I don't think most people who've never had a truly bad neighbour realise the effect it can have on those who have suffered with it. It really can put your life on hold trying to sort these people out with the local authorities but often to no avail, no one wanted to do anything despite lots of evidence. Months turn into years and then you feel like you've wasted all that time battling these awful neighbours.

There is no point discussing something with ignorant people. If they had any logical thought, they wouldn't be a noisy neighbour playing carnival level loud music at 3:30am. That's not a person you can talk to.

exactly people like that are usually high on drugs or drunk and they might try fight u if u go over and talk to them. It's better to remain anonymous and file a complaint.

I have noisy neighbours. I am now in the process of selling my house because of them and will NEVER again share walls with anyone. It’s rare that this kind of problem is resolved unless one or the other moves out.
That's such a pain. I (luckily) have fairly reasonable neighbours, but both them and the ones before them made me realise how thin the walls are - any time either set of them had Coronation Street on (at perfectly reasonable volume), I could hear each and every note of the theme tune.
That's right. Nothing ever works. I had done all that this gentleman is saying but it dies not work. I now result to prayers 🙏 and it appears to be working. Prayer is powerful.

Unfortunately, this just isn't true you can go to council and absolutely nothing will be done I know people that kept meticulous records for 5 years and never got so much as a letter sent out.

You can’t soundproof a terraced neighbours garden that is like a community centre for friends and relatives of the anti social tennant in question. They gather all day long, car doors slamming, back gate bang, bang, banging open and shut, dog barking, constant loud talking, shouting and using foul language, kids screaming and banging footballs which have come over the 6ft fence and hit me in the face, broken my glasses and split my lip, not to mention breaking plant pots, concrete ornament, a concrete bird bath and flowers too! In the warmer weather, the back door stays open until all hours and the noise continues. I am 60 years old and live here with my transgender daughter. These awful, noisy, nasty neighbours make our life a living hell 😩😭😭😭
We decided to move after years of constant loud noise from our neighbors..we tried everything.
We started with polite conversation, reasonable times for drilling banging and other work.the man was ok with this, his wife started playing music in the garden all day and then had kids.our lives became unbearable and so we have moved.i can say you are powerless to affect any changes unless you have decent neighbours..
I once googled "how to get rid of bad neighbors" wanting legal advice, but what popped up was , voodoo, hoodoo, and feng shui spells for getting neighbors to move. It's not about cursing people, but about moving energy. I felt so powerless dealing with this violent crazy neighbor, taking action behind the scenes was rather empowering, just for the fact that attempting a hoodoo , and feng shui spell felt therapeutic and made me laugh. It also seemingly worked. The creepy neighbor left soon after by his own choice, finding somewhere he'd rather be than our neighborhood.
The council tells you to record noise, and diary but cease to act on anything you hand over to them, I had to do this, I went to the rent office, I got the police, and absolutley Nothing got done and the amount of ppl I know that did the same and again Nothing was done, totally ignored, this was a few year ago but I doubt it has drastically improved since.
If anything it's got worse.
These processes are put in place to make you feel like something is being done. The truth is you don't actually have any control over what other people do and if they're not breaking any laws, neither do the council or police.
If the noise is between 11pm and 7am then you might see some action. If not and it isn't something severely extreme, something like a concert level of noise constantly or anything illegal like using a loudspeaker to advertise without permission from the council, then nothing can be done.
It's a horrible thing to realise but the only real options you have are to settle it with the neighbour yourself or just get over it.
@@JimboCruntz Unfortunately I tried several times to mediate with my neighbours, this was a rough estate and after being intimated and my wishes ignored I gave up, their music went on from 12 midnight to 4/5 am, in my opinion this was very serious, however the environmental health didn't help in any way, I prayed and they were answered, the houses were to be demolished, and I was moved to somewhere lovely 🙏.

My neighbour has only lived next door to me abt 14 months. Oh my goodness I feel like knocking her head off her shoulders. Loud music, screaming & shouting at the toddler, swearing at her,she won’t stop crying if she’s being shouted at. Friends round all laughing talking so loud singing to the loud music. I’m on with MESH at the minute. She does this quite often from early evening,all night until 3 am, after 5 am & even from tea time till after 8 am the next morning!! I am on my own & suffer with my health, and all this stress & lack of sleep is doing me no good, so I don’t fancy goin round especially when her friends are there. I don’t want retaliation. I mean who in their right mind thinks it’s acceptable to play loud music & sing & shout all night long till the next morning!! What I would like is respect. I don’t want her to not hav fun, she’s only a young single mom, but b a considerate neighbour!

