"My leg was blown off by an IED - then I won Strictly Come Dancing!" Royal Marine's amazing story

  • Lance Corporal Cassidy Little left his home in Canada to join the Royal Marines - but on his second tour of Afghanistan his life changed forever.
    Attached as a medic with 42 Commando, he was on operations in Helmand Province when he was caught in the blast from an IED.
    Three men died from their injuries, while Cassidy lost his right leg at the scene.
    Since leaving the military, he has turned to acting and in 2015 took part in - and won - The People’s Strictly Come Dancing.
