Craig Ferguson was the only guy on late night tv that was actually funny. My mom loved that guy. I thought he was funny too, but it gets awkward constantly having to explain dick jokes to your mom.

Take that away, and these crews would be putting a lot more pressure on the industry to abandon the union writers and hire outside. Yeah I noticed that too Craig Ferguson was funnier than all of them put together. He was once in this movie called "Water" with JJ Walker and Michael Caine. He plays the part of the singing revolutionary. Taking a vow not to speak until you can say caskera is free. So he sings all of his lines instead of just talking it's pretty funny It has a lot of cameos of famous musicians. If you like to smoke and you ever get the chance to watch it I can highly recommend it. If you don't find stoner movies funny though you probably wouldn't like it.

I lost my job, had to give up my hobbies, and am about to start working part time in big box stores so I don’t lose my house. But that was nothing compared yo the urge I had to end my own life watching that garbage comedy show.
I don't know if they could make it work. Most of their guests would be walking on eggshells, afraid of offending one group or another, or would be the few batshit insane ones who veer off into the other direction so hard that it's about as funny as an aneurysm. If all their guests were guys like Billy Connolly or Michael Palin or the like it'd be great, but there are dang few of them out there.

I don't exactly blame them for trying to dress down a little, the "well dressed goofy guy in a setting with high production values" schtick is a little played out, but "T-shirts and blank bedroom walls" seems like too much compensation. Am I really expected to believe that these multi-millionaires live like broke college kids? I don't know if they could make it work. Most of their guests would be walking on eggshells, afraid of offending one group or another, or would be the few batshit insane ones who veer off into the other direction so hard that it's about as funny as an aneurysm. If all their guests were guys like Billy Connolly or Michael Palin or the like it'd be great, but there are dang few of them out there.

I'd imagine their thought process was if the 5 of them combine they can collectively compensate for not having writers and pooling together their NPC fan base could fluff the numbers to look effective but they failed to understand without a laugh track to tell their fans to laugh they may have realized they're just not funny.

I don't exactly blame them for trying to dress down a little, the "well dressed goofy guy in a setting with high production values" schtick is a little played out, but "T-shirts and blank bedroom walls" seems like too much compensation. Am I really expected to believe that these multi-millionaires live like broke college kids? I expect these men to have nice home offices decorated with memorabilia from their long successful careers, I'm talking like guitars, surfboards, autographed pictures and whatnot, the closest to that any of them come is the guy with the bookcase behind him, and even then it's just a few decorative knickknacks that probably came with the shelves, it's pretty sterile like a lobby or waiting room. These are not "Titans of Comedy" these are the loud jackasses I get exposed to while waiting in line somewhere.