I’ve reported her to the police & they’ve done a welfare check, but of course she’s not going to be screaming like a banshee & effin & blindin at the little one when they’re there is she!? I’ve even phoned child welfare services 3 times & was told someone would call me back. Guess what : nothing!! It’s still ongoing.
Chavs weren't raised to have manners for to be considerate. In fact, I don't think they were raised at all!
These solutions only work in a reasonable world.

@@breezeway3410 AND the fact that they are noisy is already an indication that they don't care so much about others. It's probably not the first time & they are awary that they are upsetting others but they just don't give a s*t.

Useful information, but as others have said, don't expect much help from your local council.
As i live in a row of terraced properties most including my neighbours are rental.
The one to my left was made into 2 flats, and this has caused me a lot of grief with loud music
and arguments, i now know who the letting agent is, and if a word with the offending tennant
doesn't work, then a letter to the agent seems to result in the tenant receiving an antisocial
warning letter.
Life is no fun with noisy neighbours.

I've talked with my neighbor a couple months ago and they were ok. Now they need a reminder, if they aren't reasonable, then idk if I should file a complain or just keep going over. They were embarrased thr first time. But I don't understand the lack of self awareness.
@@zahra44416 Wow, it sounds like things escalated a lot for you, but at least the landlord is on your side. From what you describe it sounds like a terrible neighbor and not a very nice person, so I guess it is up to you to put in another report to evict the person.
For me, my neighbors went back to their annoying ways, but I had to move to a new city for a new job and I broke the lease anyway. Weirdly enough my old neighbors also moved out like 2 or 3 weeks before I did. So I had some peace before I left.

Or drunk people... there is just a couple upstairs no children. In the evening, when they've finished their marathon through their apartment and are watching TV, every few minutes I can hear something heavy dropping (probably a bottle of wine or beer) and when they talk they shout at each other. Well, I think they drink a lot. When they argue (only at night) I hear the babbling in their voice too...

My upstairs 280 lb neighbor Stomps and jumps on his floor/my ceiling. He calls me a f----B--- in front of other neighbors. He does this to upset me as I have told him it scares my 2 kitties. I have told the manager of this Housing Authority apartment, and called the police. This happens all hours of day and night. My next door neighbors have heard him in their apt. I am a 69 year old disabled female. I have lost much sleep and am suffering from anxiety. I got a recording dewvice . I hope it works. What else can I do ?
I have no beef with my actual neighbours and would feel perfectly comfortable discussing any loud noises with them, but I live on a corner and one of the properties on the adjoining street backs on to mine.
That property round the corner has been playing loud music during the week outside from 11am through to whenever I finally get to sleep (1am at minimum).
Would I feel comfortable knocking on their door asking them to turn it down? Hell no - that street is rough as hell. If they ever saw me going into my house, I'd expect something unspeakable flung at it within a week - especially if the complaint had to be referred to the council/housing association afterwards.
7am is still way to early to be making noise! Should be 10am! Although in all fairness, all flats, apartments should just simply be better soundproofed!
7am is fine for most people who need to go to work or school any ways.
Unless you're just off the nightshift...

We have constant doors slamming day and night still waiting for a resolution but believe nothing is going to work
I have to deal with this type of issue myself. Only thing is - they do it intentional. Revenge for complaints against them for playing music at 3am to point you can hear it in the garden. Complaints for allowing fights, drug dealing and so on. But to them, cause we complain - we are the bad ones.
Best thing you can do is just record it and keep written sheets of records of it happening. If its within 7am-11pm i hardly think anything will be done sadly. But if it's done intentionally and you can prove this - harassment complaint via the police, follow that up with evidence of your complaint to the council and your local MP.
Take these steps, they are better than sitting in silence with the inconsiderate assholes slamming their doors.
I have new neighbours that are bearable apart from during school holidays. They are one couple living in a one bedroom flat. We both have the same landlord/lett agents. I was told when I moved here that I couldn't have guests staying over night as its a small one bedroom flat the same as my new neighbours. But during the school holidays they have 2 more adults and 3 children staying with screaming through out the day and the night. Or they are out booting footballs nearly hitting windows. Throwing scooters and running in and out of my garden. I have tried asking the children nicely to keep the ball away from the buildings but there are toddlers that don't speak or understand any English at all so they carry on doing this every day during the long holidays. Right now at 9:30pm the kids are screaming and shouting the parents loudly talking over them and one of them sounds like they are chopping food against the joining wall. It's driving me crazy I live alone and I'm to afraid to speak to them to make it stop with 4 adults and 3 screaming kids. I've been considering complaining to my letting agents but they will know its me because we have the same landlord etc. I dont want to make my life already worse than it already is but I cant cope much more. I feel totally out of my depth and I'm disabled to so would be a bit difficult if I had to stand up to these people. I know most little ones there parents put them to bed at a reasonable hour but at 9:30pm screaming, banging and windows wide open the whole road can hear them its absolutely crazy that they don't seem to care that who hears them. I feel sorry for my other neighbours who have to work nights, how on earth they sleep through all this noise is beyond me. I dont know what to do but I just want to move away from these inconsiderate humans, I've had enough.
Does it have to be during the night? we currently have 3 children stomping and jumping around upstairs sometimes on purpose as they know its upsetting esp for my two year old.

