Regarding Zeromus enrage, although his final form is triggered at 25% there's a time cap where he will cast (something) that wipes the raid. The amount of repeated mechanics for his final phase may be very short if you reached it late.
This trial was great. I think barb is still my fav EW trial, but this fight is definitely in contention. During one crit-blessed pull, I, a white mage, was 3rd in aggro after the akh-morn laser due to bell healing. Most mechs feel slidecast-able. Outgoing damage is high but not crazy. A fun dance. Just a good fight overall.
I love this trial too, it's just never boring. So much variety of fun and flashy attacks,. even if it's not the hardest I feel these qualities keep it interesting.
I really enjoyed the fight and even if I think Golbez is just a bit more interesting by design, I agree this was a welcome and a chill change of pace. It also helps that farming this is way more consistent and not as prone to one tiny error like Golbez. Not to mention FF4 is a super nostalgic FF for me and definitely up there in terms of enjoyment. Like I already got the 100 Zeromus totems within week 1 which has never happened before, and I'd still be down to farm it with some FC members that are definitely not into high-end raiding. Meanwhile I dread the idea of going back to Golbez to die to double meteors or other dumb shit while I already have the totems, so maybe I'll sit that one out.
There's something to say about this extreme getting super casuals (me) to try it and clearing it the second day it released. I never cleared any extremes outside of ARR and ravana (which i did in duty finder with no guide and we one shot it, crazy). This is my favorite extreme and makes me want to go back and see what i missed out on
You alluded to it, but its worth stating how less boring the semi-random AOEs are compared to normal baited AOEs. It's such a small change and it doesn't add much difficulty in this fight, but it makes every pull just a touch more chaotic and engaging. Also, I have seen both enrages. You need a lot of deaths, but they are there.
Many people probably answered for the Enrage but Zeromus will cast an Enrage after 10.5min passes He'll cast Big Bang or Big Crunch again and that'll be the enrage cast I've only seen it cause we had an INSANE bad Red mage, all craft gear, NO MELD and kept dying :')
I am genuinely confused. Everyone keeps saying how easy this Ex is, yet almost every PF I tried just wiped on it for hours. Yes, like 70% on Meteors, most others on Enrage
A lot of the challenge is going to come down to how soon you do the trial and how much. Most are pretty easy when picked up day one or two. But a week or two in you might have to run several instances with help to get far. Same could be said for most content really.
Honestly not really. It is easy. Problem is people refuse to just sac meteors if they cant find a spot so they just wipe the party. After that people struggle because they dont often get that far. @@dontcare916
@@ShizumaThis is very true. Typically, the more experienced raiders are going to attempt to clear the content as soon as they can (usually within a week of release) whereas casual players tend to take their time and are less concerned about when they clear the content. Personally, Zeromus the fastest I've ever beaten an extreme as it's come out. Cleared on day 2 in less than 2 lockouts

For me a ranking is pretty easy to put together for EX:
7: Rubicante
6: Zodiark
5: Hydaelyn
4: Zeromus
3: Endsinger
2: Barbariccia
1: Golbez
3am? Homie I'm the only one that's gonna see this till morning 😂😂 not complaining ❤
Hard enrage is when the boss casts Big Bang and says something along the line like all is reduced to nothingness
Where do I find parties for fresh zeromus prog.
Have you done thordan unreal? Its really fun

Enrage is Big Bang at 11 min

it is certainly easier than Golbez, cant say much about the rest, only killed Golbez and Zeromus on Extreme so far

I think the meteor mechanic is pretty bad. Aside from that, fun fight.
