They cut a ton of fighting scenes and how Hajime acquired a majority of his skills and how he persevered to beat very difficult levels of the dungeon. I don't know if they were forced. Well Hiyama also had the same mentality. How could someone as trash as Hajime be able to get the attention of the most beautiful girl in the school? He would had gave up if she confessed to Kouki and both had started dating, he knew he was just not in the league to compete against him but Hajime was another case. That night when Kaori had visited Hajime. Hiyama couldn't find a way to sleep, so he wandered through the corridors until spotted her and hid in the shadows. She never saw him when she passed by him. He stood there watching her until he realized she went to visit Hajime's room and rage was starting to overwhelm him. So much that the next days he gave him death glares (which Hajime spotted all the times inside Orcus labyrinth). So after they had secured the stairs, all of the students just wanted to get out. But Meld ordered them to stay and protect Hajime so he could return back safely. Hiyama was scared and tired and the last thing he wanted was to help Hajime, he just wanted to run to the stairs that were behind him. He still lined up with the other students and then he remembered that night again and the rage consumed him. "No one will know you did it" A voice in his head trying to convince him... and the rest is pretty much what we see in this video.

The major change was the downplay of the relationship between Hajime and Yue. Their relationship was very strong due to both being a victim of betrayal and they forged an unbreakable bond especially during their 2 months stay after clearing the first labyrinth. In the novel, after Yue's first couple of blood suck, every time, she would pull him aside and did some R18 stuff with him beside bloodsucking on multiple occasions. The novel implies how Yue ultimately the one who decides/gets a final say on who gets to join the team as well. Interestingly, The novel even goes as far did not say anything about whether Hajime had any physical relationships with other girls except Yue during their travel together. Besides all of those R18 kinds of stuff with Yue that get skipped, Yue played a heavy role in Hajime's mentality. Whenever Hajime is about to turn full berserker, Yue would be there to somewhat holds him back, except some incident that even Yue feels that whoever wrong him deserve their fate (mostly death for both male and female antagonist or former classmates).
Even in the manga, Hajime makes it clear several times that he is in love with Yue and her alone, with him telling everyone else that he cannot love them because he is already taken. The anime kind of downplays this to some extent.
hahaha spot on, I haven't read the light novel but read the web novel, and only explicit R18 stuff that at least is obvious is with Yue and Shia, the other gals are also important to him but at least on the main arc they did not unlock the lover achievement, even Shia is barely there, Yue is still above all other gals tough, like there is not even a contest, if she says fk this harem the harem is over hahahah, probably shia is the closest one since she also is the closest one to Yue otherwise probably would be on the same boat as the others. Just started with the after story and the harem size is really ridiculous lol

Agreed on that. They cut out a HEAVY portion of Shea's introduction. Shea's introduction was meant to show two things about Yue and Hajime: How strong they were outside the dungeon How broken their moral compasses were BUT YOU CAN'T SHOW THAT IF YOU CUT THE CONTENT THAT COVERS IT!

What the anime didn't change from manga/novel? Anime has been so far super big disappointment. Anime has cut off all cruelty and horror aspects which was in manga and replaced them with unnecessary lewdness. Also the whole story in anime is filled with big plot holes. "Things just happen" and there is no explanation why it happened nor how. Also I still don't know why the anime did a recap episode after 5 episodes?

The only reason I'm semi enjoying it is because i can tell what parts were cut and understand what's happening. This is honestly a really bad way to promote the LN because the average viewers would be too confused to even know what's happening.

Agreed on that. They cut out a HEAVY portion of Shea's introduction.
Shea's introduction was meant to show two things about Yue and Hajime:
How strong they were outside the dungeon
How broken their moral compasses were
BUT YOU CAN'T SHOW THAT IF YOU CUT THE CONTENT THAT COVERS IT!
To be honest even after dropping this show i couldn't stop thinking about it and started to read the novel. I would suggest you to read the novel.

What the anime didn't change from manga/novel?
Anime has been so far super big disappointment. Anime has cut off all cruelty and horror aspects which was in manga and replaced them with unnecessary lewdness. Also the whole story in anime is filled with big plot holes. "Things just happen" and there is no explanation why it happened nor how.
Also I still don't know why the anime did a recap episode after 5 episodes?
I mean, the manga in itself was a shitty adaptation of the novels. So i never had high hopes for the anime. but shit. Its exponentially more off.

Unnecessary? Have you read the light novel? Lol. But yeah if you didn't read the LN you wouldn't even know what the heck is going on. The only reason I'm semi enjoying it is because i can tell what parts were cut and understand what's happening. This is honestly a really bad way to promote the LN because the average viewers would be too confused to even know what's happening.

Kaori the most popular and beautiful girl in their school is actually a hard core Yandre and was actually stalking Hajime before being summoned. Even if Hajime did not fall he would have most likely been locked up by him.
When is that revealed in the novel, when she joined his party?
austin winn You can find this info in volume 1 and 4 in the bonus story there’s also some info in the after stories Tortus travel arc that show she was stalking Hajime. She joins his party in volume 4.
She a yandree but am currently currently reading vol 5 of the novel and i haven't her do anything out of the ordinary. Sure she's is gets upset/mad/and is possessive of him but she wouldn't do something like locking him up tbh i wish hajima would just tell her and his other classmates to fuck off
Hriddhi does stuff Actually she has apparently attempted to lock him up on multiple occasions. And she participated in the attempted rape on Hajime multiple times. Hajime did attempt on multiple occasions to tell his classmates to fuck off but they never really listened to him and kept being selfish pricks. In the after stories he becomes close to his classmates unfortunately.

Im really sad that they skip alot of things specially hajime's suffering.
They haven't think about the feelings of us LN readers. And it's just very painful to watch them slowly ruining arifureta in every episode.

The beginning was completely butchered since it kept switching from the caverns to the past then back to the aftermath. It made almost no sense at all

I see soo much cut content from the anime and I guess thats why people are hating the anime because they mention certain things in flashbacks and 3D enemies.
Right now I start to think the anime is just a way to get people into reading the manga or the LN honestly.

No Game No Life might as well be Evangelion levels of plot and animation compared to Arifureta.
Arifureta's Light Novel isn't anything great, but the anime adaptions of NGNL and Ari would never be on the same level. I wouldn't even hire the Arifureta anime to clean the toilet of the NGNL anime.

The reason he stopped I believe was because of some legal troubles.... think it was "tracing hands/feet" or tax evasion.
May be getting them confused with Log Horizon.
regardless, the LN is starting up again. Think you can buy new novels on Amazon.

@@zorrakas320 That comparison is a fallacy. It's more like getting frustrated and abandoning a puzzle because halfway through it someone stopped you from working on it to deliberately explain to you every step you've already made.
Not that I agree with dropping it because of the recap, though. They released a recap because there was a holiday in Japan. Most shown would have just skipped airing anything.
Edit: Scratch that last part, I looked into it and must have just misremembered it being a holiday, as I can't find a shred of evidence for that.
liam davis I feel so bad for anime only. This is a good reason why LN and manga are way more superior to anime tho everyone should know that. It’s pretty obvious but I get why people watch the anime because they don’t like manga.
Damn it. I really wish these videos would have got the attention they deserved. I wanted to see this master do the whole season. Hopefully, season 2 will get a chance.