Drug addict neighbours living above me in a Council-owned flat amongst private owners/renters. Taking an eternity for Council to reply. Music used to be the primary problem however as drug addicts they certainly have other problems at hand. Hear them arguing daily over various things, planning to steal to fund their habit, police raids, harassing other neighbours, abandoning a dog in the flat for a week, leaving threating notes on our notice boards once receiving complaints to just name a handful. Regularly hear one of them screaming at the other for their pipe and I'm at breaking point. A large chunk of other neighbours also feel a similar way and council or housing authority take their sweet time to do anything... or nothing at all! Evidencing everything I hear in spreadsheets, recording what I can by phone etc but never seems enough.
Dear Daniel thank you for the very informative video. However, what is one to do if the thudding, stomping and slamming of doors takes place outside of 11pm - 7am. For example, I am 73 and live on the ground floor of a large converted house. My neighbours above me have a lot of traffic and one cannot have a civil conversation as they resort to abuse and violence. In order to supplement my pension, I work sometimes from 7am to 7pm and on my return home I need to be able to unwind/relax and enjoy being home and not be kept awake until 11pm which takes a toll on my mental and physical health. Police are already involved and being very helpful but my landlord, a housing association, not so, utterly incompetent. Any advice please? Regards
We have a bit noisy naighbors they play loud music sometimes and sometimes they talk loud i usually just bang the wall so they would be quiet i hope that they move away
Not trying to connect with them to be honest I don't see why I have to place my self in a position for the sake of someone Wanting to act like a silly little child. The behavior is beyond the joke.... swearing drinking partying screaming and shouting at children till all hours music Blasting till 2:00/ 3:00 /5:00am on the weekends every weekend but it's alright the last tenant went to jail for smashing it's face in. It cried wolf and has been left to destroy the next tenants life IE my family life. reason behind it. The narcissist needs supply, 24/7 around the clock and the attention comes in the form of all day and night everyday and night. Loves drama along with supply it's luck ran out from this side of the fence, because we made the choice not to connect with any of them and for all the right reasons it and I say it was looking for friendship, and as a person that keeps themselves to them self that friendship was never going to grow let alone take place or develope, and we are being punished for that reason. I don't find drinking till rat arssed then ending up with a face full of brick wall to be the in thing but each to the own 😂 moved in to this place 3 years ago with my family which was supposed to be a Fresh start ...LOL FRESH START LOL sure with the neighbor from hell of cause it's a fresh start. Toxic people wow thats an understatement I'm surprised them lot don't glow green at night to warn off others better still they should all come with a yellow toxic warning sticker 😂 as for the court system 😞 I think I gave up on them years ago. But it's nice to know that someone's still out there trying to do right by the people going through this. And with that said my advice to anyone going through this would be to invest in a good pair of ear plugs cause you definitely need them in this house. They definitely don't know how to talk, they only know how to shout and mimic. they do it like their life's depended on it. Oh there it is again I just heard my laughter being mimic yet again... It may carry weight if other neighbors complained. Otherwise you’re on your own, especially if they turn round and say you’re making the noise.
@@rosem5041 Those with serious character distrurbance and major narcissim/psychopathy issues are not only pathological liars and the intentional agitators, but they love to project (who they are and what they are doing) onto others, blameshift and then play the victim, therefore for this very reason I have indoor and outdoor surveillance cameras with sound that record 24/7 all within and around the outside of the home, while also keeping excellent documentation of everything they do. So loads of luck to these degenerated parasites of society when attempting to prove any of their lies

