There are people in this world that love conflict. Even when you mind your business, they find a way to disrupt your peace. You handled this better than I would have. I would still get a few cameras just incase.
Not only that, but the worst part is when you do mind your own business...they will spread lies about you that are not true and next thing you know the other neighbors act differently around you I know it sucks, but i can totally relate to what you're saying and this is what I am dealing with right now A pair of awesome headphones work really well to cancel out their disruptive force
Adam Adam Adam that’s easy to say when you’re a man. I have an old man that peeps in all my windows the police do nothing but file the report. Can’t wait to get my home bro😂
Natural beauty. I realise now neighbour actually spy on what people do in their own backyard. Having lived in Europe for years and being a foreigner, if that has something to do with it. I realise now. What do you expect? From them..
Thank you for being the type of person that lives their life truthfully and with the understanding that we should value all life, even going so far as trying to respect others that act entitled and don’t deserve it. All while honoring the earth from which we all came. You’re an inspiration!
I know man. honestly being an annoying douchebag isn't illegal but it should be. some people just need an a** whoopin but unfortunately it's not the wild west and you can't just do that. too bad because I'm certain that would 'fix' a lot of annoying idiots like this
Great video - he may be worried that you have cctv proof that he isn’t sick or injured and the state payouts may stop ! You are obviously a respectful and good person. Stay well !
I feel bad you had to go through all that disfunctionalism with your neighbor. God bless you for being so peaceful. You have a beautiful property. I wish you continued peace.
Thanks for your Military service. I’m an Australian Veteran who serviced in Africa in the 1990’s and I totally understand not wanting to harm anything anymore. I’ve been working on my anger issue and your video touched my heart because I struggle with PTSD and I see people who think they deserve everything for free. Thanks mate.
Early in our marriage, we visited my mother-in-law. I found her so overbearing, difficult and so on. I had a hunch that she was snooping in our suitcase. When we went out for a walk, I left a paper saying,” HI HELEN!” I knew she got caught, she was so red-faced and quiet
My mother in law was so mean my husband stopped taking us. She excused me of stealing money and food from the surplus I would get. She was going to move and wanted me to pay her money for a sewing machine she gave me. My husband said to go throw it on her porch. I couldn’t I went and gave it back to her. It was the last time we saw her until her funeral.
As soon as self professed "godly" inlaws realized their sons were talking TRUTH about the past, they decided they didn't want any funeral. The spiritual fruit inspectors of others are terrified facts will be revealed. They have ostracisized their siblings from communication. And they can't understand why their own siblings won't talk to them. Yup, there ARE people like this. Brothers united & freed! Sure wished they'd have done this sooner.:0)
We recently bought property to start a little homestead and I have a very similar neighbor. I am definitely biding my time to determine how best to deal with it, with as little conflict as possible. Thanks for sharing your story!
@@James_the_Builder Thank you for the advice! Unfortunately this neighbor reacted to being ignored. She wanted attention so badly, she did everything she could to get us to react. She stole mail, put trash in the mailbox, tried to hit us with her car... ugh. Luckily she moved and our new neighbors are fantastic! She put them through the ringer buying her house. She left the place trashed.
@@dawo8506 good advice! We definitely started documenting every little occurrence. She finally moved, though. I feel bad for whoever her current neighbors are. Our new neighbors are fantastic!
Great plan... To make it more believable for a city dweller, paint spaghetti sauce cans black & post them on at least three places around the perimeter, and buy a sign.
Dealing with the same situation, trespass, lectures, entitlement, moving things around when Im not on the property. Its been over two years. Ive resorted to cameras. They were sabotaged. I also do not want conflict in my paradise. Thank you for your story, its helped me. Going to give it a try. Wish me success too.
I have a situation where a neighbor, an old lady that whenever she walks in front of my place, she leans on my micro garden and pinch my basils, always stealing my basils, one day I told her: "NO!" She got very mad. And she has her own micro garden too, why on earth she stares at my stuff and take it. Get your own. I can't stand people like that. Rude, disrespectful, entitled. She has nice clothes, have a good life, she has free rent where lives with the daughter and son in law, and coming to my micro garden and stealing from a hard worker that pays for everything. Give me a break. And she keeps staring at my garden, being noisy, and one day she stopped in front of my garden and in front of my kitchen window and staring, like she is checking if I am home and not seeing her, and then I stood up and started cleaning my throat to tell her, hinting her: "I saw you, get out, get lost, entitled" and she left. I feel like to put a camera that talks to her: "It's rude staring, you don't have business here, bug off!"
Hi, I did the same thing and had the same experience. Bought 4 acres in the Northern California foothills and before I even moved in I had people telling me what they were going to do and what I could do on my own land!! Couldn't believe the nerve and arrogance of people. Took some work but things are finally settling down. Good luck to you!!! Thank you for your service !! WiL
I love the way you think,I am also a Vietnam veteran and I had a similar problem with a neighbor and the hardest part was keeping the PTSD under control and not just shooting them.I put up cameras and that cured my problem. They didn't like it so they moved!THANK YOU FOR YOU SERVICE AND WELCOME HOME!
I wish the world was full of people like this man. The bully neighbor could have built a good friendship with him and had someone he could count on in a time of crisis. A good friend is worth far more than some material gain.
Glad you have a piece of paradise now. It looks and sounds like a lovely place to drink a good cup of coffee in the morning. Because of good brave men and women like you, we can enjoy mornings as serene as that looks. I appreciate all you had to do for our freedom. Thank you for your service.
that is the one thing you worry about when moving to a new location, will we have good neighbors, or crazy ones. you had a crazy one, albeit 4 miles away, but you discovered what his kryptonite was. Thank you for your service to our country.
Thank you for sharing. Not something I would have thought of to handle the situation but a great remedy. By the way Thank You for your service to this great country. This is the reason we have the freedom to have privacy and abilities to own our own places. God bless you and your family.

