    OMGOSH! You are amazing!! I feel faint. I've been struggling with pleats and spaces for MONTHS. You're so easy to follow. I'm SO glad you're good at math, because I definitely am NOT! 😁 Thank you so much for making this video. Same goes for your tutorial on "Stack Back"
    The way you explain it FINALLY made it all click into place. 🥰🥰🥰🥰

    This video was extremely helpful!!! With the popularity of IKEA hacks, I’m shocked this hasn’t gone viral. Thank you so much for your great work on this video.

    I wasn't buying curtains for this exact reason because if they were not even I wouldn't be able to peacefully sleep but i badly needed darkening curtains! Thank you so much for solving this!

    Thanks for all the detailed photos, illustrations, and tables. This was extremely thorough and well explained! The one thing that it's missing is how to add more than one panel to one side, since the hooks will be slightly off. No doubt you have a precision solution there, as well.

    Great video. You must have gone through a LOT of trial and error in order to get those final numbers. Thank you for sharing that knowledge.

    The fact this stuff exists is wild to me. Thank you for the video. What a wild world drapery is. I love it. An algorithm for pleats and it's called the New York Pleat Algorithm.

    Just wanted to say a HUGE Thank you for this video! Saved me such a head ache on pleating and hanging my Ikea curtains!!
    Also - I didn’t have pins to hold the Riktig curtain hooks in so I used my small binder clips and they got the job done! Thanks so much!

    Thank you so much for this. I dreaded taking my curtains down to wash because of having to put them back up. Thanks to you, they went up in five minutes a panel. Thank you, Thank you.

    So helpful, I've used this video in two apartments now!
    A tip for others, on the newest set of ikea curtains I bought, the number of loops between each "dead zone" has changed from 16 to 14, but the number of dead zones and total length has stayed the same. Therefore the loops must have gotten wider.
    I couldn't figure out the math to make sure, but I moved the x one loop closer to the dead zone, and didn't change anything else, and that seemed to work!

    To keep the pleating hooks from falling out I did this with 4 prong hooks. If you slide 2 prongs into the X section it stays pretty snug.

    3:15 HI, it's not clear to me what you did with Y hook. Did you insert the x hook in one slot only? I think I figured it out. Thanks!

    I have a very large span of 196 inches. I am planning on using 8 panels, 4 on each side. How would you figure out the hook spacing? I am having a hard time figuring it out. Thanks for your video.

    • @helenathome5342
      @helenathome5342  2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      196 ÷ 8 = 24.5 so the "26" should get you there. Big job! Good luck.