I'm from Italy but I'll be moving to London shortly. I've already been in London,but just for short trips,and never had a problem. Now we're movin on a permanent basis. I'm watching this video because I had some problems with a douchebag noisy neighbour:he was havin parties and playin loud music until 2/3 am. I talked to him a couple of times,and the second time we almost caught up in a fight: he claimed that "he is free to do what he wants to do and he claimed that he has different "habits" than other people". You can't talk to this people,you just have to rip their fuckin head off (oh,how I wish I could without facing legal consequences). The law here in Italy it's absolutely ridicoulous,and if you call the police they won't even show up. I thought that in the UK was better,but judging by the comments,it is not 😔
It's not. I currently have neighbours that stay up playing music, loudly talking and making a ton of impact noise from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. (all's quiet during the day while they sleep) about 3 to 4 nights a week. They are complete a*seholes. My local council has been useless, the advice given rubbish and any interventions are likely to make things worse fir me not better. I've been asked if I've spoken with my neighbour: they really don't have a clue what some people are like: you can't talk to certain types. It's been suggested that my only option is to move (after having spent a fortune on my flat). F*cking ridiculous.

@@francesco300 I live in the Bristol area but am Anglo-Italian (my dad's Italian and I grew up in Italy) and have been living in the UK for a few years now. I'm familiar with both countries. Tbh homes here in the UK tend to be poorly built and sound insulation is terrible. If you can afford it your best bet is to either move to a detached house in a quiet area/neighbourhood or to heavily invest in good sound proofing (only an option if you own your place and the property is in an area where you'll be sure to get a return on your investment should you sell in future). Otherwise it's a question of luck. Up until a few months ago (when new neighbours moved in) I'd been very lucky and had quiet and considerate neighbours. However, not all Brits are polite, civil and respect the rules and if I'm being honest I've never met people with such a low level of civility as I have since coming to live in this country.

Btw I'm looking to relocate to Bristol as well,as I'm tired of all the buzz and chaos of London. We're going to stay in an Airbnb first,then look for a house share/flat to rent. If I'll ever get the chance to buy a house I hope to get a detatched house,maybe in the countryside or in a family/quite neighborhood, but I can't afford to buy a house right now,so...
@@francesco300 I've lived half of my life in Italy and I've lived in the US. Perhaps in the past I've just been lucky but I've never met such uncivil people as I have here (and I hear you: I used to think Italy was bad). It may not be a question of nationality but definitely a question of culture and the types of attitudes that get cultivated. A big issue in the UK, though, is the quality of housing which tends to be quite poor no matter what your budget which is why it's best to move to a detached house if you are able to. I had lived in a house share for a number of years and it was perfect so you just have to find the right place and right people. If a peaceful setting is what you are hoping to find, here in the Bristol area you might want to consider checking out places like Portishead which has a nice tranquil country feel to it but is still quite close to the city so not too far to commute to work. Just a thought. I wish you all the best on your move away from London: I myself am not a fan of big cities and could never live in London.
Move, I've had 3 noisey swines in the flat above, he wakes me every morning at 4.15 , then every weekend he's kids , anyway I'm off can't cope with people like that .

i live on the first floor N its horrible. my neighbor likes to party with lots of company over they constantly moving furniture to the degree it gets on my last nerve. she has a dog that barks all day when left behind which is often, it pees and poop inside i can smell that coming into my place. i have done all above now we going to court.
If an employee of a Housing Association repeatedly steals keys for an empty bedsit from an office of the Housing Association they work for and after a series of criminal incidents a number of tenants receive six figure compensation payments is the solicitor and barrister involved in the case guilty of entrapment and conspiracy charges considering they knew the keys for the empty bedsit were repeated stolen from the housing association office?

The registered tenant living under the empty bedsit where the keys are stolen for is kept awake every single night for approximately 9 years by people going in and out the empty bedsit countless times every single night banging on the floor drilling into the floor.
Can the registered tenant who had been terrorised for years take a claim out against the individual solicitor and barrister involved and the Law Firm the solicitor works for and the Chambers the Barrister works for?
Both the Solicitor and Barrister knew the keys for the empty bedsit were repeatedly stolen from a Housing Association office by an employee of the Housing Association.
Plus Dane Housing Association in Liverpool, employee stealing the keys Margaret Lowton.
Solicitors Thompsons Solicitors Church Street Office Liverpool City Centre.
A female solicitor at Thompsons Solicitors yet to find out the woman's name.
Yet to find out the Barristers Chambers and individual Barrister involved.
Unite Union Liverpool city Centre, Jack Jones House involved in the theft of keys and entrapment of the registered tenant by harassing him for years on end.

