@@skygazer6898This looks like fairly nice condos/apartments just from the outdoor/hallway/unit appearance... Dude is not living in a 1920s apartment with paper-thin walls and floors. And did you hear his kid stomping around with SHOES ON at the beginning of the vid?
I believe fully that he has taken some if not all of the measures he stated, that he was not escalating the situation purposefully, and that the arbitrators were unfairly siding with the landlords. But he's still letting his kid stomp around in fkn clogs (/hyp) and wouldn't take the extremely reasonable "move to first floor" offer bc of potential robberies... yet he made no attempt to state whether or not the area is statistically prone to this (or maybe the edited it out). Either way he's clearly not doing something right.

I feel your pain, girl. I just had a family move in right next to me. They clearly neglect their kids as they run wild all through the night, constantly crying and screaming because I doubt they get proper nutrition plus no routine. They are also home all day everyday. I went downstairs to see if the person living below them was also putting in complaints, it sounded like a god damned war zone down there!! It was unbelievable. Nobody was home, gee I wonder why. They're trash.

Sara yeah it is absolutely awful! I am on the ground floor, myself and my own children, which I am able to control their noise level because I am one of the only respectful people living in this building I guarantee it! The people above me just moved in this week, and my kids and I have been struggling to sleep and keep our own sanity, and I have already sent in multiple complaints to the landlord. This building is nowhere close to properly insulated, and I Actually asked the property management company if I could put a request in for someone who doesn’t have a bunch of kids, maybe an older couple or something like that to move above due to the building being Improperly insulated and nearly 100 years old. And what did they do? They sent in this family from one of their other buildings, they’re home all day, the kids run wild all day, and they barely speak English so when I went to the door to ask them to quiet down when my kids were trying to sleep on a school night, It was after 11 PM,she barely even knew what I was saying, and her toddler was still running around stomping around and jumping off of the bed onto the floor! I was so mad, and the landlords have not been responding to any of my requests for them to get back with me and they did not return my phone call! One of the other neighbor said that there was a Covid outbreak in the other building, and this particular family above me were sent over here even after being tested positive for Covid. They supposedly had a Test clearing them of Covid, but I see this as negligence on the part of the landlords. So not only did they send potential Covid to our building, they sent some very disruptive neighbors as well. I am so stressed out living here now, it was so peaceful before, and now I literally dread trying to get myself and my kids to sleep every night here:(

@@Kelseysophia I am so sorry to hear that. They seem to have different ideas about bedtime and routines plus what is considered unreasonable noise. I can't believe they were allowed to move in after they tested positive for Covid!!! Your landlords sound awful!! Perhaps calling CPS or the police might be your only options at this point (record what you can). I have been documenting all of the noise happening from next door. It's frustrating because on paper it makes me sound like the grumpy lady next door. I can't record it because my phone is a POS lol but once I get a new phone I'll certainly be recording the outrageous nonsense occurring next door. Also I am planning on speaking with all of my neighbors because I believe that if I can garner enough complaints she will either shut up or get herself evicted. Children can be noisy, fine. But there is a point where it is NOT acceptable. I really hope that your landlord gets back to you at some point, total idiots placing that obnoxious family above your head like that, that really pisses me off.

