This is the best splitter I've ever seen. The splitter has phenomenal power and the log lift is the icing on the cake. Excellent machine and excellent demonstration.
Dang, now that’s a log splitter! Very excited to hear it’s an American made product. We all need to support American businesses (especially small businesses) as much as we can. Given all of the wood you’ve been acquiring lately you’ll definitely put that splitter/processor through its paces!
Great video. Last year, my wife and I met the owners of American Logsplitters. They were super nice and spent 15-20 minutes with us, showing off their equipment. Not only did I notice how well-built their splitters were, but I also noticed how reasonably-priced they were. Looking forward to more logsplitter videos and every other project that you and your wife get into.
That machine is a beast. So glad you got it and even more happy that you are partnering with Mr. Larry. You're still picking those rounds up though. I hope on the bigger rounds you start using the small tractor. Your lower back will thank you for it. Can't wait to see the other things you will be demonstrating for Mr. Larry.
@5150cash Hey Cash, Andrew's got his hands full right now it looks like, but I'm committed to making it down there sometime soon. It would be my honor to help him with some firewood. Hope you're doing well, my friend!
Larry and his wife are awesome people, I had the privilege of talking with them last year at Paul Bunyan. Can't wait to watch this splitter in action more.
All-in on that American made machine! That tall wedge looks like the answer for those huge rounds you deal with. Thank you for promoting USA manufacturing 🇺🇸🇺🇸
I'm all for supporting small business and USA made, sadly it's getting hard to do with lack of production here. Especially with electronics and similar equipment.
That thing is incredible. I split with a sledge and wedge, all spruce. Luckily it’s only for recreational fires for the family. It’s enough that I can appreciate how useful that machine can be for someone that splits lots of wood.
It really would have helped if you told us how much your particular splitter cost for reference. The log splitter website has no prices listed which can sometimes make buyers move to the next manufacturer.
I absolutely understand that and I've talked with Mr Larry about updating the website. Me posting prices is something I don't want to do. You might ask for completely different accessories, modifications and have different shipping. That can easily swing the price a few thousand one way or another. A quick phone call can get you the most accurate pricing.
My goodness! I didn't know how satisfying it was going to be watching that log splitter push through those logs like a hot knife through butter. You are going to be doing some serious log splitting now! You needed that to make a dent in that log pile.
Nice Machine!! Build yourself a chute from the catch pans into your tote to help make you more efficient. Keep things moving, let the logs push the split wood for you.
Wow... that thing is a beast Andrew.. 🎉... I think the processing barn is a great idea, and should definitely help you get more productive when it gets warm down here!!!
Wow! that big round looked like some sort of outriggers may be needed when it gets more permanently situated. Are you going to have a overhead crane or trolley to move those monster logs around your new building? Great to see American made! Good episode.
found you guys about 2 months ago and have seen about 550 vidios so far and just saw my first live stream live you guys are great keep up the good work
Just a little correction as to the location of American CLS. It is not in Upstate NY, rather it is in the Finger Lakes Region or more commonly referred to as Western NY. It is located in Honeoye, right at the tip of Honeoye Lake, one of the beautiful Finger Lakes. The heart of Farm and vineyard country !
I’ve found that an easier way to clear rust etc is to use your favorite cleaner in conjunction with a drill and abrasive pad (like a green non metal pot scrubber). Thanks for the tip on the cleaner. I’ll be on Amazon shortly to get some. We enjoy your channel and the effort you put into your projects. The video and audio and narratives are first rate. Good luck on future ones and keep them coming!!
WOW! thats slick as snot! I would say needing a bit of counter weight or on a solid surface to prevent any jerking, and the lift is tremendous but indeed that giant round could have just plopped off the side, this is so awesome!
Nice splitter. I bet you've already made this adjustment, but move your tote to more to the operator's side instead of directly to the front of your splitter. This way you don't have to step around the machine to stack your firewood. Second, you may want to look at fabricating some outriggers. Maybe a suggestion for the owner as an option. When you were lifting some of those logs (especially that massive log), the hydraulics had no problems with the load, but I was worried about the stability of the machine, and the potential for it to tip.
With the big mill shutting down, is it going to open some doors for the local people to start processing wood? My first thought when I heard this news was that a few guys need to team up and set up a small privately owned sawmill.
Very nice splitter Andrew. It appears the one you have is a left handed operations. I didn't see on their website if you could get them either left/right handed or not. You may want to pass along to them if they could put some pricing on their website, at least each models "starting at" price. I know their custom specked, but at least the consumer would know what the "base" price is starting out. Looks like a great splitter and great to know they are made in America. Can't wait to see you doing more videos with it.
Wow that’s pretty nice! I just bought one from a big box store this morning! It’s supposedly made by Oregon, hopefully it will serve me well. Congratulations
No doubt the new splitter is much faster than your old one. There is still a ton of manual labor that goes into splitting wood. As the owner of a long time bad back I can't stress enough that you need to be very careful with those large rounds. Congratulations on getting into a relationship with another American made equipment. Looks like you found a good company to associate yourself with. Of course they have a great spokesman now in you too!
Because of your review, I'm going to pick one up at their factory(about 3.5 hrs) in a few days. Larry was extremely helpful even though he was on the way to the Paul Bunyan Show in Ohio. No more renting for me!
So glad to hear that, Larry has sold me on his company and commitment over the last few months while designing my splitter. Please let him know that you heard about him from our channel. What model did you go with?
Just a suggestion but I'd turn either the splitter or your crate. I see how you were always having to step around the tongue of the splitter to stack the wood.
By the way the tongue slides underneath. I forgot to pin it and it vibrated out. You for sure want it on that end as it's balanced and easy to lift. The other end is extremely heavy and I'd never be able to maneuver it around.
Finally a log lift on the other side!! I’m right handed and would much rather push the controls with my left and handle the woof with my right. Seems like an awesome splitter.
Love your new 'man toy' as my brother-in-law would call this (man toy....any tool a man wants to do things better and can put on a want list to receive instead of new socks, shirts or an occasional tie....lol) 'Man toys' don't have to be large things either, but are great for Christmas and birthday lists or just because.
That is an awesome machine. That is a really good working height. Question are you not worried about a piece of wood falling and hit the green wire for your battery. I feel like that should be better protected.
That machine is a beast!!! I know you said you are going to make a working shed for you to work in does that mean you’ll be keeping your cut wood in the shed too? Tfs and God bless:)
That is a crazy operation you are running. You might have to hire a high schooler to do some of the heavy lifting for yah. Growing up in the city, I would've learned alot from you as a teen
My first reaction was like those old pace, picante salsa commercials “😮🤔New York City?🤔” lol. It looks pretty busy, I like it How it’s like things that are beefy and kind of over built.

