I do that with regular thumb stick already by always pushing the stick against the top edge, and this actually gives me 90 degree of turn each side, was hoping this could go full 180 for the precision I want...
One of my favourite controllers for racing (outside a wheel and pedal setup) for consoles was a RC car type controller I had for the PS1. You held it in your secondary hand (left for me) and had the accelerator/break on the "trigger" in a pistol grip and a wheel on the right side that you'd twist to steer. It was fantastic and I wish something like that was available for modern consoles as well.
I loved that one, I still have it. I haven't used it in years, but I was thinking about dusting it off. The last time I used it regularly was for the NFS shift games. This was for pc with the ps1 to usb adapter.
I think id like to see a hand held controller with the wheel in the centre and mild FFB added. this is a nice bit o kit but its waaay over priced and not being able to move the A,B,X,Y buttons is still a deal breaker..... and it looks like a cheap madcatz thing.....
I have buy this controller but the rumble pack left and right are not the same and the program don't allow me to test the sticks. But wow the control of the car are way greater with the special stearing wheel !!
Can Thrustmaster eSwap "with wheel module" for Forza work on eSwap for PS4 version? I had the impression that maybe so, because the dock design is (apparently) the same on both controllers. Do you know if it works?
Theoretically you could. But without personally owning a steering wheel i would recommend going with a steering wheel and pedals instead of this controller. I just dont think this controller really can copete with a steering wheel, exept for ther price. Its just a more exciting feeling playing with steering wheel and pedals. Hope this helped.
Since this comment, I am using it now and, oh my goodness, you can use this as well as a steering wheel and pedals. This controller allows me to play racing simulator games that I was unable to do with the elite controller 2. This controller to me is worth it. Does have a few petty annoyances but, apart from that it is awesome. @MindFlayer03

It's a gimmick, will not make you precise than the standard stick. If you're an avid racing sim fan, just stick to the wheel and pedal setup, and for casual gamers, just stick with the standard stick it will save you money - all it needs is the right setup and muscle memory.

This is literally how I steer with my steam controller. Guess if it finally kicks the bucket I can have something similar.

Does the wheel component function work by normal potentiometer or did Thrustmaster actually go with the better optical reader?

Is it compatible with Forza Horizon 4 as well?
It should be compatible with any game that is compatible with a controller. I am using it on FH4 currently.
