‘Oh My God!’: Charlie Adelson’s Mom Yells in Court, Shakes Head During Murder Arraignment

- The Adelson family matriarch accused of plotting the murder of her son-in-law appeared in court for her arraignment Monday. Donna Adelson appeared very animated throughout the hearing, shrieking “Oh my God!” at one point, shaking her head, and dropping her jaw when an attorney discussed an alleged plot to kill herself. Adelson’s son, Charlie Adelson, was just convicted for the murder of Dan Markel - his former brother-in-law.

Regardless of how anybody feels about her personally this in the justice system is completely not acceptable. If you heard what was happening here and you didn’t know anything about her or her crime or her son or what have you, you would know that this is not acceptable. It’s unconstitutional.

There is no way a guard would recognize an inmates medical file, especially mental health. I don’t understand what this is all about.
State you should’ve given the medical records that’s the whole thing you cannot hold medical records for somebody without even showing them or their attorney. You have to offer it and give it. They shouldn’t have to ask your in charge or the gatekeeper.

This is unconfirmed, but some legal analysts here on TH-cam believe that Wendi will be arrested very soon and may even be a codefendant in the trial with her mother. There have been some search warrants executed lately that have the analysts speculating this. I hope it turns out to be true, she's so obviously involved
I’ve said since day one she is involved. The entire situation is unbelievable. I feel for her children and their grandfather.
Knowing and proving are very different. I don’t think Charlie would have gone ahead without her knowing, but at least in this respect they’ve managed to conceal anything incriminating. She also has that immunity deal which makes it even harder. They might look to charge her for perjury. She has been caught out a few times contradicting previous statements.

@@patricias5122bc he’s not the one making the decisions the defense attorney is asking about. She should subpoena the psych if she wants to grill on that stuff. Attorney is asking her questions to the wrong person and at least some foundation for her questions seems to be her client who is less than credible (meaning they’re questions that can’t be answered if the client is not being truthful). He also wasn’t prepped at all which who knows why not, that’s the prosecutors fault tho.

She’s so angry over the fact that she can’t send copies of court records- ok go over docs in person, and that video visits are observed- the officer said someone stands outside a closed office door just to watch, no one is hovering over her. Also we are here bc your client repeatedly threatened self harm and has not been cleared bc it’s only been 3 weeks! However incarceration prior to a finding of guilt is not intended to be PUNITIVE. Also conferring with counsel is a right not a privilege. The defendant (however sickening she is) is entitled to prep for trial.

The judge has to remind her she has a lawyer talking on behalf of her. Her own lawyer gently told her to be quiet. I am looking forward to her taking the stand against her lawyers advice.

Actually she was doing what she is suppose to do for her client. I did not think she was rude she was direct. Obviously, she was right in everything she said and the court ordered the 6th Amendment violation and that the jail was not acting properly and that she did not have access to her client. I am not defending the defendant here but I would want a attorney such as her presenting me in a court room. She was effective.

I don't think she is being rude. She is doing her job and asking great questions. The Chief should have been better prepared to answer questions regardles of hippa laws. He even stated that he didn't listen to the whole 25 minute video, but just a portion of it. The Chief could have provided information such as who she met with, dates and times. If he was asked to come to come to court, it wasn't just to make an appearance.

It sounds as though the defense attorney has some type of speech impediment or her accent limits her correct pronunciation of the "S", so it comes across as "Z" in this case. If she's Latina, that could be one of the reason because she sounds like a second language speaker with Spanish being her 1st language. Even though she might sound polished in other areas, she has issues with the pronunciation of words with the initial "S" sound.
The prosecutor should be a Florida attorney general, maybe even AG of the USA!
