Might have taken a couple of months to get the weapons, you got better at every aspect of raiding for it. the title is a nice bonus. My respect to ya. 3- You got carried by a superior team of players. Get that tittle out of there, you don't get to wear it untill you cleared by your own merits.
I love how the Gaius image orders volleyfire and then dodges the attacks himself afterwards. It's fun to think that this is probably how he fought on the frontlines in his day.

Really enjoyed the questline, it's such great Gundam homage. What would Gaius have been feeling when he's watching this fight on the side? For all his might as the sword of Garlemald, so sure of himself, crushing all oppression in his conquests, his naivete had caught up with him. It's all come back to haunt him in a sick caricature. He's had to watch as his children, influenced by his past self and his later defeat, perish one by one to the Weapon Project that he started. His golden image created by the Emerald Weapon now a part of the forces harming those dear to him. Gaius isn't a cold blooded man - in fact, he does care about his adopted children, which makes this storyline interesting and meaningful but at the same time so heart-wrenching. I expected that Gaius would have to fully atone at some point for his "might makes right" views, but "no parent should have to bury their child".
It's his penance. The writers knew they couldn't just let him become an ally with no consequences. So this entire storyline is him finally being forced to see what he started to its bitter conclusion. 4 of his 5 kids die one by one, for a fight he abandoned. Puppets for Valens the way he was a puppet for the Empire, blind to their atrocities. For all that talk about the beast tribes and the eikons they summoned, was the Empire really much better? With its class division, rampant racism, and willingness to experiment on innocents? It wasn't enough for Gaius to say "I hate the Ascians for using us." He needed to have his eyes opened to the fact that *Garlemald itself* was a problem. It was never just the Ascians.
It is also confirmed he treated his soldiers like humans not machines. He didnt kill or replace anyone, he worked with them to create a better world against the eikon influence taking over Eorzea

This song blew me away. Especially seeing Gauis appear. I heard someone say the song was good, but I didn't think it'd be this great. Hearing this while doing the mechanics properly was amazing.
One thing I noticed: During Rank and File, Gaius will actually jump into the open spots in the line of fire. Those blind spots in the ranks? They're not for you. They're for HIM so he can keep kicking ass in the frontlines even with his army firing in his direction.
I agree with y'all but also Under the Weight, Oblivion, etc are absolutely timeless. The production values have gotten higher but in terms of composition it's been this good the whole damn ride imo. (and part of me kinda misses the 'dude in his garage' quality to some older tracks tbh lol)

@1:32 Ironically, I find this mechanic harder on normal mode, than EX. By making them invisible with thin line markers in EX, you can calmly follow the mechanic. Not so with normal mode's massive, overlapping orange lines, that could cause you to panic at first sight and fuck it up

Dude really stopped healing the DRK, making him invul, then stopped healing him before it stopped LD so he could res the other healer, then immediately had to res the DRK because he didnt feel like using his oGCDs to stop the DRK from dying in the first place. Healers really are galaxy brain lmao
