I just got diagnosed with HSV two and they said this first outbreak was the worst. It was the most dark and painful experience I’ve ever had in my life. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone the person who had it, give it to me on purpose, knowing that I had it and now it’s here for life please tell me does it get any better? Will I be able to have kids?

I have a question one of my friends has herpes. There was no sexual contact, no kissing whatsoever. However, I did touch his hand and I didn’t wash my hand because I didn’t realize I touched his hand and now I’m overthinking it. Within the span of about an hour to two hours. I ended up touching various parts of my body and now I’m kind of overthinking it. I’m a hypochondriac.

Unless he has herpes on his hands, it would be hard to come in contact with herpes in that case.

How would you know someone has it on their mouth?
Usually the virus stays dormant and exceptionnally breaks out when people are very very tired or have a low immune system

Okay I'm tracking what you're saying. I like to know more. Is there a certain source/website you recommend. I already know the basics. I do not believe the FDA will allow for a "cure", or a way to keep it permanently dormant.
How did u get it
Ok I recently was diagnosed with HSV 2 a few months ago, had my first bad outbreak so don't know if I recently got it from my new gf or had ot all along, she was positive too via PCR urine test. I bought the supplement kit from Hemka, skeptical but followed their protocol and took the whole kit. I just was tested PCR blood test and showed negative for HSV 1 and 2. What are the chances of false negative PCR should show it since its a DNA test or could it be false negative since HSV lives in the nerves?
PCR test should be accurate. We have heard of people going negative. When your body is capable in holding the herpes virus dormant, the antibodies can go negative. Sometimes we would hear from people who went on very rigid diets and were able to test negative.
Also, another thing to notice is, antibodies take a while to develop. So, if you just recently tested positive on a swab, by now, your body might not even be able to develop the antibodies yet.
@lifewithherpes I am confused i was told by Dr that a blood PCR test will tell you if the hsv is present at all, you are saying I can still have hsv but still test negative with a blood pcr test?

You can test yourself for vitamins deficiency. In general, vitamins like Vit d, c, zinc, B vitamins can help.
If on lips, you can use alcohol on cotton several times a day on lips. Agter healing, first you feel something on lips, immediatly do same, as it will never out break again.

Lets do the work of god and study, donate, spread awareness and help organizations in the creation of a cure for the herpes virus. I really believe its possible in a few years. Its just that america does NOT know where to allocate their tax dollars.

It is accurate, yes. However, antibodies will only appear in your blood after a while. It could take months for them to appear, after you've been exposed

What symptoms then? Yes, herpes can appear in many different forms. No need to have actual sores or bumps. But, we don't know what exactly is happening, so it could also be something else you're experiencing.
the symptoms I'm having are burning sensations in the area plus my whole body just out of nowhere stomach pain then body aches and itchiness I thought at first it was hiv got tested 6 times plus hsv 1 and 2 and other std just to rule it out and all of them came back negative but I tested positive for vatiman d deficiency and a UTI so I'm thinking those could be the cause but idk
I had a positive COVID test AND some blisters. Dont know what the blisters are (could even be chickenpox since I had it in in childhood) and Ill take blisters over COVID any day
Dear entitled lady. I come from a small country outside of the US and I learned a lot of things growing up especially for my grandmother who delivered me. If you have one type, it offers some protection against the other, but at the end, you can still get both.
