This is my spin on Soul Phrase, the opening of Persona 3 Portable. The remix takes a lot of inspiration from the Persona Live Band arrange and Full Moon Full Life.
Recording and making this song was a special process, as it is one of the last songs planned to the P3R series I've been making and that means a lot to me.
But that's not all!
There are a LOT of things to come, including a new orginal song for P3R and a stream of the full FEMC EP + streaming services release!

@@gex3922 The song is a mix of english & japanese lyrics, which is rare for Persona. The only Japanese tunes we get are the credit themes

since Soul Phrase is my fav Persona 3 song of all time I was super excited to listen to this, and I did NOT came out disappointed. the guitar riff was great, and so was the bridge near the ending. truly magical, thanks for this!

Portable is one of my favorite persona games and the opening makes me get emotional. I'm glad this is still the case here.

The Live Band arrangement is my favorite version of Soul Phrase yet, so it's safe to say I was excited to hear this. Considering how long I've been listening to your rearrangements for, this might be an instant favorite. I'd like to give a whole ass paragraph into what I like the most abt this as usual, but I'm kinda in a bad place today and on my first listen my brain blanked out. This is astonishing. I think this one is my new favourite. The way you expanded on what the original did and added your own touch, bits of other emotional themes like Memories of the school at the start, and the whole instrumentalization...i think its even better than the original. Truly amazing
Love the opening part where Memories of You plays. And that flat line beep transition makes a cool reference too
I do believe I got hit with a Soul Phrase so hard that the first time I heard this, when it hit that guitar riff at 1:26 , it was much louder than normal. And I know the volume wasn’t changed because I was too shocked by it and the epic jams to change it.

The meaning of perfection in a song
Amazing work my friend. Songs tell a story, and you went from serene, to a powerful chorus, moving to the original opening sequence, then hitting us with that amazing solo at 3:23. Finishing off the cover in the outro the way you did, helped it resolve (more than just resolving in key 👁️). Great work.

LMAO, though I think both Meguro and Kitajoh did a masterful work remixing the OST, I just loved every bit of it.
@@_mosq idk man I feel like if you were to compare mass destruction (og and reload) to raidou battle (original and 2008), you would find that one is a bad remake, and the other surpasses the original at least in my opinion.
@@_mosq I don't think Meguro worked on Reload as he was too busy working on Metaphor Refantazio, the only 2 composers were Kozuka and Kitajoh
I have to disagree on this one. I think they did a perfect job with the Music for Reload. Yeah there are some versions i prefer over Reload. specifically Mass destruction and burn my dread last battle. but That doesn't mean I hate the Reload versions of those songs.
Actually, he worked! Kitajoh's songs are labeled "-reload-" and Meguro's are "(P3R ver.)".