You can talk about it all you want to. My husband was a vietnam vet and my dad was in wwII and at Pearl Harbor when it was bombed. It is good to talk about it. God bless you!
Demo Unit Hello Demo, although I see you point, I must respectfully disagree with you. I believe that politicians beco.e what we WANT them to become. Case in point, nearly every politician that has spoken truthfully, has lost; reason being is that almost everyone wants all these promises, but does not want to pay for them. Politicians can be the most truthful people in our society, if we demand that of them...if we elected the honest ones, that would start a trend. All they are is a reflection of our society. Everyone wants tax cuts and more benefits...Any politician who goes against these tenets will never get elected.
Demo Unit Hello there, D Unit!! Wow, many excellent points you have raised here, paragraph #1 spoke to the influence of media...I agree with you, they should be objective in their discourse, but it's almost like the don't even try anymore to hide their biases. Once I saw their actions through the election, and continuing to this day, against President Trump...he painted such a clear picture of them, coupled with Twitter (which you mention as well), I agree with you, politics will never be the same. After President Trump's historic meeting with Kim Jung Un, I was appalled with the line of questions from George Stephanopoulos. So far, I have to give Trump very high marks. Although I am dead against his ideas on immigration and a few other issues...what you said about the best ideas coming to the surface, giving the little guy at least a small chance. Heck, Dennis Rodman did more for peace with North Korea than the Bushs and the Clintons.
First I would like to thank you for your service to our country. Sounds like your neighbor has serious issues and not to be trusted good to acknowledge warning signs of his instability to protect your family. May God richly bless you and family may you experience peace wherever you choose to live.
How to get rid of an annoying neighbor ... Then theres My munchkin always looking out the window as her somexs pastime. gradually learning every body's styles of hi. Little Rico suave is doing the pt thing @ ppl now too. : Give her crayon for the wall. Also, I have no neighbors. I suspect most of them got evicted. There's some nosey old folks across from me tho. Not being disrespectful. They just know how to be out there 24/7, according to my schedule... & It's weird. A gay guy. A couple & son. & 1 other dude. I low key think he either doesn't do ish or watch him be a retired something idk but maybe state affiliated
You neighbor is worried about security cameras because of his disability claim. If a security footage showed him up and about on your property when in fact his claim may be stating he is immobilized, then he could 1) loose all his benefits and 2) subject to a court hearing that may require him to return monies he collected in the past and possibly a sentence if he were proved fraudulent. It’s a lot to loose for him.
Lazy takers and narc /bulling wierdos are pathetic and i hope he gets busted for his lies about his disability fraud too! People like him retreat into they`re shallow minds and then decide they are going into victim mode when they get called out or found out. I wish peace was the way of the world. (O: .....For some silly reason i`m wondering what color that Crayon was, lololol I`m thinking Blue! hehheheh. That property is so serene. Good for you guys.
I enjoy your tangents too :-) While technically the military stuff *is* irrelevant to the actual problem and solution (although the fact that you sought a low-conflict solution has maybe *everything* to do with it :-) ), you have obviously been thru a lot of stress (I can relate :'( ), and it's enjoyable to be able to hear another PTSD Dude's story from a few thousand miles away. Keep relaxing, love life and enjoy! :-)
I did something like this when I worked loss prevention. An unknown employee stole a new girls iPhone8+ and hid it somewhere in the store to avoid a bag check and pick it up later. I knew it was in the store still so after I spent an hour looking for it I found it behind some boxes in a stock room. I replaced the expensive phone with a note that said "Turn around and SMILE, you're fired. ;) ". On the wall behind her I had put up a camera (fake). When the thief left in the middle of her shift the next day we knew who did it.
I'm just happy to see you spelled it correctly! I can't remember what site I was on not too long ago, but not only was it spelled wrong in the article, but the person in the video kept pronouncing it skeleton, too. I'm not quite from that era, but I know who he is from looking at the newspaper every year as a kid on my birthday to see which famous people had my birthday, too.
What a good idea, l to am being bullied by a niebour, he thretand to kill my cat, if it went on his property, 10 days later my cat disappeared, l have had 8 insidence now of buluing, and the police will not, help, they say ignore him, lam 74 he is 32, l feel helpless
Excellent idea!!! Since my late husband was in USNavy 18 and a half years, beginning with Vietnam conflict, I really do understand your feelings on avoiding conflict. So happy to hear your experiences and wish you and your lovely family many happy years together!!!
"Mr. J" seems to have wasted the opportunity of getting a good friend and neighbor. I listened to the entire film which i found very interesting. I wish you the very best and peace in your life.

