      +NameIst Unbekannt the M3 E46 is an amazing car to drive, I have an 05 myself, however maintenance is a bit of a pain, Also whenever i have something loaded in the trunk and i hear it rolling/banging around my first thought is "please don't let that be the subframe" For the price its a great project car.

    Here in the States. Specifically New York. I have seen most of these cars for sale for half the price examples you gave, and in very good condition.
    Funny history. When the S2000 was introduced over here it was priced close the Corvette. It also a timelessly handsome piece. Any way...
    Initially the S2000 seem to attracted a lot of Corvette owners. As a result there were a lot of S2000 on Pre-owned lots with in months a trend that was seen for at least two years. The common reason was that the car did not have the power they were used to. Particularly down low in normal driving situations.
    Putting a lot of them on the used car line shortly after they were purchased new also put their price with in reach of a lot of people that normally wouldn't consider something in their new price range. Which ended up being a good thing, because it earned a lot respect from a mostly younger set.
    The 996 is interestingly priced from 9000 U.S. to 39000 in different condition from what I have seen. Now a older car but still a Porsche. So it can run rings just about every other car on this list and still make viable daily ride.

    • @bonamin
      @bonamin 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      dodoz44 Electric vehicles vs Gasoline vehicles is like Auto Transmission vs Manual. Or ESP ON vs ESP OFF. Or 4WD vs RWD.
      Sure Electronics are making you go faster, and aiding your every move, providing more grip, and changing your gears faster. But REAL drivers, drive a Stick so they can bang that next gear in. Real drivers turn electronics off so they can actually feel the road. Real drivers dream of a proper LSD RWD car that is tail happy, and Real Drivers don't care if the Tesla has 5000Nm of Torque available all the time. They are more happy with the 4 meter flames of a 2JZ engine.
      Believe me. Power is not everything. Everything ELSE is more important ! ( To a Real Driver )

      @dodoz44 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      bonamin Honda
      Shit, I guess I'll de-bolt the supercharger on my manual, rwd, lsd, tail happy, flame-shooting z51 vette in which i turn off the T/C the very first thing after starting the car. Yes, it is fun, but what's also fun is the simplicity of electric cars. Nothing but pressing the acceleration pedal (not exactly gas pedal anymore) and you're pulling insane G's in silence. I guess I'm not a real driver for liking all kinds of cars and technology advancements. Or am I just getting old?

    • @bonamin
      @bonamin 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      dodoz44 I have driven EVs and Hybrids, and while strange and relaxing, I wouldn't say they are fun.
      I really find hardly any fun in Gs. Yes ofcourse there is some fun there too, but no sound? no feel ? No thanks.

    As someone who has been on the lookout for an NSX for a while, their prices have significantly gone up, especially in the last couple of years. I remember seeing an NA1 92 coupe for $16k almost 8 years ago, I was 16 back then and couldn't afford to buy it. That was the last time I had ever come across a cheap NSX.

    I've been wanting an NSX ever since I saw one as a child, 14 years ago. I was 8 at the time and understood little about cars, but the shape of the body and the sound made me fall in love with it.
    Even today, seeing one still sends chills up my spine. Without a doubt, my number 1 dream car.

  • @alexchulzhanov

    NSX at rock bottom price? Please, that thing is more expensive than the Ferrari it was competing with.

    • @VisioRacer
      @VisioRacer  8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Okay, it may not be at rock bottom price already, but the fact it is more expensive than a Ferrari it was competing with doesn't mean it is not cheap according to the circumstances around a car, namely the NSX. I'd say the Ferrari is less rare than the NSX and thus makes sense it is more expensive. I'd rather go for the NSX.

    As weird as this may seem i think the NA Miata will become more expensive, it's a very desirable car, it's light, small, rapid, good looking and: pop-up headlights...
    next to that: AE86 Levin, Stagea, R31 Skyline, e92 M3 GTS, e46 M3 GT-R/CSL, 997 Porsche, and probably a few American cars such as the Super Bee and Super Snake...

      In the case of the GTA, twice the value is a bit harsh. In the course of almost 10 years, due to the previous owner's bs, I have rebuilt the front suspension, the beautiful Busso V6, the exhaust, the clutch and the Brembo brakes (calipers and pads) for less then 7500EUR. Split over 10 years, thats 750 EUR/year. Not that bad, if you ask me.

    The ITR has wrong price info at least for the US. That car has always been highly coveted and it would be rare for you to find one at 8k.
    Here are some additions.
    1. BMW 128i & 135i I doubt these cars will ever be cheaper than they are currently.
    2, 350z, you could get one for around 3-5k, that needs work, but they will begin to rise a little in price. (not "car collectible" but something attainable)
    3. Mustang Mach 1/ Bullitt an the early 2000s Cobra
    4. VW R32
    5.

      +Juan A. Tena
      5. Lexus IS300/GS300/GS350 maybe not so much the cars themselves but the 2jz motor in them is freaking awesome.
      6. Lotus Elise you will not get any cheaper than they are now. too bad I'm just too dam tall for one.

    Out of all of these the M Coupe is #1 with the M3 #2 and then the Type R #3. Don't much care for the rest. That M Coupe is just awesome. I absolutely love the way that thing looks. The first time I saw one driving down the street it stopped me dead in my tracks. I was floored!

I gotta tell you this: If you ever come to EU and find one, just give it a shot and put it to the test. You'll realize that with no special knowledge on it, it drives somehow exactly like a rwd cars when you want to. It was really a great car. Apart from the glorious engine.

