Starting my fresh FeMc playthrough now after finishing FES just in time for this! Shocking how this remaster came out right after Crisis Core had its own which was also stuck on the PSP until now. What a great start to year for someone like me who hasn't got the chance to play them yet.

I just realized, most of the main opening themes' motifs (or in some cases, the song itself) are used for tracks you hear in-game. P3's Burn My Dread is reused for the final battle. P5's Wake Up, Get Up, Get Out There has its' motifs reused for Last Surprise. However, in this case, Soul Phrase isn't used for anything in Makoto's journey. It's used for Wiping All Out, the battle theme for _Minato._ It's honestly a damn shame we haven't gotten another FeMC after Minato, bc in all honesty, I couldn't bring myself to play Portable thanks to the overworld just being a glorified DVD menu. *(Thank god I got Reload and experienced what it **_should've_** been.)* She deserved better. *(NOTE: Yes, I use the Minato name and not 'Kotone' for the FeMC because it's like a female version of 'Makoto'. Personal preference.)*

I had herd it was because the source code for FES was basically incredibly hard to work on and port. Hard to work on, because weird things happen in FES off screen. Like double models and other various things. Things that aren't there in the portable version. So they went with P3P as much as we hate that. Because at least the source code was a little bit more modern by comparison and easier to work with.

Broh that's literally what I been saying!!! As someone who's played all versions of Persona 3 multiple times, and realizes the state of what a basic P3P port would be? I'm like dog there's no way they can port this to home consoles etc without the actual cutscenes from the PS2 versions. That would be incredibly disappointing if not. Yet no ones talking about that possibility. Everyone just keeps talking about some added features. But the cutscenes matter the most, if not just as much as the other stuff.
p3p is really easy on specs so you can play it on any PC with a cheap controller and you can mod it to get the cutscenes albeit not for the new protagonist; currently playing like this; sad part is the lack of 3D outside Tartarus which makes it a bit less involving if you come from P4 and P5 like me; I tend to just hang in there for the sake of it which is counter intuitive to getting stats and social links

Se ve muy bien diría que hasta es un remake, pero como siempre con los reescalados de inteligencia artificial, hay cositas borrosas. Si se intentara rehacerlo sería bien complejo xdd.
imagine if they got the graphics, cutscenes and social sim gameplay of fes, removed the jealousy system and combined that with the jrpg gameplay of portable, on top of having both the answer and the female protagonist campaign and replacing the awful fes opening with the phenomenal portable opening. that would be the perfect persona 3 game for people who want to experience it in the og style.
This intro makes much less sense in the remastered version because with PSP you could easily flip the handheld upside down to experience this intro from FEMC's point of view but you obviously can't' do it with your monitor or a TV screen.

I had herd it was because the source code for FES was basically incredibly hard to work on and port. Hard to work on, because weird things happen in FES off screen. Like double models and other various things. Things that aren't there in the portable version. So they went with P3P as much as we hate that. Because at least the source code was a little bit more modern by comparison and easier to work with.
@@PlasticDoor141 But yeah agreed. I really hope it isn't a vanilla straight up port of the PSP version. Because to see the game without PS2 cutscenes on modern hardware. Would be straight up disappointing. Like I'm not expecting brand new cutscenes of course. But at least the old ones.

Broh that's literally what I been saying!!! As someone who's played all versions of Persona 3 multiple times, and realizes the state of what a basic P3P port would be? I'm like dog there's no way they can port this to home consoles etc without the actual cutscenes from the PS2 versions. That would be incredibly disappointing if not. Yet no ones talking about that possibility. Everyone just keeps talking about some added features. But the cutscenes matter the most, if not just as much as the other stuff.
p3p is really easy on specs so you can play it on any PC with a cheap controller and you can mod it to get the cutscenes albeit not for the new protagonist; currently playing like this; sad part is the lack of 3D outside Tartarus which makes it a bit less involving if you come from P4 and P5 like me; I tend to just hang in there for the sake of it which is counter intuitive to getting stats and social links
In future, we got cutscenes mod for both protags, thanks to modders. Atlus had financial problems that is why didn't add cutscenes

imagine if they got the graphics, cutscenes and social sim gameplay of fes, removed the jealousy system and combined that with the jrpg gameplay of portable, on top of having both the answer and the female protagonist campaign and replacing the awful fes opening with the phenomenal portable opening. that would be the perfect persona 3 game for people who want to experience it in the og style.

This intro makes much less sense in the remastered version because with PSP you could easily flip the handheld upside down to experience this intro from FEMC's point of view but you obviously can't' do it with your monitor or a TV screen.
