I did what you are doing only without TH-cam and loved everything about it spent many hours and days doing cars up I miss doing that and that's why I love watching your video's I think once anyone as done it ,it's something that sticks with you forever.
I think it's worth saving. If you're not stuck for space, leave it be for now, and come back to it when (if) there's a lul in work. As long as it isn't in the way, it's not costing you anything to sit for a while.
@@nobs40 It's a shitter, but there's still some life in it. I wouldn't spent a huge amount of time or money on it. But if Ben's estimation is right, and 2 solid days would get it right, then surely it's worth saving?
The wife walked in as you were digging the canal tributary for the lake she said what are you watching 😂😂 i said shhh its brilliant 😂😂 , can’t wait for the car out of hedge video…
I’m from a place called Woodridge IL. Good ol USA Been following you for a while and love what you do. Just the honesty of your repairs brings me back to my days as a former knuckle busting jobs in order for the vehicle can get back on the road. If you have merch I would love to support you and hope you can keep bringing these great vehicles back to life
Thanks mate love the states I have family there your car scene is unrivalled! There's a merch link in the video description and we can send it all out to you 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Ben, you have to fix this up! It was my Dad's favourite car. He had a smaller, Sport version. He loved these cars, and he's no longer with us. I watched this knowing it would bring me a lot of nostalgia, then you said you'd got it off a guy named Ray. My dad was called Ray.❤
Would love to see you get that frontera back on the road it's so worth it and I think you would regret not doing it in the future great video as always 👊
I like your sense of humour Ben, if you could turn the Frontera around in two days then go for it any longer than that it wouldn't be economical with everything else you have going on. Take care and see you on the next one, Gareth
Do it! I have fond memories of the old Frontera, had one as a company car years ago and had fantastic fun, taking the kids camping all over the place. Did thousands of miles it that thing, never let us down. Deserves a second chance.
I’d happily watch you get stuck into the Vauxhall, definitely worth doing. Looking forward to seeing the Spitfire transformation. Another cracking video Ben.
Only Ben could possibly call almost an hour long video “short”! Most people get grumpy if their visual gratification takes half an hour and the other channels I watch regularly often apologise if they take more than 25minutes. But I like this arrangement. Even the 2 hour episodes are brilliant, though I do usually have to split those up. If I ever get back to work, my preference may well change, but for now, these epic episodes are grand!
In South Africa, we have had the Isuzu brand for years, with bakkies and trucks...and they are absolutely workhorses with a history of just being reliable. We had this called the Isuzu Frontier and I don't know whom build the Vauxhall units but again we had no significant issues with our Frontier. Anyways, South Africa are the best climate in the world....unlike british wet conditions. Thanks for the awesome videos
Hi Ben, your drainage solutions segment has to be the best 'adjunct' to a serious video since the IKS exploration team started to do cooking videos and attempted to show me how to cook a tin of beans ! (Keep it coming ! 😁)
Needs a proper 2nd grid at the lowest point of the puddle connected with the main drain by a pvc pipe on a slope. Easily done for around £17,000 voila !
To MOT or not.... Just a different MOT. If you order Limestone quarry waste (1 ton.) you will be given 0mm to 50mm ballast to fill that puddle. which is known as MOT. However you can specify 30mm to 50mm stones which is more pervious ballast, as used for railways, and makes better drainage. Well done on the Suez Canal, a friend of mine, who was an Agri-Contractor, said you always have to remove any 'Waterfalls' from canals or ditches, to get the flattest levels. He didn't mention Islands..😀😀😀
YESS please fix this Frontera ! Like you said it is running fine and it is looking still so well, and that is the most important reason to do it, it will make ( again) a very nice long video on this great Channel !!!
Years ago, i'm thinking 2003 or so, my mate had a top of the range Frontera which had full leather seats and all the toys for that time. I'm guessing it was a 2.2 diesel but whatever it was, it was a superb car. I love these things, proper old school. Keep it and resurrect it as only you can Ben 😄😄
I had a 1999 V reg 3.2 V6 Frontera. It was a fun old beast, never let me down and went anywhere! It still lives on today at my mates place. Another mate of mine built these at the IBC factory in Luton and he owned it before me.
They (3.2 V6) are so rare! Yes bring it back on the road please Ben. It's a good looking car and we get another lovely video of you welding and swearing at brake pipes 😆😆
100% worth getting it back on the road. Great content out of it and a very interesting unexceptionable car! Sell the Disco and use it for towing when you need.
Not really into cars but I've done plenty of car repairs over the years from welding, head gaskets and clutches. Ex motorcycle race technician many years ago but now find myself sodding around with RC cars. But, after watching a few of your vids, I got the bug for some bodgery and tinkering. Went out and got a car last Friday cheap off of eBay. Put a new gearbox in it and done various bits of paintwork. I was going to sell it for a quick profit but I'm keeping it now lol. New tyres being fitted tomorrow. Subscribed.
Making watching a puddle drain entertaining is a testament to your capabilities mate, next one we should be treated to some paint drying in time lapse 🤣If you are able to make that funny, I will make a donation in support of it 👍🙃
I personally would enjoy seeing you do the work on the frontera because it's a cracking car and you just don't see many on the road no more so its a BIG YES FROM ME GREAT VIDEO 👍
Absolutely get it back on the road. They're so rare now and it has much potential - and would probably be more reliable than your Discovery! So yeah, do another video welding and fixing it up and then another servicing and tidying it up.
I love the quip about the battery insecurity 😂👍🏻, I used to work at IBC where they produced the Frontera, for old times sake would love to see you get back to this when you have time 👍🏻, if I remember correctly the ladder frame chassis was produced by Thompson, they also supplied Land Rover. Great Video as always 👍🏻
Hi Ben. Sorry for giving yet more know-it-all advice, but if you twat it with the hook of a hammer, it's amazing how fast you can really dig in. Just done my mum's back garden with a hammer. It's not as crazy as it sounds, in fact, it really works. You' could have done that channel deeper in half the time. Give it a go.🔨
I think the brake (and fuel) pipes are among the first things to be put on the shell at factory and are not expected to be items you ever need to replace so they are basically unserviceable - without removing a load of stuff. I once scrapped a decent Primera as I was under the car in the snow (in March) trying to remove the fuel tank to do the brake pipes and the captive-bolt for the tank snapped so I decided to just get rid of the whole thing 😇
Good Morning Ben. Rather liking this Lovely 1990's Vauxhall Frontera, 3.2 V6 Beast of an SUV of a time gone by. Had to laugh at you trying to drain lake geneva, I've recently been watching people in US/Canada breaking beaver dams to drain ponds. It's sad, but intensley satisfying. I need to get out more! LOL!
There are many vehicles i would love to see on this channel..Hillman Imp, CF Bedford van, Commer van..maybe s Wartburg or Moskovic. Even a Thundersley invacar. I would sink so low as to enjoy watching an HA bedford be brought back to life but I suspect most of them would fit in a bin liner by now.
I am going through the same thing with my car at the moment and I have spent 3,000 pounds on it in parts that have already been replaced and now it now needs a air con pump, air con re filling, it's needs new fan belt and timing belt, new coolant temperature sensor and thermostat, it's needs new brake pads also, so I know how your feeling but it's a nice feeling when everything is fixed and back on the road again then you don't have to worry about anything about it anymore, no more worries, you can move on