Just happened on your video and wanted to tell you you’re a Great guy and I like how you hold life sacred, Thankyou for putting your life on the line for this Country! God Bless You! 🙏🏻
Great message and as a vet myself, thanks for your service. Always better to think things out rather than fly off the handle. You did a SMART thing and hope you live a happy fruitful life.
True. No matter how tempting a full-on confrontation may seem, throwing gasoline on a flame rarely ends well. And some people are just flames looking for some gasoline.
Thanks for the Good tip! That was a great idea, I love it. OMG that jerk neighbor, can't STAND nosy neighbors in your space and face telling you what to do on your own property. You handled him well, Homesteader!
He'd lecture me about my dog.. I'd be lecturing him about ownership of property and for him not to be on it.. But yeah.. my father served in WWII, and when he returned he thought he was going to be a pig farmer, but he couldn't even take their life.. they became pets.. so were the chickens.. and the guineas.. :) Birds would flock and sit next to him, and built nests inside his smokehouse.. he could run his tools, but they were never afraid of him.. He'd talk to the mama birds..
ursaltydog I teared up. Sounds like your father raised his children well. It’s odd how veterans returning from their various outconus hells say quietly but with steely conviction words (in essence) like Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce said, “I will fight no more forever”.
I could recount so many of his stories to you... He and his outfit as he called it, traipsed across Europe by the skin of their teeth since their landing.. The one thing I always had to assure him of before he passed was that God would forgive him for everything he did in the war.. Just a good ole country boy.. a boy who went there and came back a man.. Him and all his brothers including twin returned.. one not so good emotionally.. From finding love in England to having to leave her there..to witnessing men hanging from trees from a failed jump.. massacred U.S. soldiers by Nazi troops.. to taking a crane through the middle of France just to see the Eiffel Tower and nearly being court-martialed.. to grieving over two fellow soldiers who committed suicide before they made it back home (they were found out to be gay) so as to spare their families humiliation survivor benefits would be distributed and avoid chemical experiments in prison.. so many stories.. I loved that man with all my being.. the gentlest creature on the face of the earth.. he never cussed anyone.. Only three times I ever witness him cry.. suicide of his eldest brother.. the death of my mother.. and talking about the two men who should've been able to come home, no matter who they loved.
How much was he exposed to the dog before messing with it? If he knew the dog would be docile he would have no qualms about bothering it. But an unseen dog...? If you ran into a BOD sign and didn't see a dog would you chance it?
I Did the same thing, i sold my business that i started after my time in the Army and bought a 23 acre farm in Maine and moved up there from Virginia and i had neighbors on both sides claiming parts of my property and even were caught moving the property markers. After they were sued and charged several thousands of dollars to re-survey the markers they both ended up broke and had to move out of their own property. Just stick to your guns and wait till the right time and burn him up good.
This video just told him you have no video. O well like another comment said he’s afraid you will have evidence to prove he’s not disabled. If he shows up again really get a camera.
Yup, & people think your just being a smart ass but it is true there are 3 sides, I'll spill the beans. There is his side, there is your side and... there is the truth. 3 sides. If the law is ever called in guess what side will matter to them? This is why cameras matter and why I have them pointing every witch way all over my property. I'm lucky to have pretty good neighbors so my cams are just generally to keep an eye out for roving dogs, wild life and general security.
@@dscottfr A brilliant way to deal with a bully? Tell them the rules, pretend you can't enforce the rules, then when they break them, enforce them. For example, he might've put up no trespassing signs and then left the property, so the bully might think you won't see trespassing, but they don't know you have cameras. To catch thieves, I've put out an obviously broken camera where it's seen and then three good cameras where they're hidden, and people look at the broken camera and send themselves to jail.
Hi buddy, Jamie from the United Kingdom here, thought your video was fantastic, calm.relaxed and enjoyable. Your restraint and carful handling of this situation was wonderful and a great example to your son. Jay 👍🇬🇧
Love your channel, I just found it, but you are like a mirror reflection of me, lol and I can relate with you so much. I didn't save the world or do any crazy medal of honor stuff but, I served, and then worked as a military contractor for several years after, then as a paramedic on the task force. Now I'm retired and bought the family farm, which was previously owned by "the family" that ownes most of the land around here and then just recently bought the 80 acres behind me. They did me the same thing. "We owned everything you see all the way up and down the highway Yada yada and they were going to run their dogs on the land behind my house. As you did, I politely allowed them to hunt out that year and even offered to share it the next. They cut my stands down and destroyed my food plots and had the nerve to leave a note in one of the stands "this has been my families land for over 100 years, and we did not agree to you messing up our hunting land by adding plots that are going to take our deer away. Do not continue to do anything on this part of the land without talking to my dad or uncle" luckily for me, the dad knew what the end resukt would be if his son kept this up and brought him to my doorstep