yep, sad but true..they could've gone a lot further, if they'd dropped the pretentious & fake 'rockstar wanna-be' look, and just done their music, straight from their core..
Some of the work they put out will be timeless and still getting played decades from now..the rest will be lost & forgotten within just this next generation's own new heros of the pop charts..
But that's also true of many other bands in that genre, from that time, too..look at Poison, look at..aw hell, nah, don't get me started..