The time for the tower of power was 10.8 to 60 btw 😂😂
Not bad for an old bus.
Some new inlet manifold gaskets might get it under 9 the engine is isuzu developed originally by Honda

Has to be done Ben....Then lob it round Oulton Park for a giggle!!!🤣
I have always loved the Frontera.
Its shape has aged well and still looks good.
An MOT tester once told me he'd never seen one that was really roadworthy.... the horsey lot finished off most of 'em!
I honestly think this together with a Landrover Discovery is one of the most ‘parked up’ broke car in people’s driveways.

Great vid Ben, you should drag some stone from the surrounding area into that low spot also would be good to see the Frontera saved
Looking forward to the Spitfire makeover and what you are dragging threw the hedge in Brum.
Hi Ben,
Contrary to some of the other opinions I've read, i think you should let the Frontera go simply because it isn't a classic (yet). Maybe you should consider setting a rolling deadline of cars 50 years or older, so this year cars before 1974, next year cars before 1975, and so on.
Also, the Rovers seem to be the more interesting cars. There's a TH-camr 'Marty's Matchbox Makeovers' who started with a target of doing a restoration on one of every model Matchbox released.
Perhaps you should set yourself the challenge of restoring one of every [major] Rover model ever made.
P.S. Happy Easter. The Frontera did make good Easter Saturday morning viewing. 👍
Definitely worth saving! Not many about anymore and its really nice inside for its mileage. The work is annoying though haha I spent my morning fitting a fuel pump to my cavalier and now the heater matrix has gone 😂
Definitely worth saving 😊
Your light hearted adventures cheered me up after my Citroën Xsara Picasso snapped her front spring 40 miles from home at 5 pm on Good Friday . 😂