BY THE EAR, to apologize and ask what needed to be done to repair what him and his friends destroyed. Long story short, I've gotten along with the guys for 10 years now (except the son). So I recently bought more land attached to my plot and the son called the exact on me and requested a survey for drainage purposes, then lied to them about owning part of my land and the epa designated 76 of my 80 acres as "natural flood drainage" and now I can't touch it. I reported him and even showed proof that he didn't own any of the la d therefore, the plot he "was building a house on" does not exist. They don't seem to care, and now I have 76 acres of land that's completely useless and the value is gone. Any suggestions how I can get this remedied? Thanks for your service, I don't know what you went through or the nightmares you have from it, but I know what I did and what I deal with so I can relate to you if you ever need me. I know what writing your will at 17 is... thanks again and hope everything's going great!
In 4th Grade my son had a teacher who was very mean to him. He would come home and complain - and I would simply tell him - YES - that sounds very unfair - but son - you will have to deal with people like this in your grown up life - so keep telling me about the things this teacher is doing - because son it sounds like these things are not educational or fare to little kids. Then one day my son and I were at the batting cages and another Mom walked up and expressed impressive performance of my son - we struck up a conversation and she got around to asking me were my son was in school - I told her - she asked if we had Ms. Waters - I told her yes - she asked how we liked her - I told her well I don't want to get in a law suit with her. The Mom then went into a laundry list of how her son was treated by her. I thanked her and told her - she gave me a good idea. The teacher always gave them ten spelling words on Friday and Monday they were to turn in 10 sentences using the spelling words. So that weekend - our sentences reflected all the mean things this teacher had done to my son that he had reported to me. The mean crap stopped - and we no longer had the sentence part of the spelling words on weekends. Funny how the truth prevails over evil bullies.
I am sincerely sorry that you had to put up with this mess. I'm from the Carolinas but have called Texas my home for the past 25 years. I'm still the new guy albeit I own one of the bigger farms in East Texas and I have a cabin on the place and I allow my sons, and my police, fire and veteran friends to hunt and stay in the cabin for free year round. And I had a neighbor like that. Wish I had your patience. When the bully neighbor thought it would be cool to intimidate my youngest son (15y at the time) and even went so far as to lay hands on him, I grabbed my dog (Belg Mal) and went looking for him. My dog is trained and quiet. We found him setting up a tree stand on my property. Yep, got into an argument with him. Yep, he raised his voice to me and yep, he took his finger and poked me in the chest to make a point. My dog didn't like that. My neighbor learnt fear that afternoon. My dog never bit him. He wouldn't do that unless I told him to. But my neighbor didn't know that. It's been maybe 5 years since we've seen him too. Oh, I've seen him around town but he stays clear. Bullies are the same everywhere.
They're not bullies, they're "COWARDLY BULLIES"!!! You also have restraint, personally I would have let the dog at him at least the first time. If I could prove I did nothing wrong, that is exactly what these low-lives deserve because if they act this way with a person, lord knows what else they are doing-probably torturing animals. You're a better man than me!
Amazing story! Sorry you had to experience that, but good-for-me cuz I needed to hear it! We got that annoying neighbor/family tie and I need your crayon and paper!!!❣️👍⚡
Kudos to ya brother. I hate to admit that it took me over 40 years to chill to level of calmness you display at a much younger age. And yes, our fellow Americans, at large, have little understanding of the true value of life, or honour, they could stand a few lessons, but learning the hard way like some of us have, I'd rather give them a pass...
Thank you for your service. I don't think the story was too long or off subject.Enjoyed the details and the pace. Also enjoyed the ending. God bless you and your family.
Great story dude. I've been having neighbour issues, lately, and found your non-confrontational approach to be refreshing and uplifting. I have a long history with conflict resolution through the work I was doing for more than a decade. I was also in the army and struggle with PTSD. I'm working on a way to get out of urban areas and back to farming, as well, and for the same reasons. It bolsters my confidence to hear from a kindred spirit, so you have gained a subscriber, today!
I wish you all the best with finding peace. Perhaps you could pursue the avenue of getting help with the PTSD before making your move, because the issues could still come up living in the country and there would probably be fewer local resources to get help.
Shirley Briggs at what point did I say that I needed help with PTSD symptoms? I am a health professional, actually, and have a pretty good handle on MY health. The issues I mentioned, as is being discussed in this video, are with a NEIGHBOUR who is behaving badly. Moving to a more rural setting would minimize exposure to people who may not be dealing, effectively, with their own mental health challenges. Cities are rife with these kinds of issues. Therefore, a better place for someone like me, who has seen enough conflict, is outside of major urban areas. Thanks for caring about my life, though, Shirley. You sound just like an old friend of mine!
Bundled Property Rights, is your right to do what you want to do on your property. So if you want to paint your tree Purple with YELLOW poke a dots So Be It. Good luck you bought and you have those rights. Post it " THIS PROPERTY PROTECTED BY BUNDLE PROPERTY RIGHTS"