I’m in an above floor apartment because it’s the only place I could find for my 3 year old and i, and we needed a place to go asap. Truly thank god for the fact that I have a couple of family members who come as much as they can throughout the week to take my child out for the day while I work, so that way there are huge chunks of time where no one’s home. Because, whenever my child is home, he is very energetic. Regardless of if he gets his energy out for hours outside, he always has energy. Ever since we moved in, my only issue in life has been the stress of trying to “keep my kid quiet” in his house. It’s a hard battle when I don’t want to physically restrain my child, when he’s just a naturally energetic child. If I don’t restrain him, he won’t stop running. I have truly tried everything to get him to understand that he can’t run in the house, but he is just too young to understand / stop doing it. He is just 3. He doesn’t understand there are other people living below him, he never sees them, and his brain isn’t at the stage of development where he can understand certain concepts, the same as you and I. You saying “if you have your own house let your kids go wild” is not how it is. How you need to word that is “if you have your own house let your kids grow healthily and normal” .. my child doesn’t run when he’s going wild, that’s just the phase of life he is in. He just learned how to walk only 1-2 years ago. He’s extremely happy and healthy and curious. A 3 year old cannot understand all concepts of what you try to teach him. Some 3 year olds might be able to but that doesn’t mean every single child out there can too. Some can’t. And this isn’t just about running, it’s about the noise in general. Because little kids just make noise.
If somebody doesnt want noise coming from above them for a child acting their age in an apartment made for anyone, then THAT person should buy their own house and stop getting upset with a child in a natural and healthy phase of their life. And not get mad at the parent either because most parents try. Even with this all being my opinion, I still everyday try hard in teaching him. Because he will eventually be able to understand it better, and he will eventually grow out of it. But again I still try. But just because my child can’t fully just stop, and still causes noise, that doesn’t mean I’m not being considerate. Your statement that your upstairs neighbors make your walls shake, that is because of how your building is built. The physical shaking of your walls from a small child just living their life, is your building and your landlords issue. Not the mother of the child. Making loud sounds whether it’s dropping stuff, trying out new things. A lot of 3 years olds are just loud. And it isn’t possible to correct the behavior because 1, it’s healthy normal behavior and 2, even if you did try, they will not be able to just stop. You would have to physically restrain your child, which quite frankly, is illegal. My question to you is, what should people like your upstairs neighbor, people like me, do when the only place we could find for ourselves and our children who we are responsible for the mental and physical wellbeing of, do? What do you suppose we do? Be homeless with our babies? Because of a downstairs neighbor, who is renting a downstairs apartment, doesn’t want the sound from a child being a child? Why wouldn’t you then recommend the downstairs neighbor moves, if the downstairs neighbor are the one with the problem? Quite honestly, it should be illegal for someone to ever be evicted over that, and I think it might be in some places. Not saying you were going as far to say evict, but saying “please be considerate for your neighbors” is just a horrible statement to make about a parent with their young child that they are just trying to love and care for, and again should have a legal right to do so, and any bottom floor person who wants to make a complaint about it, should get the two options to either move out or sit down.

@@hannahrosexoxLotta words to say the same thing over and over. I understand needing a place to go and having no option, thus having to live above others even with noisy kids. And I agree that at 3 yrs old they're not thinking about neighbors or quietness, and that they just learned to walk. But to suggest that others should move out because your kid is obnoxiously loud is clownish. The onus is on the tenants making the disturbance to figure out a solution, not the others being disturbed. Consider a dog that barks at passing cars at 1 AM. Would I fault the dog for that? Not at all, it's a fucking dog. But is it still obnoxious and loud and disturbing? Oh abso-fucking-lutely, and you best believe I'm complaining about it. I don't necessarily think eviction is the right solution, but saying that all your neighbors need to fuck off because you brought a noisy ass kid into the apartment is just ridiculous 🤣 How about leaving a note for ur neighbors that says "hey I'm so sorry abt the noise, here's the situation, we're looking for someplace better but please bear with us for now" and asking ur landlord to keep u posted on ground level units?

      Do it. It works.

Take a baseball bat, stick the upper side on the ceiling, and with a hammer knock gently the bat, as if it was a big nail. It won't make a hole in the ceiling and the noise will reverberate everywhere on their floor. Every 10 minutes, when they try to fall asleep. They won't be able to.

I just moved into a 2bd ground floor apt and was afraid the people upstairs would be noisy. Well, they're not noisy at all (and they have kids) , BUT the neighbors next to me are! 3 kids, running, stomping, banging, pounding all day until 12/1am. I can only use 1bd because the one next to their apartment is not habitable due to the noise. I feel so bad for my kid who was so excited to have her own room and she's not even using it! I put in my first complaint the first week of living here, have sent several emails and noise level is still unbearable. Either the landlords haven't done anything or the tenants don't care. At this point I'm ready to move because I feel like I'm throwing my money away. Just because you have children doesn't make it okay to disregard your neighbors. If you want to let your kids make all the noise in the world then rent/buy a house.

Update: I spoke with the property management, they said to continue sending complaints to them and not say anything to the neighbors to avoid problems with them - all complaints should go through property management and any disturbances at night, the police should be notified and to obtain police report and forward to property management. Another neighbor has complained as well. It looks like the property management has handled it because the noise level although not completely gone, has diminished a good amount - at least to where it's quiet from 9/10pm to 10am.

      It comes down to parenting.
Many parents today don't teach their kids to think about neighbors
I raised 2 children on my own and always told them to quiet down when outside or we'd have to go in.
I taught them that our neighbors don't want to listen to kids screaming at the top of their lungs.
My kids still had a lot of fun as children without all the uncontrolled screaming.
So those who use the "it's just kids being kids" is a load of horseshit and an easy out.

