Hall of Fame worthy lineup …. Sammy is almost 77 years old and can still pull it off. All these guys have the money and don’t have to do this but they do. Appreciate greatness while you still can 🤘🏼
I was there and it was an amazing show! All these guys have still got it and then some! I appreciate them for the tour. This one was for the fans for sure.
Joe's definitely got the chops, but he's still working his ass off up there trying to recreate what seemed to come naturally to Ed. Plus, Ed was dancing, spinning, and hopping all over...without missing a note. Don't get me wrong. I love this tribute, and long overdue. Wish I could make it to one of these shows.
I felt like he did his homework, especially w/the varied tones to recreate the sound. Satriani isn't laboring at all just being respectful imo by not adding in all the runs and extra links he could. Eddie was one of a kind and Satch is one of the very few who could have done this properly. Quite frankly I was very impressed w/how accurate his notes were.
@@klyoun1 I agree with you, and Joe is probably one of a very select few that could do the job. I just feel he's a little stiff recreating Eddie's performances. Maybe it comes from trying to do someone else's material. Lord knows he's not like this while surfing, or boogie-ing. Plus spinning and hopping is a young man's game...Ed wasn't doing the hop his last several years of performances, either...
Its like watching a good cover band. Not Sure why they drum kit has a Led Zepplin member on it? But with all the backing tracks and high quality equipment they could do a better job with Sams vocals.
@@morselarielleand Alex VH was a huge John Bonham fan as well, they used Led Zep producer Andy Johns for the big drum sound Alex wanted on For Unlawfuk Carnal Knowledge
If you knew anything about this you would know that the drummer, Jason, is John Bonho’s son. John was the drummer for Led Zeppelin and influenced Alex Van Halen greatly. Covers Band? 😂😂😂😂 Professionals with years of experience kicking ass and doing an amazing job to celebrate what was the greatest years of my life!
@@AD-ui2pz I didn’t know he had the rights to sing Juno or Panama . I know he did when he was in Van Halen . I was surprised he’s allowed to as a solo artist .
Always been one of my favorite Van Halen songs, and never did I think I’d see it played live. I was at this show, had a great time!
First time I watched it since that night. I thought they killed it. Glad to see it was confirmed. Wow great seeing.

I know its not Ed but Joe is doing an amazing job and I think Ed would be proud.Awesome job guys
Yes. A tribute to Eddie!
Joe is better!
@@timackerman4689It's not a competition.
I was there down front!!! One bad ass show. Thanks to the guys for doing this. Brought back many memories from my youth and teen years. RIP EVH
Satch would be my first only choice to pull this off and he did!!!! Job well done!

Jason's drumming is great. I forget it's him. They got the sound correct, too.
IMO. Jason has really dug in.
Sounds fantastic
I was there...a dream come true
Me too. It would be better if it didn't rain later on. Good show by the way.
Best Audio and Video so far on youtube from this tour 🎉🎉🎉 Good Job Dude
Thanks! I'm sure some better will come out but very cool for you to say...EVH Forever!
Satch even standing like Eddie there for a minute 👍👍👍👍
Joe is a better musician than EVH.
@@brownj2 not in my opinion…… Eddie will always be the best
Awesomeness

Of the VH tunes, this one I felt Satch did the best - the guitar sound and parts even if the solo was different
I couldn’t make it through this. There’s just no replacing Eddie.
CHICKENFOOT….
Never cared for that song. I would have gone with Satchel.

That Led Zeppelin members face is John Bonham. Jason, the drummer in the video is his son.

Stupidest comment this week. Ffs.
I didn’t think Sammy had the rights to play the older Van Halen stuff …..
not true - Mike sings Ain’t Talkin Bout Love and Sammy does the usual old VH tunes Panama and Jump he always did
