I like the Rat. Very different never seen it before. Great job on the repair and clean up. No vise shaming from me. Take it easy catch up with ya later.
Great clean up and restoration Alex. I like the work you did with the rivet., Those are some nice pieces for your collection, All is forgiven on the vice. I have a couple that look a little worse than that one. I know you will do a good job on it. Good video Alex.
Thanks, the shed is in turmoil at the moment as I'm having a sort out and putting up extra panels so I can start to display some of my tools. 6x8 feet is a little cramped at times!
@@Dalesworkshop it doesn't help that I've got a motorbike it it too! I got this shed because I ran out of room in the first one, there are 3 motorbikes in that one, maybe I just need to get another shed 😁
Very cool ratchet wrenches! So if the vise is your user, how did it get so rusty? It is not mounted to the workbench, so do you use it outside and accidentally left it out? 🤔🤔🤔
Cheers 👍🏻. The vise was used in my other shed originally then I kept buying motorbikes and ran out of space, I then got a second shed which I've filled with too many tools and another motorbike. The poor vise got abandoned in the first shed and neglected, I'm going to sort it out and get it back in use. I originally bought it in late 80's/early 90's so it's one of my longest serving tools.
@@timeflysintheshop not really, I had to build a small lean-to for push bikes and use that for tool storage too😂. My name is Alex and I have a problem!!!
hey is it possible that "RAT- stands for RATCHET and i notice on the right side it says chete patent sounds french😅. The look great BTW nice restoration. And about the vice restoration, if we can do it you can do it as well 😁💪👍
It could well do, I thought it sounded French too. That vice will get a good sorting out at some point, thinking of a different colour to go with, don't fancy blue or red. Guess I'll sort the rust out first👍🏻

You're a gent, my conscience is getting the better of me so I'll make amends to it very soon😁

Got one of those rats found them in a 1920 book
It's been hung up on the shed wall next to my Bahco adjustable spanners. Hoping to find more info on it.
Go find my film on the 1910 book 👍👍🔩🔩
I'll give it a watch👍🏻
Pretty sure it is save to rule out China as the country of origin. tHanks for the video!