If a persons walks into a Unite Union building and injures the staff what sentence would they receive?
What is the legal loud in dB at day time? Is there app to measure it?
What about excessive stomping or thumping, is that nuisances noise?
My new neighbour last Sunday was making so much noise , I went spoke with him and explained it was unacceptable to play loud music, at 10:30am in morning, & banging through the day, he was unaware that he couldn’t make any noises between 11pm 7am , but he plays darts and even then at 7:30pm or 8:30pm you still hear it, he lives above me, but coping the best I can with it & logging when what time & what movements , that disturb me, I’ve told my landlord, and if continues I will contact the council, yes i have made noises over the years and have distributed people, but i have learned to negotiate the sound levels and sound proof my flat, as DJ / sing and create trance in my flat, I’m aware that sound travels, after 8pm
What about if the noise is during the day ? How to deal with day noise ?
I have them too. But nothing works. I have now gone spiritual. It's working.

What if you live out in the county with no noise ordinance ?
The only thing you can do is move away from them, otherwise you are powerless to do anything about them.
This is why we need the right to bare arms.

so I play alot of instruments and one of these is a tuba btw tubas are very loud. And my grandma lives In a suburb. So I bought a megaphone and decided to have “tuba practice outside” the second I played a note with the megaphone on I almost blew out my ear drums the noise was heard from over a mile away according to my grandma who was walking. And I did this for about 45 minutes their massive German Shepard was going nuts and they were covering their ears yelling at me. Then as I got tired I let out one last blast as loud as I could and the megaphone speaker blew out…. I think I got them back :)
What about an excessive loud motorcycle at 6am every morning? I’ve tried to speak calmly to him about it. His response is to rudely advise me to move. He has the option of driving to work, which he does when it is cold or rainy. Townhome association flat refuses to help. Greatly effects my sleep quality and peace of mind. I’m going to approach city council but not optimistic. Feels like I’m the only one who cares.
Yup I try to block it out dealing with neighbour and her sons slamming doors all the time and they’re trying to play victim. how do you deal with half of the neighborhood that is loud? can i suit the whole neighborhood? i live in a residential neighborhood with homes not apartments. most of these people shoot guns in the air, fireworks, loud parties, loud music, screaming and yelling, let their dogs run loose, have loud exhaust and stereos in their vehicles, drive 0-90 up and down the street. it's a culture thing, their culture is ruining the neighborhood, not necessarily them. i have a pif house, i'm disabled, can't afford to move anywhere, and physically can't do it unless i hire a couple of crews, and with lower income in todays ridiculous inflated real estate, i won't have near the amount of home i have now, which isn't that great anyway but much better than some of the properties i seen for sale in my price range. police is 50/50, sometimes they tell them to be quiet, sometimes they don't show.

Best way to deal with noisy neighbours get a vibrator on the wall easy enough to make just get a 24 volt scooter motor get a piece of wood and drill a hole through it so it's off Centre attach it to the motor screw motor to the wall the motor will be off balance like a car wheel that's not been balanced and that will cause a vibration that will send your neighbours dotty I did this for an elderly gentleman that was not getting any sleep at night because they were playing music till three o'clock in the morning they soon stopped but the old fella carried on .
I live in a block n a neighbour keeps assuming the rubbish dumped outside the block is mone and keeps putting it outside my door or in my shed or recycling bin! I've spoken to him about it but he gets aggressive and wont stop. Latest is wall tiles which I'm willing to show him are not in my home. I have no grey tiles! Set up a small discrete camera. ideally one that records audio too. Set it up. say nothing.
I am an acoustic consultant so I often see the huge range of different responses to noise. If you haven’t spoken to a noisy neighbour yet please consider how to not argue with them. Make friends with them first if you can, you’ll probably find that they are less likely to be noisy if they like you and will think about what they’re doing a bit more.
If you go round shouting at someone, even if you think you’re in the right, you are less likely to get a positive outcome. In some cases personalities differ too much and the issue becomes a neighbour dispute as oppose to one side being too noisy. In that case if you’re the one complaining about the noise the council/legal route is the only route you can take as it’s often all night noise that is the issue. If it’s just banging about in the day that’s the issue, consider what you can do as it’s easier to change things yourself than to force change on others. At one house that we bought the previous tenant had installed noise insulation on the party wall as they could hear the kids and the TV from the neighbours. It was badly done so we redid it but it did the job nicely. Our tenant said in that room he can’t hear them at all.
I also refurbish houses so sometimes have to make noise during the work. As it’s my profession we stick to reasonable times for noise. One neighbour didn’t want any noise at all however which is unreasonable on a weekday afternoon when working on a party wall. As the noise maker, I can sympathise however the work has to happen so in that situation all I can do is explain the times we work and ask if there is a particular time/day that quiet is required which there wasn’t. As the work is temporary it will end and when it occurs can be adjusted within reason. Unfortunately that neighbour did not meet me in the middle and so work continued and was completed as quickly as possible. We’re talking a couple of days.