This is how it is. I'm in a townhome that shares 3 walls. I hear banging all day from the one behind me. It's so bad. 14 hours a day. I talked to them but they said "that's just what kids do"
But literally both my other neighbors have kids and I only hear their kids HERE AND THERE.
So the claim that's what kids do is not true. Kids have a habit of doing it, but that's not what they do once disciplined

If I win the lottery, I would consider purchasing appartments that children and pets are not permitted. Or if I owned a hotel the top floor would be adults only. Im afflicted with severe PTSD and being woken up to kids sprinting continuously for months at 6am. I had a female officer show up when I woke to world star music subwoofer at 7am one morning had the nerve to say "If I go knock they will likely retaliate when we leave and turn it up louder. My girlfriend and I are going through this with an absolutely noisy upstairs neighbor. They have a 3 year old that constantly runs back and forth, skips, jumps and screams for hours. If it's the weekend he's going from 7am-9pm, during the week it's for 3 or 4 hours in the evening. I can't come home from a 12 hour workday and enjoy dinner because the kid is nonstop. My girlfriend and I can't sit on the couch and enjoy a movie because our apartment is literally shaking. The kids antics makes my dog shake in fear. My girlfriend became friends with the woman a couple months ago and they exchanged phone numbers. She gave my girlfriend the sob story of how they had to move because of their upstairs neighbor(s) and the noise, she told my girlfriend if the noise ever becomes too much just let her know. That statement opened the door, my girlfriend text her explaining the apartment was shaking and our infant was just put down to sleep. She offered the woman to come down so she can hear and feel what we are dealing. The woman became the victim telling my girlfriend she's delirious, blamed us for harassing her because I banged on the wall. Telling us to move seeing how we don't appreciate the noise. We sent a formal complaint to the management office with basically a response of, you're shit out of luck because they can make as much noise as they want within a certain set of hours.

I have gotten no full sleep since I moved here. I have to work.. than she puts a letter on my door explaining he's Austin and why he makes so much noise and why he needs the trampoline.

Im having the same situation if not worse. My neighbour has 4 children in a small apartment. They barely go outside to play. From the morning til evening they are screaming, playing, crying, fighting, throwing things on the floor and the wall. The landlord is protecting them saying that they are children with special needs (ADHD) and that I should accept that these children make some noise. Sometimes the children open the door to the apartment and just scream out loud in the staircase and the parents don´t even bother to get them inside and tell them to stop. That could for 5 minutes sometimes and not to tell your children to stop as a parent is just strange according to me. The problem is that my blood pressure has gone up since they moved in, I wake up too early because of his children, I can´t even read books when I´m home because of the noise they are making. Seems as if I have to buy a house to be able to live in normal conditions.

My upstairs neighbor doesn't take her kid to school the park beach or even a swim in the pool to give me a damn break. Come back from work and want to relax? They are a family with 2 children, a 3 year old boy and a 7 year old girl. Ever since, when I can find peace at home is only when they sleep or they are out. Especially the little boy is always running, jumping, banging, pounding, hitting, throwing, rolling, yelling, crying, screaming, and stomping. The two adults are always stomping like giants as well. They always say they are doing their best tiptoeing. They insisted they put mats and carpets. But their behavior has never changed and the noise has always been the same, just a little lower but still loud and heavy. What they say is different from what they behave. I am sick and tired of hearing their noise. Eventually I will submit a complaint to the city as the strata haven't helped me much despite my several complaints.

As the father is defending, that the boy is just walking around the apartment. The camera takes a shot of three pairs of soft sole sneakers in a pile. Then cuts to the kid, full out straight leg goose stepping, in hard sole dress shoes, all over the place. Then pans back to the father “I just don’t understand, it’s unreasonable and unfair, we’ve tried everything”
His attempt to use a news station to gain sympathy to show is boy is doing nothing but just walking around. Really backfired on him. All this did was, demonstrate why eviction is justifiable.

Depending on the severity level, of they type of narcissistic (possibly even, sociopathic) individual they are……this type of “parenting” and environment children are being raised in……..(even if they’re truly not, out right verbally/physically abusive)……their kids go off into society one day as an adult, and it’s NO FAIR……cause they’re now out around others their age….whom, did have decent parents, and now….the shitty ass parents, their (now adult)….child (child, walking around in an adult suit) is inevitably, society’s responsibility….as they carry on each year, leaving a trail of devastation everywhere they go…..

