  • Scott Yarrington spent eight years with the Irish Guards before his military career came to a shattering halt when he stood an IED while serving in Afghanistan.
The injuries he suffered were catastrophic.
But despite losing both his legs in the blast, Scott refused to spend the rest of his days in a wheelchair and has since rebuilt his life.
Please take a few minutes to listen to his inspirational story.

Great testament to courage and determination. Also to advances in battlefield medicine…years ago (eg 80’s) he’d very probably have died in theatre of operations given the extent of his injuries. Brave warrior, great medics.

We must never forget the sacrifices the members of our armed forces make for us, both during and after their service. It is often a lifelong burden they bear.

To lose both your legs in a pointless war must be a helluva thing. Was it worth it? WW2 and fighting against tyranny I can understand and much respect to those who fought at Normandy and elsewhere but this I dont understand. Why was he fighting the Taliban? What was the point? Since then all USA/UK troops have left Afghanistan and the Taliban are still doing their thing, same as before. Leave them to it, who cares?

And for what? To appease politicians? And yet another round of tyrannical thugs in yet another country!? Sorry. I'm just so angry for you all. Stay safe. 🙏🇮🇪🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👌🫡
