I used to be into the boho vibe, but as I get older I gravitate towards the minimal such as Toteme, The Row, Jim Sander and Dries. I would be surprised if Chloe is able to pull off a come back with boho and western. Idk. I might be wrong. It seems many customers are buying classic pieces and minimal styles. It will be interesting to see how Chloe fairs and if Givenchy under Sara Burton is able to revive the brand. Great video!
I feel you! I do lean more on the side of minimal but I've been feeling the need for something more romantic, but yeah I think boho isn't totally my style and it's more of a niche. It's still a broader style, but it doesn't have the ability to connect with all customers. Thank you so much for watching and sharing❤
Maybe it’s just me and my bubble but I feel there will be a Carven renaissance under Louise Trotter. Her collections for Carven looked great so far and I think more and more people will pick up on that
OMG yes! Her work is highly underrated, or really just not known a mass level yet and would love for Carven to have a resurgence. Thank you so much for watching and sharing❤❤❤
i think certain brand's renaissance are linked to market conditions, the right product at the right time. The market might rebel against current trends and turned to something different. Miu Miu is meant to be for the younger crowds. Every few years a new younger generations come in and make it their own, and the older, current customers moves on to Prada, or maybe other brands. No one can shop at one brand indefinitely. Certain brands only did well with certain designers. Burberry hasn't been the same since Christopher Bailey left. Same with Chanel and Karl, and McQueen. Alexander McQueen is irreplaceable, and no one can do what he did.
100% Miu Miu was popular 15 years ago but it's not until recently the market conditions and gen z appeal that it's now having a renaissance. So true about how younger genetations change with the times. Thank you so much for watching and sharing Ryan❤
Givenchy is underrated (yeah, nothing super cutting edge, but always has beautiful, reliable products, including the Antigona). However, with Burton at the helm, I think it is poised to come back in a big way. As you mentioned, ditto with Lanvin (I actually think of these not-in-the-conversation brands as these truly quiet luxury, where women with elegance will shop for quality, regardless of hype or conversation; I'm also MUCH older so these brands have been in my psyche for a loooong time). And, Nina Ricci, too!
Definitely! Sarah Burton if anyone is poised to bring that brand back into the conversation, its her!! YEs Lanvin is a brand with the right creative director can breathe new life into it. Ohh yes Nina Ricci, but I haven't really been following it as much. Thank you so much for watching and sharing❤
I'm glad you mentioned Isabel Marant, she doesn't get enough credit for having consistently worked on her relatively small brand since the 1990s. The boutiques and the website always feature well made clothes you can wear in daily life as well as offerings for special occasions. Her brand in my opinion, really is the original elevated bohemian style with shades of vintage 70s and 80s French glamour. I do also really like the new Chloe bags and the costume jewelry offered in Chemena Kamali's first and second collections. I enjoy your videos and would love to see one on what you think about Isabel Marant.
Huge fan of IM and fully agree!! I have several pieces from her over the years and still pull them out every now and again. Definitely should do a video on her. Thank you so much for watching and sharing❤
Concerning a brand i'm excited for their renaissance era, it's Calvin Klein. I know it's premium and not luxury but they have a new creative Director in Veronica Leoni and i'm very eager to see what she presents on the runway. Very big shoes to fill to come after Raf Simons. Love your videos ! I'm watching them from the 1st one you posted :)
Ohhh yes such a good one. Curious o see what Veronica Leoni will bring. Love her own brand and she has such a great background. Thank you so much for watching and sharing❤
I'm not a Chloé woman but i looked at stuff and i loved the pants and outerwear. I think beyond the runway shows, they have good clothes. I think the rave reviews around Chloé are also because it feels good to have a brand that is that specific in it aesthetic and products. Everybody is trying to copy the big brands and Chloé really stand out! I think Givenchy, Lanvin, Tom Ford and Celine are going to be the most anticipated shows of next PFW. I must say that i'm not that positive on the success of new Valentino. Michele's work this time doesn't feel fresh. There's a real opportunity in terms of merchandising but i'm not convinced.
So true! I love that Chloe is a brand that is bucking the trends and staying true to who they are, and have appointed a creative director that understands the brand. Ohh interesting perspective about Valentino. I don't know if the bags are speaking to me, but I would also say I'm not really the core customer. Thank you so much for watching and sharing❤
Ugh completely personal for me and so many of us… but the fall of Givenchy will always be the saddest to me 😫😫😫😫😫 That was the first house I and so many of us legitimately fell in love with and actually bought into. The conversation between why creative directors sometimes make such drastic changes in designs and quality when they arrive to a house could be the real root of the issue. Creative directors often are probably pushed too much by the higher ups to perform/or “go back to their roofs” or become purely marketable 🥵 When houses started having to do singular collections in between CD’s, it really made me think… is there too much pressure on them?? (I mean duh lol). The design team usually really is able to perform and create an entire cohesive collection, so maybe the disconnect comes with the appointment of drastically different creative voices. (In some cases, obviously bottega’s a good example of the opposite, but take Celine for example of the drastic difference between PP and Hedi 😅).
Yes I really hope Sarah Burton can breathe new life into Givenchy because it has the potential to be such an interesting brand again. Yes I think sometimes it's a combination of the new CDs and the CEOs that can either make a brand work or flop. Yes! Bottega should be the blueprint in terms of how these brands transition their CDs and teams. It feels like an evolution but did not alienate their customer base. Thank you so much for watching and sharing❤❤❤
In another topic, I wish they bury Alexander McQueen. I don't want it continued now that Sarah Burton has left. Just like L'wren Scott's line has been discontinued (afaik), they should do the same with McQueen's
Calvin Klein - the brand is so dead that any exciting young designer could really take cover and reinvent it Demna style. Tbh, a more luxury sporty/street-style like Balenciaga, Diesel, Y-project could make sense. Or maybe they go after the Row/Jil Sander/mui mui vibe - which would be harder to pull off/make waves imo. Armani MENS - due a comeback, has quietly been making subtle moves over the last 2 to 3 years away from prying eyes. Seeing an almost Dries meets Zegna sensibility creeping in (focus on fabric, pattern, bourgeois 'bohemiana') which I'm interested to see develop.
Ohh interesting perspective. I do think CK will go in that direction of The Row/Jil Sander based on Veronica Leoni's work but who knows. Ohh yes, Armani really? I haven't been following the brand, would love to know more about what is going on there. Thank you so much for watching and sharing❤
@@MarysRoom Yea I think you're right about the direction CK will take. I hope Leoni will bring a more subtle/refined sporty element, almost Moncler meets the Row. I really want them to succeed, so I hope they're able to set themselves apart from the other 'minimalists'.
Fnedi. And 2025 is the brand's centennial. But Kim Jones just exited after the blandly staged SS25 show, so i have absolutely no idea what's coming next.

Ferragamo, Carolina Herrera & Fendi quality are steady but they aren’t talked about as much.
Love Fendi, but the quality is mostly horrendous… unless u go for the fur and couture stuff…
@@avskardiYou are tripping😂
Definitely! They are in it for the long run❤
@@avskardi I think they have nice bags
