Big thank you this will save me a lot of time when detailing my vehicle. I just need one to stop the boot from opening as I've had a few close calls and almost had my head knocked off🤯
Excellent, thanks for the feedback. I assume you have gesture control on the boot? I turned this off for the same reason, the fob button works well for that and saved some embarrassment! Thanks again
@Basil Gajica It would be amazing if it could be done without the hazards on. Kind of pointless otherwise. I rather just get in and lower it with the buttons inside.
Good point, I’ve tried both methods, car running jumping in and out, no engine running hazards on. I’m of the opinion that having your hazards on for an hour or so is less costly or inconvenience than running your engine for this time. In my opinion! Thanks
@@agentbarnesgb But you don't need to have the engine on for 1 hour. You can turn the car on, lower or raise it, and then turn the car off and it'll stay in that position. Having the hazards on will drive me crazy after 5 minutes.. haha! 😅. But whatever works best for you, of course!
Thanks that’s a good point, I guess it’s just what works for you is fine. My video was just about the fact it’s capable of doing this rather than what’s best. Thanks again and all the best
But you can’t do this without the hazards on right? Wish there was some way to sort it out without having to turn hazards on to help get the kids/oldies in on access height. Would be great if hitting the unlock button as you approach the car places it into the access mode.
Hi, Thanks for watching the video and taking time to comment. As far as i'm aware there isn't a way of doing this whilst stationary without the hazards on, my 2016 goes to access heights as soon as i park up, allowing easy access to anyone getting in our out, with or without the engine on. Do you have a setting for auto access height? What year is your vehicle? i know that access height was manual on cars around 2014-15. If i can help you further please let me know. Thanks again.
If your windows are down and roof is open you can press n hold the door lock and it will close the roof and raise the windows without starting the vehicle
It’s called global close and is set in the car menu if you press and hold for the outside and car is locked you can also global open, handy in summer to let some of the heat out! Just make sure your batteries are in good condition as all this takes a lot of juice so need either a charger left on now and then to maintain battery charge or do a long drive to top the battery back up
Hi, thank you, glad you enjoyed the video. I’m not sure what year they introduced this technique sorry, but it’s worth a try if you have air suspension? You don’t need the engine running, just have your hazard lights flashing and then follow my procedure with the key fob. Hopefully this will work for you. Great to hear from you if it does. Thanks again. Agentgb
Hi and thanks for leaving a comment, sorry this didn’t work for you but thanks for sharing your experience. Best regards and thanks for watching from North America.
Have never owned a RR before and its about time for car shopping. I have a question for RR owners out there and hopefully you guys can help me decide. Ive spotted a 2016 RR Sport td6 with 55k miles selling for $38k, I love its look (exterior and interior) and really want to pull the trigger on this one, but then my mind keeps telling me to just go with 2018 Ford Explorer Sport trim that is about 30-40k miles, of course the same price. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot
Hi there. Thanks for leaving a comment. May I suggest you join one of the Range Rover Sport Facebook groups, there are a few out there, some based in the UK but have overseas members. I’m not familiar with the Ford Explorer but I’m sure other members on the group that are will give you some good advice. Thanks again for watching my video, from my point of view, the RRS is one of the best cars I’ve ever owned, not without its issues! But like every other car I’ve owned before it, so no worse. All the best👍
Hi is it possible to keep the car in a fixed height setting? I like it being high (not as high as max) but I much prefer it being higher than standard?
HI, i believe it is possible but not sure if this requires some additional coding, maybe ask the question through one of the Facebook RRS groups, i have seen this topic on there but i cant help you i'm sorry.
Hi I’m sorry I’m not sure, if the Evoque has air suspension then it could be possible but I don’t think they do, we had a 2016 Evoque before this Sport and it had fixed coil suspension so it wasn’t possible. If you have air suspension then give it a try, nothing to lose👍 thanks for watching the video. Agentgb
Just had a quick look on the owners guide. “The extended mode cannot be selected manually “ which I assume means not with the key fob, although it does state “raising the vehicle with a jack may also cause the vehicle to enter into extended mode” I’ll assume it’s not possible with the key fob sorry.
Is it bad to play with air suspension ? I just bought the same LR and i like to drive it in 2 modes a day, depending on my mood i sometimes raise it to off road height and then i can the same day lower it to normal just to do the same thing the next day, I just want to know if it’s bad for the air suspension in the long term ?
Interesting question, I’m no LR technician so wouldn’t like to give you a definitive answer, all I can tell you, when I went on a LR Off Road training day, nr Skipton North Yorkshire, the LR training guy had us switching the air suspension to numerous settings and driving the car like a bat out of hell! All he kept saying was”don’t worry you won’t break it” if that’s anything to go by I’m sure you’re not doing anything wrong or harmful, but like I said I’m no technician so please don’t take my word for it. Enjoy the car, glad you found the video useful. 👍
Agree ! I also didn’t know this was possible. Have referred to the manual in the past for the odd thing or two but not this. Thanks a lot.

Thanks God I will buy one for myself

Hello range rover friend.
First of all, Thank you for the Great video.
I have a one question. Does it also works for 2011 rrs?

Does NOT work on a 2017 North American RR full size

can you take it to super extended mode?
That’s a good question! I’m not sure, but if I could find out the distance between the wheel and arch in super extended mode I’d give it a go for you.