If the world had more of you and a hell of a lot less Mr. J's, imagine the tranquil beauty we could be surrounded with, it could be an amazing beautiful relationship between people and nature.

@@newguy2794 Sad, but true! The few bad apples wreck it for others. Sorry to hear you have a terrible neighbor problem, too! Hope it gets better and the landlord moves or sells. Great story. Thank you for sharing. As this gentleman.. ahem... is on disability, he was probably more afraid that he would lose it as the supposed film of him would prove that he was capable of work. Congratulations on taking care of a pesky neighbour. We've all had them!
Omg, this is almost my life now, vet husband and the most unkind neighbors I've ever encountered. I'm glad to have found you! Thank you for your service! Beautiful land, beautiful soul, I'm going to buy crayons.
I like the way you put not wanting conflict. I personally have never been in the military but feel to an extent I have been fighting everyone all the time for most my life and finally have got to a point where I hate conflict.

I still have my nightmares but I fiercely protect what I own and care about . Im still in therapy but at least I've stopped drinking and still attend AA meetings twice a week. Gob bless you and your family !
This fake disabled loser is upsetting to every honest person out there. The safety net is for real issues, not to be milked. In the end the person is fat and runs his mouth because no one will listen to him cause he accomplished nothing. Letting him live on is the worst punishment!
I hate to say it, but I think he didn't come back because he thought you had video evidence of something that he's done. Which means you might actually want to get security cameras, don't know if he watches your video's or not.
Yeah, video cameras don't cost that much and are worth the money spent. Generally video cameras don't stop crime, ask anyone who works in a convenient store, but the cameras increases the likelyhood of arrest, and imprisonment. They make good evidence.
@@harishuskic7270 I used to work in a convenience store. Was robbed three times there. One guy shoved me back and grabbed the drawer full of money. We were taught to let them have the money but because he shoved me, I reacted. I slapped the drawer of money out of his hand and the money fell to the ground. His shoving me back set off the silent alarm. I had an alarm button under my shirt. Another robbery a guy came in with his shirt over his face, yelling give me the money over and over. I was not behind the counter but instead cleaning the store. He was standing between me and the cash register. I was not going to walk closer to him to give him the money. So yell over and over get out of here. He left after me yelling long enough to get out of here. The third robbery got money but not that much. He had his hand in his pocket and said he had a gun. It look more like a knife. He got a little more that $26.00 plus a small bag of groceries including tampons. He and the guy who drove the car went to jail. Police said they were drug users. He had robbed another store where he had pulled out a kitchen knife. The girlfriend of the guy who drove the car would come in crying because her boyfriend was in prison on Valentine's day and blamed his incarceration on us. She was not very bright. None of them were.
Thanks so much for your service and sacrifices for our country. I'm glad you survived and have a beautiful piece of land and a lovely wife. Much respect to you.
I really enjoyed this especially when you got off topic. It is good to think outside the box with remedies like this. I had a girl at work that was on my case frequently. One day I was told "You know you will eventually have to face this situation". Well I really did some praying and came up with a solution. The next time she jumped me about something I said "I wish you would get a life and get out of mine I am just someone your work with". That was all it took.
Next time just calmly take out your cell phone, start the camera, slowly point it at the person and say, what? could you repeat that? To this kind of person, a camera is like kryptonite to superman.
Robert B hahaha right. The amount of times that I would pull my phone out in one hand and turn my left sides towards person and tell them the video is just incase I need to prove I shot you in self defense continue your issue with me what was that ? Lol the shocked look on people's faces realizing I am 6'8 with also a gun on me recording so they know I'm willing to pull that trigger but my ass will be covered for God and my family need me in the free world to continue my journey .
Are you kidding me?!?!? You're trying to say you're disabled when you have a video on your channel where you removed the seats out of a Toyota. Just so you can HIKE the Appalachian's? Isn't this the pot calling the kettle black? I hope lighting strikes you in the f'n asshole and fuses your spine together.
@@madjack5002 I went to his video. You are absolutely correct, "Victory on the Trail" is also an apparent crook receiving undeserved disability awards!!!
I haven’t gone to victory on the trail’s channel, and frankly what is or isn’t on there doesn’t matter one rip because this is less about them than it is about those who can’t seriously be so ignorant as to think that a person on disability who actually legitimately can’t support themselve’s fully without that help is a drain on society? If so, You are living very sheltered lives. There’s a whole lot of messed up out there and I’ve seen someone’s disability check, they don’t get much at all, a boy mowing lawns full time would make more than them. No wonder Jesus cries for his people!
@@AWoodworkersLife Can you read? You certainly can't put together an intelligent paragraph about people committing fraud and siphoning off valuable disability resources. You're also a moron.
I think my favorite similar story was the 20 acres my parents owned when I was growing up. The neighboring property was used every year for crops and the guy planted over my parents right-of-way to their property as well and never asked. No big deal, we had adequate access from the other piece of property so we let it go. The guy also planted on the county right-of-way too, which nobody cared because it benefited this guy, and didn't hurt anybody, so again, no harm, no foul. Then an 18 wheeler had to make a delivery and had stopped because he could not make the turn with the long trailer. My dad drove 18 wheelers for 20+ years and he and a neighbor assured the guy that he was OK to make the turn, even though it would smash some of the crop that was on the county right-of-way - which legally he should not have been using. Later that day the guy saw the damaged crop and went ballistic. My dad tried to calm the guy down and be polite, but the man started cursing up a storm in front of my dads wife & kids (my brother and me). My dad asked him not to use language like that in front of his wife and kids and the guy kept on going. My dad told the guy if he didn't calm down and stop using foul language around his wife and kids, that he and the neighbors may stop allowing him to use land that didn't belong to him for growing crops and that he would cut down the crops in his driveway right-of-way. The jerk kept on, so my dad just got in the truck and left. He contacted a surveyor and had the driveway plotted out, and the county easement, then got the tractor and bushog and mowed down everything that wasn't on the guys property, put in a driveway and eventually a fence on both sides so the guy couldn't drive over our driveway. The jerk called the police and they came out, looked over the situation, spoke to my dad and got the earful of what happened. When it was all said and done the police told the guy not to plant on the county property, to stop harassing his neighbors regarding the 18 wheeler running over the count right-of-way, and told the guy to watch his mouth around our family or he would charge him. My dad always used his farm tractor to level out the road and smooth out potholes in the dirt road, even past our driveway...he simply added mowing the county easement several times a year as the guy (tried) to continue planting on the county right-of-way. The jerk finally sold the property a few years later and we ended up with some proper neighbors.
Some places have had public decency laws. Being charged could be possible. Of course, with time and money, you should be able to have such local ordinances struck down. Most people do not want to invest their personal resources in such endeavors, however.
