There is nothing can compare the joyfulness to buy the very first car in our life. Once you drive long enough you will produce a sense of emotion to the car and you will miss her when you sell her in the future.
HRV is one of the best new car picks you can make. Great reliable engine, good size & price! Just keep up with your oil changes!
How about the Corolla Cross? Comes in hybrid also and has rear ac vents.

@@Flying-Fox-of-Snowy-Mountain I don't have any experience with the Hybrid but the standard one is pretty good. The 2.0L is a solid engine.
@@Flying-Fox-of-Snowy-Mountain Yes, that as well... it's a Toyota. Honda and Toyota are the best options basically in every segment they sell cars.
@@Flying-Fox-of-Snowy-Mountain should be just as reliable. I think my biggest issue with the corolla cross is that after you sit in the HRV, it feels like a generation older. the HRV feels much nicer than its price would suggest, whereas the Corolla cross feels...as much as it is.
Honda is the car company I like the most.

I can share some that helped me
1. Plan towards it
2. Be Frugal and minimal on spending ( don't buy why you don't need)
3. Build an emergency fund
4. Save to invest, this is most important because it's a proven way to get richer very important to financial success

the most interesting thing, is that in USA, a young girl can buy a car which in my country it costs 120x the minimum monthly salary.

@@lynx4600 @lynx4600 I'm from Brazil my friend. (we have a lot of rich people here, but the "normal" medium class, can't afford a "simple" car like that here)
A Honda HR-V in Brazil is only for High Managers - Corporate employees which are basically less than 5% of the population. For example today in 2023 (Minimum Salary range by our government is BRL 1,200.00 Monthly (a Honda HR-V costs BRL 150,000.00 or higher. A Finance Manager in Brazil gets around BRL 20,000.00 Monthly. (it means that in Brazil, a Manager could get one car like that in about 7 or 8 months of work.
In USA, the same car costs USD$ 25,000.00. (average Manager salary is around USD$ 14,000.00 monthly, in medium companies. which means that, to buy the same car, in 2 months it's possible.
if we compare the minimum salary range in each country:
USA: USD$ 1,280.00 (monthly average) Car Cost USD$ 25,000.00 (19 months to buy)
Brazil: BRL$ 1,200,00 (monthly average) Car Cost BRL$ 150,000.00 (125 months to buy it)

I live in the US and i can only hope to afford a car such as this. I dont even make enough to live so even buying a used car is a struggle

I am currently driving a 2017 HRV, purchased new in early 2018, w/ 140k+ miles on it. I drive in all sorts of different road conditions, almost entirely at night (night shift hospice nurse). I highly recommend this car. Maintain it and it will last forever

Nice to know. In March I got a 2019 HRV EX-L with just 7,000 miles on it. Love it so far. But i must be doing the heater controls wrong, as It never gets warm enough for me here in Massachusetts. (I deliver meds for pharmacy to Hospice folks, but not in my car, ) tc, Bill

It's only marked till 140 miles per hour which is like a bit weird ? Does it really affect your driving like if you wanna cruise on the top speeds ?

I love this car I just got a 2024 hrv yesterday and it love everything about it!! It rides so smooth and I love all the features it comes with I got the color forest green it looks like a mix of green gray and blue it’s so beautiful

Congrats, Charlotte! My very first car in the mid-2K was a white Honda (2nd hand, late 90s Civic), I named her Amanda. She remains special in my heart because it was my parents' graduation gift. As an aside, my late Dad's 2002 Accord is still doing well at present. Happy and safe travels. :)

Congrats! I have the same model you do, just in FWD. Its a fantastic vehicle that is so fun to drive, even if it isn't the fastest thing in the world. Also insanely reliable. Keep up with maintenance and it'll easily go past 300k

I bought a brand new 2023 Honda Civic Touring sedan in January. I’d been driving my ‘02 Honda Civic LX for 18 years, so it was waaaay past time for an upgrade. The car is gorgeous! The exterior is a meteorite metallic gray with a two-tone black/gray interior. Honda calls the seats gray, but they look ivory to me! I absolutely did NOT want black seats since I live in South Florida where it’s pretty hot most of the time.
Honda has gone back to their design roots. The exterior is polished and understated while the interior is almost semi-luxury. My steering wheel is exactly like yours and the dash is almost identical to yours.
It’s a beautiful car and I’m super happy with it. Safety and reliability (along with longevity) are most important to me. Hondas are great cars, very safe and reliable. I had a great experience with my first Honda which is why I bought another. Have fun with your new car!

Cute Honda HR-V and I really like the smaller SUV too. I've seen the Hyundai Kona and VENUE that I'm in love with and I wanna get either one of them for my next car but I'm still looking around for other vehicles.
If you want to preserve the paint and minimize scratched and swirls, try to avoid automatic carwashes. Check out a few two bucket method washes.

I have a 2023 Honda HR-V too and I love it! It’s spacious but also not too big! Probably one of my favorite cars I’ve ever owned.

very good choice of car and congratulations on your achievement. This HR-V arrived here in Brazil as the ZR-V, because we already have two other HR-V models. But it came to Brazil in a way that was a bit ''bare in terms of finish and technology''.

I’m a fan of cloth seats for that exact reason you explained. The weather here in VA is so unpredictable
Sounds stupid but cloth seats are easy to clean and if they get too dirty you can just use a seat cover. Leather is extremely high maintenance and always clacks and leaves holes in the seat.

Congrats on your new car! and you made a good choice, the HRV is a good car from Honda, and is better from a Civic, Size, and it has AWD, My parents own a 2023 CRV, which is pretty much a bigger SUV, the HRV was a good choice you made and should last you a long time!