My neighbour does night shifts and is wayy overly sensitive. I never really hear them but they have complained verbally about me exercising in my living room during the day, so I bought a rug and don't jump around. They also said i was slamming the back door but I was just in and out. No slamming.
It's not just me, they had issues with the previous occupant. They need to be in a detached house. Or get a white noise machine.
I’m an acoustic consultant and I agree. If there’s some construction work that needs to happen it would be unreasonable to do that work at night because one resident works nights as the majority of residents sleep in the night. Try and keep the peace but there’s nothing they can do. They should do something to enable them to sleep in the day or change profession as they are the anomaly.
That's not unreasonable though. Authorities can only act on noise past 11pm to 7am

@@ArryTank I know what's DIY but, but what kind of DIY activity that is bothering the neighbor? I mean if you are sewing, or using those serger machines to do final touching on the clothes. These machines make noise. I used to to sew as hobby and sometimes I was sewing around 1am. I was worried about the neighbor. But the sewing machine was not used continuously, was like 2 minutes and stopped. The problem is it sucks being poor where your neighbor sleeps in the living room, sneaking extra people, 2 people living in the livingroom. Poverty sucks.

My neighbour is doing it on purpose. They hate me, but i dont know what for. Totally unapproachable people. Landlord does nothing. Local authorities wont do anything unless i escalate the situation and put myself at risk. Already im living in fear.

Hey, to be honest and this comes from my own experience - don't do it. There is a better way, one that will save you much pain. First get yourself a cheap clip on microphone (one that is very sensitive) and hook that up to your pc. Record from the moment you wake up, everyday. Record it, write it down and save it all.
Keep doing this Pat, i know it's a pain in the butt but trust me - getting revenge is short term. People know your habits as you know theirs. Think about it - you know what time they tend to make noise and what noise they make. If they suddenly changed that up to be louder and different - you would notice and they will notice you changing too.
Once you go down the road of getting them back, they are left with a few options - make things worse for you, complain about you, confront you etc. Things will just get worse for you.
With all your recordings, you can show to anyone what you have to live with. You can show the council, you can write to your MP. Your MP is what i suggest. Send your written logs of the noise to your MP, include your mental health state, what it is doing to you, the lack of help you have been given.
The MP will be your best bet.
I hope my advice helps you but at the very least - i can say i feel your pain, i truly do. People who live only to think of themselves and not be considerate to others are truly scum. But you are not alone Pat, you keep that in mind.

Not sure what your "advice" adds or detracts here....the presumption you "speak to your neighbour" is now so misplaced its borderline irrelevant. Its an old custom that once upon a time used to work because society had a things called manners. No today, that presumption is so archaic an idea and possibly dangerous in many cases that it is bets avoided. Also notion that someone will just give you their email address is laughable. The only way to address this situation is immediately start logging the matter and send asap to the council as a noise abatement request and their intervention. There are so many issues around social behaviours today that for example mass gangs of kids running rampant on estates, is something that is long overdue to be tackled, again useless eater parents just breeding at an alarming rate!

Largely academic advice, and sorry to say, it's absolutely worthless -- not relevant to today's social conditions with entitled neighbours who are fundamentally uncouth. Trying to reason with people of this ilk is pointless, and likely to escalate their already aberrant behaviour. Of course noisy neighbours know what they're doing, but they have a screw-you attitude. Laughable to suggest the local authority, landlord, or police will assist you -- as the comment here show, that avenue for recourse is a often a complete waste of your time.