I am sad that you have had to see and experience those things. I once dated a man who was a retired NYC police officer, he showed me photos of some crime scenes he worked that were absolutely horrible. I truly believe that I shocked him when my response was how terrible it was that he had to endure seeing and experiencing such things and I told him how badly I felt for him to have such memories. I got the impression that others did not respond at all the way I did when he showed them those same photos. Unfortunately, some people seem to think everything is imaginary play; they have no idea of what really goes on in the world around them and what has to be done to keep them safe and free. God Bless You and Your Family and Thank You for your service.
Behemoth, I truly find that shocking! Were you all not married while you were in the service? I'm just godsmacked that a serviceman's *wife* would see fear in certain situations and not know what's truly going on inside his head! *Especially* a husband who's a *war vet*! Maybe you *should* tell her a couple of stories of what you've been through, what you've seen, what you've *done*. Then *she* may feel fear, and in turn, have proper respect for her husband. ~Elizabeth P
Dont tell him just do it send him copies with a note that reads the next copies go to the state social services offices and the social security office with his name and address and his mothers address on it just in case he used her address.
Just like half this country...and 99 out of 100 miscreants where I (sadly) live - NY! My husband & I saved enough to buy our home, 8 years ago - NY real estate is obscenely overpriced, as are the taxes. The first day we moved in, I had the misfortune to meet my loud-mouthed, illiterate neighbor, her boyfriend (she'd been thru' a couple, before she finally moved) & her not-too-bright, unruly, but basically good kids. Within the first 10 minutes of conversation, I learned she was receiving food stamps (EBT card) and her 2 teenaged girls were on SSI, for being learning disabled. Because she saved all that money on food & the govt (my husband, I & the other neighbors) was paying her mortgage, I got to watch her go shopping twice a week & even got stuck signing for her FedEx packages from Bloomingdales & Macy's, until I told the poor delivery guy I wasn't willing, any longer. Her last boyfriend got into a car accident (with his ESCALADE) and wound up with a hefty settlement...funny how parasitic trash ALWAYS finds a way to win a lawsuit...and he & my welfare trash neighbor bought a huge house, not too far away, with an inground pool! haha It seems like THEY'RE the smart ones - they live the good life while people like us work our fingers to the bone & pay the bills...ours AND theirs. Welfare recipients used to be embarrassed - when my Pop split from my Mother, she was on it for a short while, when I was little, but we were embarrassed. It's what got us OFF of it so fast!!
First, thank you for service. I stumbled on this vlog and I was instantly intrigued. You have the art of storytelling. I'm glad that's the approach you took 😉
No! If he is defrauding people for free "entitlements" you didn't insult his or embarrass him. He is likely beyond all sense of shame or dignity. Just a slug who slimes up the lives of those around him!
I wish u were my neighbor. We live in the country also. And only try to keep the peace however we have a neighbor who says she likes to live in the country but wants to treat us all like we live in the city limits. She will kill a rooster because it crows. Now she's threatening to take my dog away if she catches it in her yard one more time the little dog weighs 20 lb and only wanders over there once in awhile because her property backs up to mine.
Sadly, some people suck the air from the room with behaviors worse than most dogs. Not likely pleased with a castle by the sea if the gulls follow the fish they thrive on. I once had a neighbor who could not figure out why our adjoined gardens didn't thrive at one end. After his passing, the land changed hands a few times then a new guy uses the place as a rental. He allowed a tenant to park an old truck next to his garage and it gets snowed in, here in Maine. Once snow blocks you in, it takes a great about of work to get it out, so I left it until spring. With the way cleared, I took a case of beer to the tenant and said it is time to move his truck from my land and he threw a tantrum. I took back the beer and checked with the authorities. I wrote the landlord who within a week had the truck in their driveway, but disputed that it was my land. Eventually he conceded it was mine. With no interest in a garden, he continued the plowing of snow to my side. Its just water, right? Now that he erected a fence, he could not push snow to my side and the grass that grows there now is somehow greener. He also has to figure out how to haul off the snow as he just created a very nice paved parking lot for staff and customers. Then I realized that for 25 years any road salt likely collected from city plowing was pushed to my side as each owner/tenant cleared the drive. From a family of mostly farmers, I am a terrible one. I have a tomato hedge where I can't see the soil below or one plant ends and another begins, except for the size of cherry verses a Better Boy and my Okra plants that are no higher than the longest pods could be. I am not gloating, but sometimes it is nice to see a someone aggressive person paint themselves into a corner! I think the daycare is great. I hear kids and laughter in a fenced in playground and security lights that help me when in my yard as I am twice his age. Taking your finest cobbler over to your neighbor as a peace offering doesn't sound like a solution. Perhaps an electronic "Invisible Fence" is the better way as she wants her seclusion by at least intimidation. Please note My sister in law used to take her dog for a walk on her street. Before long, "Freckles" died and his blood sample had a banned pesticide in his system. I understand the EPA checked the area and found the yard as most banned chemical have a long effect on the land. Perhaps the chemical was intended only for a pest free yard, or a deterrent to others who walks their dogs there from even coming around or both. With what you described, she may not be thinking friendly thoughts about you or your dog and perhaps a slice of bologna might be her way of getting a message to you that she is not friendly past her makeup mirror!
You do know there are rewards for turning in slime balls who are doing this type of fraud, i'd have recorded him talking about that and then notified the state government of the state he is defrauding and sat back to watch the fun. He would be GONE and you would get a nice check. All state governments take that shit seriously.
My sarcasm was intended to say this guy is not embarrassed as he wanted to get away with it for life, if he could. Sorry if I gave you an impression that I thought this "Slime ball" as you put is had any redeeming characteristics! I was in the Navy when the DOD started cracking down on those who defrauded America like over spec'd $600 toilets seats in aircraft or $300 claw hammers. I'll admit that a 250 lb passenger in a military aircraft with a toilet might get bounced around while conducting his duty and a 1000 lb rating for the seat may be necessary. For a hammer at then prices, the military could but 20 if the high end models were $15! I have been a whistle blower myself, when it came to Medicaid & Medicare dollars. When any government is scammed, their level of government needs reasonable people who are not swayed by association and the capacity to properly investigate and assign the charges. Rewards? Yes! Yet do we really need for Americans to apply for rewards before reporting someone? Some politicians and career civil servants are all to willing to allow fraud to start and/or continue if it fits their ideals, even if is diminishes benefits to Americans who truly do qualify! If it were up to me, this guy scamming the state for a living would be made a bride for a place surrounded with barbed wire for his likely minimum 6 months, plus restitution !
Good story. My friend was telling me he setup surveillance cameras for his buddy (Pat) who noticed diesel going missing from the tank he kept in his yard. The recordings showed it was Pat's neighbor and best friend who would leave a jerry-can behind the tank on his way over to visit each evening. He'd spend an hour or so visiting and having coffee and, on his way back to his own place, he'd fill the jerry-can from the Pat's tank. So Pat put the tape into the video player in the kitchen and set it ready to play, and when the neighbor came over the next evening, he simply said "I will be back in a minute. I have something to do in the yard", pressed Play and walked out. The guy was left sitting in his Pat's kitchen, watching a video of himself stealing the diesel. They never talked about it, and stayed friends but the diesel theft obviously stopped. I thought it was an interesting way of handling it
I would had put sugar in the tank and let him steal that sugar diesel mix and I would laughed so hard when he would had told me that his engine seized up.

