- Malaysia lies just north of the Equator in Southeast Asia. The country is composed of two regions: Peninsular Malaysia, which is also called West Malaysia, and the island of Borneo, or East Malaysia. The island of Borneo is shared by the Malaysian states of Sabah and Sarawak as well as the Indonesian Kalimantan and the tiny nation of Brunei. While Peninsular Malaysia is celebrated for its bustling cities, melting pot of culture, tasty food, and beautiful architecture, Borneo is home to an abundance of flora and fauna, numerous ethnic tribes, and dense jungles. In this video, we highlight 10 amazing places to visit in Malaysia.

Awesome
I have just come back from my 6th trip to Malaysia which was the Borneo part of Malaysia, mainly Sabah. And apart from Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park, I did the other 4 plus visited Mabul and Sipadan Islands as well as visiting Semporna. Also visited Kuching in Sarawak too. And I did go to Brunei as well.
My first 5 visits to Malaysia, it was all in the peninsula region and been to KL, Penang, Melaka, Johor Bahru, Kuala Terengganu, Redang Island, Perhentian Island, Kapas Island, Tioman Island, Putrajaya and Langkawi - I'll say Langkawi was amazing
That's so cool to hear! You've really explored it all in Malaysia... We'd love to go to Sipidan Island, Tioman, Perhentian, and Redang! The islands are beautiful
Visiting indonesia..
great video!!!!! can I ask where you stayed in Taman Negara?
We stayed in the town of Kuala Tahan. We booked a small budget hotel right in the town!
Great video guys, thanks for sharing. I'm planning on a 5 days trip to Malaysia and 2 days in Singapore, do you guys have any videos on Singapore or any suggestions?
Thanks for watching! We don't have any videos on Singapore specifically... we'll have to go there soon! Enjoy your trip
@@worldwildhearts thanks 🙏🏽 you too guys, enjoy your journey. We'll be here waiting for your videos.
Hey guys great video as always. May I ask what camera do you guys use for video.? Thanks
Canon EOS 80D and go pro hero 10 mostly
Your videos about Malaysia are amazing and they really inspired me to travel there. When do you think it is a good time to visit the west coast from Penang to Kuala Lumpur?
I had read about June-July but a I am bit concerned about the chances of haze.
Chances of haze is UNCERTAIN, as it's actually coming from Indonesia (forest burning). You may come visit MARCH-early JUNE to avoid raining season, then SEP/OCT seems good too. :) NOV to FEB are usually rainy, so does JUL/AUG nowadays.
However, Penang and KL are cities, you can come ANY time of the year since it's not involving hiking in the nature or swim in the sea.
Anyway, welcome to Malaysia!
We visited in March and it was a great time to visit. Had a few short rain showers in KL, but other than that it was pretty sunny and clear!
Hello, it is a very nice video thank you for all this informations! We are planning to go there for our Honeymoon and I'm looking forward to it, though I do have some questions:
- What type of Backpack do you have ?
- Do you have the name of the "tour companies" you used for the activities we can see in the video (Tanan Negara Forest, on the boat in Borneo, the immersion in the villages and tribes, etc ...) ?
- What time of the year have you been there? (As it looks not that busy on your video, so it's nice ^^)
- Do you think you need a guide in Tenan Negara Forest (animals-wise speaking, is it too dangerous on your own?) and have you been on your own on the trails in Cameron Highlands ?
Sorry to ask, but it will be my first trip out of Europe and obviously we don't have here the type of faune they have so I'm just wondering ;)
Thank you so much for your answers and time, I'm on my way to watch the other videos now :D
what period was this video as saw West and East have different best time to visit
Hi. I have a question. My friend told me to place the backpack in front as someone might open it when in crowded places like china town or jan alor. Whats your opinion?
We felt pretty safe in Malaysia. However, as with any crowded place in the world I would agree that you have to protect your belongings! Just because you wouldn’t notice when it’s crowded. When we were in Chinatown and Jalan Alor it wasn’t too busy so we didn’t do it
Hi, I'm from Malaysia
Hello there! We hope you enjoyed our video!
Hey, I've noticed that the link to your interactive travel planner doesn't work on your videos,. at least not for me
Thanks for reaching out. Here is the link: www.worldwildhearts.com/product-page/comprehensive-travel-planner
I guess you meant SipAdan island near Semporna.
Go to da lat in 🌲 in Vietnam
We were planning to, but had some issues at the border in Vietnam so couldn’t get in at this time. Hopefully we will visit next year!
Nice tips!
We want to rent a car, do you have any experience with that?
Thanks :)
We don’t! We never rented a car in Malaysia as traffic is pretty insane and it seems daunting 😅. But maybe depends on where you want to drive?
What is your camera gear?
Your contents looks great! Well done!
Thanks for your kind words! We're using a Canon EOS 80D, Go Pro Hero 10, and DJI Mavic Mini 2!
Wonderful video, I wish I could experience Malaysia for myself. I’m travelling in India now and was planning on going to Malaysia next, your videos are very informative and to the point. I have changed my mind on Malaysia because it is a very unsafe destination for LGBT+ travellers. If this affects you, please review travel warnings and reconsider. The Malaysian government actively pursues LGBT+ citizens and travellers. I will be heading to Thailand instead, and I’m enjoying your Thai video series. Thanks again.
Oh really? That’s so sad to hear. We didn’t know about this..
It's not as bad as it seems. As long as you behave decently in the public. Nobody is going to pursue you. Anything close door is none of the authority's business unless you're being reported doing some indecent activities. Welcome to Malaysia. :)
Rich girl poor girl party families visiting Malaysia or not 1950 or 1971
Pity you don’t pronounce the last word in every sentence, you know, the last is as important as the first!!!
It’s just a comment, don’t take it wrong!☺️
Thanks for the feedback!
@@worldwildhearts Keep on traveling!!!
The human rights violations though…
What?
3:02 is enough for me to never go there
Haha they don’t really attack though 😂
