Very clear easy to understand video on this subject. I've heard so much about Model T timers at club meetings from guys that like to hear themselves talk. But never understood them. At least now I know how to time one correctly.
Great video! Be aware that the locating pin hole on some later camshafts is drilled all the way through, so it is possible to install the timer roller 180 degrees off from its proper setting.
Thanks for posting a new video. I have two model a's and I always enjoy watching your videos. My wife also enjoys viewing your videos. I am intrigued by the model T. What a GREAT CAR!
It is good practice to turn the two front oil pan bolts over so that their heads point up towards the timer. This increases the clearance between the bolts and the timer terminals and reduces the chance that one of the terminals will ground out on a bolt as the timer is moved by the timing lever.
A quick question from a dummy. If I am replacing a roller timer with an identical unit, do I have to retime the engine. The new commutator and roller are identical to the one I am replacing. Great videos. Many thanks!

Clearly, if automotive wiring is not your preference, Model T is your best friend. Thanks for making this as simple and clear as possible Charlie!👀
I'm happy again now that you've posted a new video. It's a pleasure to watch, and to learn from you.
You are very knowledgeable and provided a good presentation. What more could I ask for?

Thank you! Have a 30 Model A but really had little knowledge of the T. Really clear , concise videos. Great work!
Thanks, another great video! I really look forward to you posting.
Thanks for the video.
I enjoy all your content and look forward to new releases.
That was very interesting. I love the simplicity. I'm a model a guy but I really dig the T.
This is the first time I've seen a vid on this system. Learned much. Thank you
Very informative thank you

I really appreciate. And enjoyed this video! Thanks again!
Great video. Love the vintage music.
amazing for that time
Excellent video.

That would help. also, the bolts on this engine are way too long which gives it even less clearance.
Good job on the timing.
Well done!
Like your choice of music.
Muy bueno
Another great T video. Thanks. When are you going to do something about that poorly-fitting "hood"?
I really enjoy your channel. So I subscribed again with this new TH-cam account of mine ;-)

If you're replacing it with the exact same type, then no, you don't have to.
Hello, you can definitely help me
I would like to have the carburettor adjusted if possible?
The only adjustment they really have is the needle on the top. You turn it lean until it doesn't want to run, then back it off till it does run.
Is solid wire a good choice.
either type should work.
What gauge wire did you use ?
14
@@onewhocollects6781 thanks !
Curious other than bad isolating washers on the cup , why would there be continuity between all terminals ?
That was, Awesome,good job
