- H4 headlight bulb change on a 1st generation Honda Fit / Jazz. Bad design on this car makes this job more difficult than it should be. In this video I'll show you the fastest way I have found to get access to the main headlight bulb without having to do anything crazy like removing the front bumper.

Changing that bulb was a huge pain in the ass but I wouldn't have been able to do it without this video so thanks for saving me an unnecesary trip to the mechanic.
Excellent approach. Will give this method a go this weekend and update my feedback. Many thanks
Hey buddy. Watched your video this morning and did the job on my wife's car this afternoon. No point in trying to work around the wheel, so I resigned myself to the fact that I was going to have to remove it first. All went as smoothly as you suggested. As far as 'changing a bulb' goes, it's obviously a pain the arse, but as far as car jobs in general go, it was pretty straightforward. I got it done in 45 mins (including getting tools out, cleaning up and packing away) and I was in no rush. So just to say thanks for the advice, I really didn't fancy taking that bumper off. Cheers, Steve.
Who ever decided this would be fine to sell should have been fired.
Brilliant thank you...
I did this recently by loosening the front bumper to get the headlamp unit out which was a faff. Not sure going under would have been any easier by the time you have jacked the car up, removed a wheel, the wheel arch liner and then gone through the contortion upside down! Crazy design.
Followed the manual, did it this way, removing the wheel. Absolutely sucked, had zero vision once i put my hand anywhere near the back of the headlight. Had to do everything by feel. Was a one hour nightmare. Two months later light went out again....may try one of the front entrance via the bumper: the bumper idea that seemed way overkill before, now seems quite reasonable...:)
Depending on how large your hands are, you can get away with just turning the wheel and not undoing as many of the plastic tabs. It's still a pain and you're still going blind but it's significantly easier
This is the worst design. I ended up having a headache 😅