Please contact Mr Larry at American CLS, link is in the description. I don't know his current pricing. Mention you seen it on our show TKCL and he will give you a nice discount on the quotes.
Call them, these can be custom built with all kinds of options. Price varies greatly depending on how you set yours up. Mr Larry will have you a quote quickly after you tell him the options you want.
Nice looking machine..I would only have looked into a way to dampen that muffler sound...it's loud to be hearing that all day..or heavy duty hearing protection. Don't be like me and can't hear at 59 yrs old from yrs of random excessive noise.
Nice splitter... There are others like this however, so nothing outstanding, sorry.... That thing is, what? $15K. If he undercuts the others enough it will drive traffic to him.
That's right along the lines that I thought you would get, simple but with all the features that matter most and American made is one of those features 🪓
Yeah I'm not interested in one of those high dollar fancy processors or other types of equipment. Main wants was a log lift, multiple wedges and well built. This fits the bill and then some.

I need to get forks, a rake or something else for that small tractor to help with lifting.
Great looking splitter, Andrew. Sounds like a company it'd be easy to support. USA! Can't wait to see more.
I'm happy to support him, we've had excellent conversations over the last few months.
@TKCL That goes a long way, in my opinion. Good customer service is priceless nowadays.
@@dougdavis4439 howdy Mr Doug...... when are we going to see you and Andrew on a video splitting firewood or even fishing 🤷🏽♂️🤔🤔

I split as a kid with a wedge and maul, I totally understand.
The "A" in the front of the log splitter is for Andrew! Catch you in the livestream tonight at 7PM EST!
Lol yes! See you then
i thought that was for america! lol
All the above

That looks like a heavy duty log splitter. I see your firewood production should increase. Congratulations on your new toy. That machine is a beast.
We should for sure be able to process a lot more wood.
Andrew, Another excellent video. We look forward to seeing the 3-point log splitter as this is something we were recently discussing. Keep 'em coming.
Coming soon, I'm curious about it myself.
My goodness! I didn't know how satisfying it was going to be watching that log splitter push through those logs like a hot knife through butter. You are going to be doing some serious log splitting now! You needed that to make a dent in that log pile.
Don't forget your hearing protection. That sounds like a beast!
Yes, my production just dramatically increased. I do have ear buds in, I don't like listening to motors.
Nice Machine!! Build yourself a chute from the catch pans into your tote to help make you more efficient. Keep things moving, let the logs push the split wood for you.
That or a conveyor, really want one of those.

Great video. Thank you. I'm a old lady but I love spilting wood. Very interested in this.
A lot of videos coming soon!
Very interesting! You're right - I hadn't heard of this splitter brand before.
I was surprised, especially after hearing the business was started in the late 60s
Oh my, you have some giant logs to split, but the new splitter makes light work of them! See you tonight on the live stream!
I sure do have a lot of work ahead of me.
Wow! that big round looked like some sort of outriggers may be needed when it gets more permanently situated. Are you going to have a overhead crane or trolley to move those monster logs around your new building? Great to see American made! Good episode.
That's an excellent idea for the overhead crane. I really do need to build that.

Oh boy!
Hi Andrew, that is one heavy duty splitter, very impressive. Goes through that wood like butter.❤️❤️👍👍🇨🇦
It sure does!
So glad you found that company. Only worried about your back when carrying that wood for splitting, take care.
You now need a grapple on your small tractor to load the large rounds. Very impressed.
That would be perfect!
I’ve found that an easier way to clear rust etc is to use your favorite cleaner in conjunction with a drill and abrasive pad (like a green non metal pot scrubber).

It's got a wide stance on the wheels, I didn't see it attempting to lift but that's something I'll pay attention to.
Awesome! I can’t wait to see the tractor splitter.
Working on getting that out soon. Thanks for watching.
With the big mill shutting down, is it going to open some doors for the local people to start processing wood? My first thought when I heard this news was that a few guys need to team up and set up a small privately owned sawmill.
Maybe so, but this mill took small pulp wood. Not wood for milling.
Hopefully you’ll demo one of their smaller conveyors. I see Mike Morgan, and that was a game changer for him
A conveyor is for sure on my future list, no doubt it will speed up. The process.