@@user-ll7fv6tu7k you're way off base implying American women are entitled. Is that all you got out of this story? It's clear to me that you are nothing but a racist, bigoted, piece of shit...
Respect for how you handled your annoying neighbor issue..you deserved all the peace you can get after all those years of service. Thank you!
You're a saint. Annoying neighbors make good fertilizer.
There are people in this world that love conflict. Even when you mind your business, they find a way to disrupt your peace. You handled this better than I would have. I would still get a few cameras just incase.
this is so true. i mind my own business. . . and people still annoy me... just because I don't want to interact with them.
Not only that, but the worst part is when you do mind your own business...they will spread lies about you that are not true and next thing you know the other neighbors act differently around you
I know it sucks, but i can totally relate to what you're saying and this is what I am dealing with right now
A pair of awesome headphones work really well to cancel out their disruptive force
If ever there was a legitimate reason to whip someone’s ass, this story qualifies. Kudos to you for maintaining your composure.
Great comment 😁👏
I know man. honestly being an annoying douchebag isn't illegal but it should be. some people just need an a** whoopin but unfortunately it's not the wild west and you can't just do that. too bad because I'm certain that would 'fix' a lot of annoying idiots like this
Great video - he may be worried that you have cctv proof that he isn’t sick or injured and the state payouts may stop ! You are obviously a respectful and good person. Stay well !
You didn’t embarrass mr.j. He did it to himself. You’re a good person, and thank you for your service!
I feel bad you had to go through all that disfunctionalism with your neighbor. God bless you for being so peaceful. You have a beautiful property. I wish you continued peace.
Your attitude and approach can change the world for better. If it just does in the USA its a major achievement
Exactly said thanks
@@debbieflaherty1975 I'd give that a yes!!!
Wonderful idea.
Thanks to both of you for your service mates from Queensland Australia. I was a cook in the Australia Army 🇦🇺
Early in our marriage, we visited my mother-in-law. I found her so overbearing, difficult and so on. I had a hunch that she was snooping in our suitcase. When we went out for a walk, I left a paper saying,” HI HELEN!”
I knew she got caught, she was so red-faced and quiet