You do NO WRONG!”…….”You will win at EVERYTHING IN LIFE!” “Better than every other child in this world”…etc….(seemingly, healthy…logic to parent with…seems, loving and healthy)…but oh, fuck no, in fact, this type, often results with the MOST INTOLERABLE TYPES OF ADULTS, we have to interact with, time to time, ourselves…..
These are the types of individuals that, emotionally/mentally/even physically…CANNOT BARE, and WILL NOT EVER…stand, for being told “no”…..they will not and refuse to consider…respecting others decisions or boundaries, they will actually IMPLODE, the first scenario to come along, where they’re not the center of attention, or someone else, just so happens to excel….times 100, more at whatever it is they believe, they’ve mastered over everyone else…
This type of individual, I suppose I could wrap up in a much shorter summary….will more than likely,
Succeed in ONE THING FOR ABSOLUTE SURE (better than most other kids they’re around, and later in life, most adults they find themselves around)……. Successfully, knitting…shaping, molding, the most precise, textbook-overt/covert…NPD mask… meeting all criteria needed, for a legitimate NPD diagnosis..(at worse, w/comorbidities of sociopathy)…….and if not THAT FAR ON THE NPD SPECTRUM, they at least end up, with one too many, NPD tendencies, enough to make everyone that mistakenly crosses their path…. A living fucking hell, behind doors….. appearing to be, totally opposite of who is under that mask, to the rest of the world.
Holy cow! I am sorry for leaving you a whole, obnoxious, dissertation, expressing my opinions, ranting……due to knowing this struggle all too well, actually, experiencing it literally as I type this tonight….. with our latest neighbors that moved in, just two months ago…….
A single mother and her, awfully…BRATTY ASS…7 year old, whom doesn’t listen to his mama whatsoever…….
Despite, her own big ass, disrespectful mouth….being just as loud and lacking consideration for others… as his is.
I know I’m a year late…but hopefully circumstances have changed or improved for your best interest, since your comment…
As for me, Gotta keep trying hard to avoid actual confrontation, as….she has pulled, what (now upon skimming through comments) appears to be a popular choice among, POS neighbors world wide, whom can’t handle…….justified, complaints on their behalf……….. and resort to retaliation tactics, after they’re aware, you finally had to report them…….. going the extra mile, to kick all the intolerable behavior that’s been “the norm” to them, up a few notches, as punishment 🙄😡😡🫠😑
Alrighty, take care…. That’s way too much typing for tonight, lol had to vent out my frustrations somehow, was close to imploding, listening to her son…..running back and fourth on sidewalk/shared patio, kicking up the rocks/gravel, random screams/squeals echoing… narrating all of it, as he runs around here like he ownes the place, none of her supervision……… touching/fucking with stuff on random neighbors patio’s……..😡
Including, going out of his way, to push our halloween decor, out of his way the other night, so he could pull out one of my lounge-chairs, shove his little scooter thing back there, and not bother to put my decorations back nearly close, to how they were……..as if, he doesn’t even know about, even the most minor, basic….common curtesy/boundaries…etc!!!!!!
I get it, he figured “so no one steals it”….as, they don’t have as many “hide spots” or items on their patio….too fucking bad! Take that shit inside, or ask mama to lock it up in patio storage, as each unit has…..
I was pushed nearly..over line, with that little thing, ONLY due to the idea, of him….despite being so loud, careless, just downright wild….lacking so much….awareness at that age (the appropriate amount for, his age)…that he would, (of fucking course, he would)…assume, “what’s everyone elses, is mine”……….absolutely, taking right after his mama…….
K, for real now, I am all done venting this all out….

l live in a senior building on the 3rd floor l have a tenant on the 4th floor with a child. This child shouldn't be living in the building at all, l'm working on a solution to this issue. This tenant daughter is trifling to let her mother watch her son, he's a toddler running back and forth, stomping and jumping. l written letters they keep having a meeting with me, but she's the problem. lt's like they're trying to protect her instead of me having peace.

Because they think just because they have kids they can use the “oh, well, kids will be kids” excuse every time they misbehave.
No. You chose to have unprotected sex and bring in your own creation to this world, YOU are responsible for correcting their behavior.
