I noticed in your mech salvage your hunchback savage number is yellow. That means you can assemble the hunchback using other variant parts. You have a huncie.
This. In the same way that you can sell salvage by clicked the little “+”, you can do the same to add other variant components to finish another version.
@@richardlambert2627 You do know if you are talking about a mech in a market all markets in the game are random. What you see is not what he will see. Now if you are talking an actual mech reward from a mission gotten through the transmissions that is something else.
@@xJamesLaughx According to Riyana it's a mech from a forgotten Star League cache. It's unique, but Not a "hero" mech. It's the only one in the game so if you sell it, then it's gone for good. I'm guessing that this was a Easter egg mech or maybe something that was meant for a quest that never materialized.
I strongly advice an LB-X10 as soon as possible. one ton lighter, and you can switch ammo. It'sll SAY cluster or solid but you can ammo swap with ctrl+weapon binding regardless even on one ton of ammo at the moment.
A little tip, since I'm using the Pilot Overhaul mod as well. Since you can change the names of your pilots, you might want to add what mech they are supposed to pilot to the name or, alternatively, put the name of the pilot into the mech's name. Personally, I do both, so I have, say, "Mason Garrilac - AS7-D" and the Atlas he is assigned to will be named "Mason's Atlas" Makes it a lot easier to keep track of who is piloting what mech once you get to 8+ mechs and pilots.
Just a heads up on the Mech salvage screen: if you see number of components listed in yellow, you can combine those parts with another variant to build a Mech. The interface to do so will be similar to when you sold individual parts and there was a toggle to decide how many parts to sell. You could've built that Hunchback to sell when you were raising money to buy the Shadow Hawk, and also taken a third Quickdraw part at the end to get that, even though the fifth part would have been another variant.
One of my mods adjusted the health of the minor enemies (like turrets, tanks, and VTOLs) by 3x. That's especially brutal for early game when you're running all low tonnage mechs.
The AC 10 on the Grey Death is actually doing a lot of damage, the VTOLs have triple their normal health. The AC 10 is doing good work you should keep it on the mech
Hey Bara if you're ever around the southeastern part of Kurita space, then check out the 55 ton Wolverine II located in the "Victoria" system. It comes fully loaded with a ultra ac5 mk 2, srm 6 st art iv m2, a mp laser mk 2. It also had ferro fibrous armor + endo steel.
@@DIEGhostfish It's free. All you have to do is stop at the system and Riyana will give you a message that you've discovered a forgotten Star League cache. It's in the vanilla game so it should show up in all mod games as well. It's a unique mech which is never sold, so if you sell it then it will never appear again.
Quick update: I put down the wrong star system. My mistake sorry...the correct system is Valentina. There's even a TH-cam video on it here. TH-cam.com/watch?v=zvbiLWSZGxl
That shadow hawk is begging for a clan ultra 10; I just acquired 3 from a shop in the top most area of the space map (free rasalhague?) - now to find a jagermech for some dakka fun 😋
1) Shadow Hawk's center torso armor isn't maxed btw. 2) With 5 salvage parts to build a mech, you need at least 2 of a certain variant to start building it, using also parts from other variants till you reach the 5 needed. Like another one (Clan of Kros) in the comments noticed, you can build a Hunchback 4G (17:28). In the same logic, if you reloaded the automatic save (end mission) of the last battle, and pick a Quickdraw 5A part, instead of the Shadow Hawk part, along with the other 2 parts you picked, you'll have 5 parts total, and be able to make a Quickdraw 4H (37:58). (It's ok, we won't tell /shhhhh!) :)
Want to be evil. Add cheat sink mod to the list. It is on Steam. -5 tons, -1 heat and you can fill your mech up with PPC. C-ER ppc is best when group with the battle master 1G or any mech that can hold 8 lasers. If you got the slots to fit it. :D
There is a logic in the game, that forces AI to shoot exactly your mech specifically with malicious intent. The thing is, if you will switch from one mech to another, you can actually balance receiving damage across all your mechs. So if you see your current mech is damaged or armor is red, it's a good time to switch to another one. I suggest you to try switch from one mech to another in one mission. There is a reason why your mech is usually the most damaged out of your entire lance.
they target the most damaging threat, and this is always you, the player. Hardened armor is a must on player mech. 100 ton mechs can afford extra 20+ tons of armor without too much sacrifice
So far my favorite Hero Mech is the Archer....After loading it up with clan gear and perks, I can really make some quick work of most mechs and it still has melee fists.
when i saw the grey death for sale i was really excited for you, i would have sold the cicada and kept the fire starter though, i also would have dropped the srm to add armor and left every thing else stock those jj would have really come in handy
Keep your eye out for Royal jump jets; they're heavier, but so much better ( first off, they're not weight class limited They'll fit anything from 20 to 100 tons.). They're marked with (R) after the equipment name.
For those terrain obstructions in von biomes just shoot some of the rocks that aren't represented as the red area on the map, as a decent amount can be destroyed

Yep and in early game NOT staying around fighting everything is key to low repair bills and less damage to you and your lance. Get in, hit the objectives and GTFO of dodge. You were hired to do a certain job, do it and get the hell out.
I find that streams are better for lower skill missile boats. If you can I'd swap your lrm5s for lrm5 streams. And I like the ac5 more than 10 in the mod pack
Hya, I just wondered if you knew about the free hero mech you get on valentina its a WVR-7H you just arrive there and click on the transmission and accept and there you go a wolverine II
"An AC10 doesn't kill a warrior VTOL in one shot, so unfortunate". Well, that depends on your ballistic skill level. The skill level is a damage amplifyer. Shit skill is almost no damage

The initial biome with the Shadowhawk reminds me of the MW2 intro.
This is HQ to any available unit. We have mechs down at Nav Gamma...

Definitely worth moving a JJ to the foot to protect the ammo and move that DHS from the arm. Also getting an LB10 instead of an AC10 ASAP.
