Actually a hacksaw would be an ineffective weapon. If you have ever used one, you know it is all too easy to break the blade. You'd basically have to get your victim to stand still in a certain way as you carefully saw at them.

The way he reacts with disdain when she suggests a hacksaw, as if she committed a grave faux pas---glorious. In fact, I would say that all their comedy revolves around exploring these kinds of social scenarios in some way or another, either through absurd juxtaposition and contrast (an axe-murderer being offended when offered a hacksaw as a substitute) or through subtraction or heightening of some crucial social element. They really do it like nobody else.

      My granny had one.
      For rabbits.
When I was a kid, my rifle stuck out of my suitcase, when flying.
      No problem.
      Lots of things have changed.
      Farm life, not so much.

StopWhatYerDoing I think it’s simply incidental music that Shadowy Men created for the show.

Isn't it illegal to use a gun in self defense in Canada? Maybe this was before the nutty law that gives aggressors more rights than victims. Now it's just call the police and hope they respond faster than the guy with the axe.

I like how the KITH would often dress up as women for no reason. Like this could have been an old guy in his kitchen and the skit probably wouldn’t change much

it wouldn't play the same. old lady pulling it out of the closet at the end is more naturalistic than an old man not sitting on the porch holding it at the start.

Some of these KITH skits are not funny, but only funny because of how bold they can be in telling such lame jokes. 😆

The one that modifies apportioning seats in the house of commons? I don't get how it applies. It got overridden by the Fair Representation Act in 2011.

I legitimately thought at the end that she was going to pull a huge axe out of the closet rather than a gun. Bonus points if she then whispers to her axe, "don't you worry, my precious, I wasn't going to let him have you." or something.
