    I can't see why smaller church's that cannot afford, or have the space for a full large organ, have an organ like this that has such a rich full sound of a much larger organ! I think someone should produce and market these.

    I think I saw a video about this very organ the other day, and it is said to be the last Aeolian Skinner organ ever. I played a small four stop organ at St John's church in North Rigton, so I know what it's like to get the sound right in your ears especially the mixture

      I saw that video also -- the tracker noise is less noticeable here -- possibly due to placement of mics? And a lighter technic ?

Is here still an organ that you would like to perform on? Thank you, my friend, for showing us some of the world's most beautiful organs and for the equally beautiful music you play on them. 👏🎹🎼🎶

    So glad to hear you are able to play and demonstrate some instruments in the USA -- looking forward to what other ones you may share.
    One annoyance I have is how often the tern "portative" organ is mis-used -- applied to instruments which are clealy too large and stationary to be "portable" . This is clearly a positive organ, and it's disappointing that people who should know better didn't. Or am I mistaken?

    Wow, what a great sounding instrument. I love large pipe organs but there can be a deleterious effect on the fine points of rhythm due to the size and the speed of sound which the smaller pipes better circumvent.

      Thank you. Ours is a small Church where we have just completed a renovation, getting rid of the pews and adding wood floors. Our organ was purchased second hand from a Masonic Temple - so even when new it wasn’t a great instrument. It is definitely showing it’s age and is in need of a refurbishment which I’m not sure is cost effective. As an Architect I loved your organ’s simple and elegant design. And as a music lover and one time chorister - many years ago - I really appreciated your organ’s sound. Again thank you. If you are able to discern anymore information about the instrument you were playing, I would find that very helpful. As a small parish our financial reserves are very limited.

    Cute organ, but clearly whoever takes care of it can’t seem to tune it and got lazy with the top octave of the mixture and muted it

    • @carswithswagautomotive7994
      @carswithswagautomotive7994 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Not really. Mixtures are always one of the fastest ranks of pipes to go out of tune, yet this one seemed in pretty nice tune from what Paul demonstrated. This is also an Aeolian-Skinner, so obviously the mixture isn’t going to be voiced like a screamer neo-baroque instrument of the same size.