Hahaha ha 😆
Get on with it, we know you are an ex veteran.
We recently bought property to start a little homestead and I have a very similar neighbor. I am definitely biding my time to determine how best to deal with it, with as little conflict as possible. Thanks for sharing your story!
Best to ignore them . Don't bring cookies or wave. Stay as far away as possible.
@@James_the_Builder how do you stay away from neighbors? Especially when their noise invades your personal space?
Dealing with the same situation, trespass, lectures, entitlement, moving things around when Im not on the property. Its been over two years. Ive resorted to cameras. They were sabotaged. I also do not want conflict in my paradise. Thank you for your story, its helped me. Going to give it a try. Wish me success too.
How has it gone? I do wish you success!
@tutsecret499 in your situation I would put the camera in the window inside and then deal with it.
“Have crayon, will travel” lol
Thank you for your service! I'm sorry it took so long for people to appreciate your sacrifice and service.
Thank you for your service as well 🇺🇸 🙏🏻
time for cameras my friend ! And thank you for your service sir!
Whose taking our freedom? Or wants to? What are you talking about? Every war we've fought the past several decades was about money not freedom.
that is the one thing you worry about when moving to a new location, will we have good neighbors, or crazy ones. you had a crazy one, albeit 4 miles away, but you discovered what his kryptonite was.
Thank you for your service to our country.
Thank you for sharing. Not something I would have thought of to handle the situation but a great remedy.
By the way Thank You for your service to this great country.

I think the neighbor is afraid to lose his disability cheque if he is seen on camera busy harassing you, good job!
Don't feel bad , our country needs more good people like you. God Bless you and your family.
You handled this very well. That’s how to deal with a malignant narcissist. They fear exposure. ❤️🇺🇸

That is the best story I've heard in a lot time. Good for you
A "BEWARE OF DOG" sign works wonders especially when you have no dog. They think the dog is hiding and waiting for them to make a move.
Not in this guy's case. Cause then Mr.J would put the dog in the shed or look for one.
How much was he exposed to the dog before messing with it? If he knew the dog would be docile he would have no qualms about bothering it. But an unseen dog...? If you ran into a BOD sign and didn't see a dog would you chance it?
Good Lord get to the point
I found that "BEWARE of DOGS" sign, worked really well, they never know how many dogs. They don't want to find out.
@@IDNHANTU2day the dog can't bite someone if there is no dog.
Glad you came out on the winning end of that one, brother. And thank you for your service.
YEA!!😍💪 I bet they wish they were back in time being good😷😇
Hi buddy, Jamie from the United Kingdom here, thought your video was fantastic, calm.relaxed and enjoyable.

Kudos to ya brother. I hate to admit that it took me over 40 years to chill to level of calmness you display at a much younger age.
BaronHalcyon dang me too!

Yep, even if the perp doesn't watch this channel, someone he knows might.
Jen Bur ask those same people working in convenient stores if their would be more crime without cameras allowing bad guys to feel invincible.

I used to work in a convenience store.

The jerk finally sold the property a few years later and we ended up with some proper neighbors.
sounds like my neighbor

Cool Story....I doubt however, the police can do anything about "Foul Language" unless of course you do not live in a free country.
Some places have had public decency laws. Being charged could be possible. Of course, with time and money, you should be able to have such local ordinances struck down. Most people do not want to invest their personal resources in such endeavors, however.
Some people are never content. Welp that showed him.
Thanks for the story! My wife always says I am afraid of confrontation, she has no idea of what I have seen.
Also... thank you for your service as well! Thank you thank you so much!

Get to the point......man!
J & B Homeliving hah! Good one!
Great story Raymond, not sure if I would still be good friends, could reimburse the amount he stole (nicked)
🇬🇧
haha, great way to get it done with little conflict, subtle, with evidence, done!
Thank you for your service. If you bought the land - you own it , period.

That was a brilliant solution. Thank you for sharing. You do have a beautiful view ❤️
the most passive aggressive local doxxing ive experienced in a while, good on you, was entertaining and he deserved it
thank you for serving and your neighbors stance is null and void. he got served.
You've got beautifully expressive hands and it's so refreshing to hear a man speak so lovingly of their wife👍
Mutual respect and treatment gets mutual love. This is lost on most modern marriages.
I was thinking the same thing, what lovely hands and nails! He seems like a very cool guy.
That's so crazy I was noticing the same things his wife is very lucky!
Notice he said she's Filipino. American women aren't what they used to be. They are entitled and he made clear that's one thing he can't stand.
@@user-ll7fv6tu7k you're way off base implying American women are entitled. Is that all you got out of this story? It's clear to me that you are nothing but a racist, bigoted, piece of shit...
Incredible self restraint brother. Note sure that I could have handled it as well.
