I took delivery of my polestar on Monday . Big thanks to you for all your videos which definitely influenced my choice, I had a 530e before and not disappointed at all.

Thanks, good to know! I had a 330e before and 535d before that. Loved both cars but personally enjoying the polestar 2 even more than either of those.

Turn Off the dipping mirror feature. It's buggy as hell. Instead double press the L or R (on drivers door) to dip that mirror when you want - you need to be reverse for this to work.

It is buggy, but after it 'fails' returning to regular position I just hold my 'seat remember' button and it goes back.

Agree - parking mirror feature does not always work and in my experience gets stuck in down position. the car is going in to service to sort this issue, they are also going to look at very low milage return and the radar problems for speed sign recognition which is very inconsistent.

Reduced guard is used if you leave children or dog in car. It deactivates the internal motion sensors and movement sensors, just leaves the door alarms on. Most of the settings are the same as the Volvo Sensus system and the operation is the same. Just using Google software instead. The new XC 40 Recharge uses The new Google system, wonder if the same problems exist on that

Resumés Guard is also very good if you go by ferry and have to leave your cat or dog in the car while the ferry goes, the alarm does not ring at high waves.
It is also good if you do not have animals in your car, other cars may have and you do not have to scare them.
Always use the function on a ferry.

Well, I've ordered my Polestar on the strength of your videos, even though I've still not been able to get a test drive. Tried the Tesla 3 and was impressed, but your 'real world' reviews have swayed me, so you'd better apply for your commission 😬

Reduced Guard is for motion detection for when you are being transported on a flatbed.

Does the auto-lower mirror function only work when you are next to a kurb? Thinking about it, when I had my test-drive in Farnborough, it worked when I was reversing in the warehouse. No kurbs.

As soon as you go in reverse, hence why don't use it, and prefer to dip as necessary.

Hello great video. I just want to ask your olio est opinion. I have an ID3 on a PCP. Would you recommend getting a Polestar on a 3 year lease? Do you think that is a great thing to do in your opinion and experience using the polestar

Hi! Please can you or any Polestar drivers out there tell me how you turn the radio on without having to command Google to do it. I can select stations, scroll the volume up and down but there’s no sound. If I ask Google to select a radio station (hit and miss) it works and from there I can select other stations but surely I shouldn’t need to send a voice command to get the radio working….Edit - now working normally! Gremlins?

@ShortCircuit Bradley, a couple of simple, maybe daft, questions... (1) Are you able to connect your Android mobile to the system and play music that you have loaded on it (i.e. not streaming), or is music ONLY available via the Spotify/TH-cam apps? (2) Is it possible to download the Amazon Music app from the app store (useful if you already have an Amazon Music unlimited account like I do)? Keep up the great videos :)

There is no Amazon support in Polestar 2

OPD OFF does give me around 2.5kWh/100mi consumption on A roads and Motorways. Around town it makes almost zero difference what mode you use for range, assuming you don't drive like a nutter.

17:30 this seems like such a version 1 software implementation. Why not have on-screen help. Are you serious that you had to open a paper based manual to look to find out what an on-screen function does? Sorry but that is pathetic.
