When I got to sit in my electric wheelchair on stage at one of Sammy's concerts he came over and said hello 2x during the show and patted me on the shoulder. :) Cej, quadriplegic of 35 years.
Such a nice Van Hagar song. Despite my being in a small minority, I like the Sammy Van Halen, which was the most melodic Van Halen, & it is my favorite Van Halen iteration. Thanks, Richard

For a specific era, Roth's voice was great. The difference is that Hagar's voice is *evergreen!* He's the gift that *keeps on* giving. He's never lost his decorum *or* his vocal ability, and I'm quite convinced he never will. Simply put, Sammy Hagar is the *Undefeated & Undefeatable World Champion of Rock & Roll!*

I like how he just moved on from VH and kept doing what he does, while the brothers faded into irrelevance. It's like Sam and Mike were the only adults in the band. Chickenfoot! The Circle. I'm amazed that he is 66 when this was recorded. He looks and sounds like he's 36.
Sammy continues to impress. Whether solo or with Van Halen he has and continues to make great music! And he gets better with age! Amazing! Keep on rocking!!

I think the lyrics were an inspiration from Sammy being in the band and situation of his dreams, coming from living a tough childhood and getting kicked out of Montrose a great band in their own right. Bless you Sammy.
