408 STROKER swapped F-150 is DONE! plus, solving electrical GREMLINS

  • We started this project back in June, and now its on the road! The owner of this truck wanted more power, and a 408 stroker windsor is just the ticket! It makes about 480hp and 510lb.ft. of torque, and its connected to the stock E4OD trans, and has a Holley Super Sniper EFI controlling the engine and a US Shift Quick Shift 2 controlling the transmission. We did have some EMI and RFI issues with the fuel injection system, but some careful wrapping of the harness and moving a few wires around took care of most of it. But most important, whats it like to drive this bad boy? Well with almost 500 horses at the crankshaft, its pretty exciting.

For someone who doesn't like Fords, you did a great job. Congrats on a successful swap. I liked your homage to Pat T. The reason your wiring didn't measure up to his standards is you didn't have enough pens, pencils, and assorted stuff in your top shirt pocket. All kidding aside, Pat T. is a very talented guy.
