I have a streamlight tlr 1 with the thumb screw for tightening onto my Glock G19X. When I was considering the Surefire X300 Turbo, I can’t believe how much time I spent (wasted?) on TH-cam trying to determine if the thumb screw would be too inconvenient. Honestly, I don’t understand the time devoted to how less convenient the thumb screw is to the snap-on version. For the extra security of the mounting to the pistol, the 1.5 twists to secure the light seems, to me, inconsequential. Blessings
And all along, the quick release 'A' model secures snuggly to the wider gap on Gen 5 Glocks simply by swapping out the 'U' plate for the additionally supplied 'P' plate. Win Win!
Something huge missed on this video. This video is only 9-months old but features the tail cap that SureFire no longer uses or sells for the X300U. The "new" tailcap is the same except it lacks the pins that allow you to remove a chunk of (unnecessary?) plastic, and therefore does not fit on a variety of guns. I emailed SureFire and they told me tough break.
Buy the A if you have a pic rail because you also get a stiffer attachment that screws on tight too - if you have a pic rail. What you get is the best of all worlds options.
I recently just had my surefire x300 u come in…. I’m running the Universal plate, but there is more play in the light than I would like…. How do I tighten the play out??
Can an A become a B by swapping out the connectors? I'm sure there's a decent joke for that, but seriously, I hate that wiggle but won't spend $300 for another.
Got any recommendations for the B? I got one on sale because I wanted an x300u and didn’t know they were different and am having difficulty finding a B holster
I've looked at and thought deeply about both, and I've made my choice. Caleb's hair.
Interesting how even the marketing team fails to mention the inclusion of a wedge adapter for the A model to help remove play on certain model frames.
Came to say the same thing. Baffling actually
Caleb’s hair reminds me of Robbie Rotten’s spray-on hair from LazyTown😅👍🏼
Facts😂
😂😂😂
It's a wig
Good video you answered my question about which to get for my Glock, probably going with b because I hate play.
Title of this video should be “Hairstyle A vs. B” 😂😂😂
Andy's hair looks like the Pokémon that evolves into Caleb's hair.
Andrew must have been running late and had to use Caleb's hair stylist before filming!
I still have my old x200 from 2006 ish and it still looks and works as new.

This is a question I’ve had for a while
Hi, thanks for the great video. Dose the B model leave a mark on the gun when you tighten it?
Was literally looking at their website and had this question. 😂

My unfortunate case is a Wilson Combat SFX9 4", which this will not fit

the stupid attachments is nothing beyond ridiculous. Olight gets it much better with QD at 1/6 the price.
So the x300-A version picatinny mount would attach to a Sig P229r without any wiggle/play?

Swap the plates out
What a pistol on the table? Look cool.
It's a staccato
Having a pistol suppressed hiding the product is always a bad idea. Clear the work space so we can see them.
I got the a and its super snug on an fn509 tactical
Which would you recommend for a Sig P228?
Nice
Which is the best for a XDM Elite OSP?
Whats better for my staccato p?
I prefer the b better lockup
Hk usp ?
B is quick enough. I don't want any play at all in my attachments.
pew pew pew
How do you clean the carbon off ?
Put very thin layer of chapstick on it before you shoot with it. The residue will come right off ez
Carbon on the lens? Soft pink pencil eraser work for me.

No. Each connecting arm is integral to the body of their respective lights. Try swapping the Universal to 1913 rail to reduce wobble.
Good luck finding the specific holster. A and B model holsters are not interchangeable.
It really limits your options, so do your research well.

@@lukehuston2383 Safariland has a great level ii OWB option. I wear it at the range or in winter under my clothes.
Um.
I prefer the thumbscrew. The other style is impossible
It is possible.
