Are you talking about Carly? It’s not “her testimony”. It’s the testimony of the psychiatric nurse practitioner, it’s helpful to know what’s in the medical records since they are documenting the defendants feelings, state of mind, and mental health in the months prior to the death of her mother. This is important to hear coming from a professional, considering her plea of not guilty and claims of psychosis being the cause of her homicidal behavior.
Interesting to me how much these cases have skyrocketed since medicating children because of their behavior became the norm. Ultimately I am going to pray for this child, she has a life ahead of her regardless of its behind bars.
I definately think that adolescents on medication will complicate an evaluation on the legal end. Im also interested the relationship between Carly and the stepfather. It seems to me that Carly was simply, sadly, eliminating a source of guilt.
Those are not exuses to hurt anyone in any way. Me and my 3 siblings were spanked sometimes and were given flicks and pulled from hair a lot ever since the toddlers even though we hadn't done anything bad. Our father used physical punishment as a raising method. He gave a flick when we were about to touch a hot oven for the first time ever as a toddler. Still none of us became killers or even beaters.
Her mother should not have been taking care of Carly, she should have been in a hospital, her Dr. should be held held partly liable for mistreatment of Carly.