    Hey, you forgot the Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4/Dodge Stealth R/T Twin Turbo. Though they're already starting to climb into the 7,000~10,000 USD range (And VERY fast, at that.), you can sometimes find some rough around the edges or modified clean title ones for around 5,000, especially right now. Another one you missed was the 3rd gen Toyota MR2 Spyder. Those things are starting to get extremely rare, with only 27,000 made worldwide with only half of those being manual. You can find them right now with clean titles for about 5,000 USD and they're almost guaranteed to raise in value.
    I own one of both. :)

    Two years after this video debuted, I'm just now seeing it and I have a few cheap classics to add from North America.
    C5 Chevrolet Corvette - These Vettes are still a bit crude, but a marked improvement over their predecessor. They are quick, surprisingly reliable and can be had for less than US $10k.
    NB Mazda MX-5 Miata - The originals are now starting to climb, so the NB is the cheapest Miata out there. The are fun to drive and you can't kill them. My daily driver is a 2001 NB.
    Pontiac GTO - These Australian-sourced coupes are starting to gain value and won't act as cop bait as a similar year Mustang. V8, rear drive, manual tranny available. But act soon.
    Ford Mustang - Pretty much any V8 Mustang will be a classic someday, and from 2005 onward they look the part too.
    Dodge Challenger - The same comments from the Mustang apply here. Vintage looks and powerful V8s plus Fiat-Chrysler depreciation that drops through the floor. The Charger could be included here too, as it shares the same platform and engines as the Challenger, but most people would rather have a two door muscle car.
    Chrysler 300 - It shares a platform with the Charger/Challenger siblings but is a bit more luxury oriented. Still has the V8 option though and the old ones look pretty much like the new ones.
    Subaru WRX - They've been out for a while now and an early North American market version isn't that pricey for the performance it delivers. They're also easier to fix than a Lancer Evo because these cars are still being made and Subaru is healthy in North America. I'd want a Legacy 2.5 GT with a manual as I think it's a classic, but the WRX will be a future classic for sure.
    Just a few of my pics.

    The BMW E60 M5 is soon to be on that list. Maybe within about 5 years or so, and especially the 6-speed manual ones, which less than 1,000 of exist, most likely around 500-900. 5.0L V10 with 500 hp through a seamless 6-speed manual? That thing will be crazy sought after in the future. Even more than it is now.

These are rare in the uk; I've only ever seen one on the road in the 4 years of ownership. Give it a few years and no doubt the prices will rise. A few years Before the gta, I had a mint cherry red 205 gti 1.9 I sold for £1250 in 2006. A mint one now would set you back £5k +. Really regret selling it. You forgot to mention Peugeot 205 GTi. It is "car of its era" after all. The car has 1.9 littre 130 hp engine and you know it, cuz you mentioned it in your "best sounding 4-cylinder engines". An even bigger classic are the 205 MI16 and 205 T16. The MI 16 is 2.0 litter 160 hp unit, and the T16 is 1.8 turbo with 200 hp. On the T16 the whole body is different, it is mid-engined and has AWD. This car weights between 790-900 ish kilos(the 790 is the 205 rally which has a 1.3 litter dual-carburtor engine, producing 105 hp). The heaviest are the diesel models of the car. My father gave me his 205 as a present when i got my driving licence, but our 205 is alittle bit different. It has a 1.6 MPI engine from a Peugeot 306, producing 90 hp. The car is running on LPG and is an absolute monster. On the highway going up to 180 km/h is no problem for the small rocket. An year ago we got a 205 GTI automatic in a very good condition for less than 700 euro. The only problem for me personaly is the gearbox, as the acceleration is not what you would expect from a 122 hp small hatchback but.. its good for the city. Lots of traffic congestions so the automatic is perfect, although a dont have a problem as mine is manual :D

      1400IntruderVS I don't know about the 4C... I don't know why, but to me, it looks like the wheel positioning doesn't completely fit the body. I mean -- it meets the price requirements, has excellent power, weight distribution and ratio on point, the coupe was fairly rare, as in not as many produced, looks are great for that generation of car builders, it's a proper car (rwd), the 0 - 60 is pretty decent, and should do nothing but gain value to car dudes further down the road. Just my opinion...but I think it's a worthy contender.

      +VisioRacer I personally find too many of these videos are made by people who love the sound of their own voices too much - fair play to you for leaving us the sound of the engines and just keeping the facts to a minimum. :)

    My best bet for a car that will increase in value is the 2013-14 Shelby gt500. It was the only two model years that it was made with the 662 hp engine and the production numbers were relatively low.

    the e39 m5 could have been another great contender. a good moderately used 2003 model goes for around 15000usd in my area, and they're very good cars. many bmw enthusiasts can say this is one of the best cars bmw ever made. and they're starting to appreciate again.

    "Some even say it does handle better than the triplets GT86/BRZ/FR-S"
    That's because it has a Honda badge, anything with that badge has followers claiming it's the best thing ever. The BIG difference between a S2000 and the BRZ is that the BRZ is priced reasonably from the start, the S2000 has always cost about $10,000 more than it should(new)

    Looking at the market now the Ford RS's will go up. They already have risen high for example the cosworth range and the RS turbos but they definately won't stop climbing. If you can buy yourselves and RS turbo or fiesta RS turbo if you got the money, should definately go up tbh.

    Was the BMW E36 M3 on the list? If not it should be. It's a rock solid sports car with understated looks and less were produced of them than the E46 I believe, making them more rare. Definitely a must buy. I own one and love it. (99 m3 convertible manual)
