Yes, Figure is able to work independently. It can identify objects in the scene, complete tasks, and interact socially with humans. It is not clear from the video if the Tesla Wii robot can do the same things as Figure. The video does not provide any specific details about the robot's capabilities. However, the speaker does mention that the robot was able to interact with people in a seemingly natural way, and it was able to adapt to people's movements and interactions with it in real time. This suggests that the robot may have some similar capabilities to Figure. However, it is also important to note that the video does not definitively prove that the Tesla Wii robot is fully autonomous. The speaker expresses their uncertainty about this, and it remains an open question whether the robot is truly capable of independent thought and action. Here are some specific details from the video that support the idea that the Tesla Wii robot may not be fully autonomous: The speaker mentions that the robots may be using pre-recorded responses or scripts. The speaker observes that the robots seem to struggle with understanding complex questions or following long conversations. The speaker points out that the robots' movements can sometimes appear jerky or unnatural, suggesting that they are being controlled by a human operator. Overall, while the video showcases impressive advances in robotics, it does not definitively prove that the Tesla Wii robot is fully autonomous. More information would be needed to draw a definitive conclusion about its capabilities.

Thanks Chris. Very cool. Sorry that you didn't have a chance to ride in a Cybercab. Optimus is cool. I also think the interactive ones are remotely operated🤔 Still amazing tech! Here's a thought. Great to see you again. Fold the laundry over there. Bring me a beer and watch out for the cat. The game starts in 5 minutes" 🤣
The operator-controlled Optimus bots are extremely impressive on their own, and even more so if you consider what is required to pull the operator control off. It is (probably) like using a wireless Meta Quest, except with a many many times the user inputs with a highly specialized capture rig, some sort of haptic feedback system (maybe?), and your camera feed goes through Starlink. All of this done in near real time. Each one of those is hard to pull off, and Tesla did all of those. That deserves some serious respect.
And the physical dimensions of the operator won't actually be the same as the robot. One point about the CyberCab that wasn't mentioned in most videos' is that it's rear wheel drive only. I ask one of the Tesla engineers at the static display, and he said cost considerations lead them to a single motor design. When ask about northern climates, where AWD would be useful, he said that's where you use a Model Y AWD "RoboCabs". Introducing the new Optimus Robot (batteries, and human are not included). We are working towards full automation coming any year now. When you're not using your new Optimus robot you can rent it out to other people, and it will pay for itself. You would actually have to be crazy not to buy one.
Quite a show there. Holleywood movies are great but what is even greater is experiencing it in real life. Welcome to Waymo!
This is not paid by Waymo!
That's the next video 😜
i also have tried anker's wireless mics, that's exactly what happened, sudden lost of the transmission of the voice. Recommend you switch to DJI or Rode
That is a weirdly large tag and glowing lanyard ! wonder if its to help the cars see you as humans ;)
That was the Top Gear chief editor guy Jack Rix sitting in the Robovan with Franz. They have a youtube video up too.
11:00 People lambaste that it's not an autonomous robot, but no one seems to respect that the Teslabots at We Robot are pretty f'n cool avatars that exist today. Next level remote work.
too bad they were fake
"Next level remote work"
Sure. But no one’s looking for teleoperable robots. They’re expecting fully autonomous machines. This makes Tesla look like they’re falling behind the competition.
@@nathanaelculver5308are you serious? you can't think of anything that's too dangerous a VR controlled robot would be preferable for?

One point about the CyberCab that wasn't mentioned in most videos' is that it's rear wheel drive only. I ask one of the Tesla engineers at the static display, and he said cost considerations lead them to a single motor design. When ask about northern climates, where AWD would be useful, he said that's where you use a Model Y AWD "RoboCabs". Sounds like your Tesla user profile for temp, tunes, etc. will be provided to CyberCab, and also use phone Bluetooth proximity to identify "hailing cab rider" and open door upon approach.
I'm favoured only God knows how much I praise Him, $230k every 4weeks! I now have a big mansion and can now afford anything and also support God’s work and the church.
Wow that's huge, how do you make that much monthly?
I started pretty low, though, $5000 thereabouts. The return came massive. My son is in school doing well, telling me of new friends he's meeting in school. Thank you Anita Jo Humphrey you're a miracle
Access to good information is what we investors needs to progress financially and generally in life. this is a good one and I appreciate
Waking up every 14th of each month to 210,000 dollars it’s a blessing to I and my family… Big gratitude to Anita Jo Humphrey
please how can I reach her?
Chris, would have loved to say hi! I heard from others that you were there but never saw you. Ironically, I was standing in front of RoboVan as you videoed the front. Sorry you didn't get a ride in the CyberCab, but the ride was very similar to the Autonomous Model Y, except the auto-door closing upon buckling the seatbelt was neat on the CyberCab and the 24 in. screen was impressive but had same UI as autonomous Model Y.
Chris in ma hood! Can't wait to see the RaBOvin bumping down your dirt road. Great reporting. Good Cybercab details
At 6:03 you can see the camera between the wheel and the door. It has a red tint so it looks like it's using Hardware 4. Cool to see.
"The seats look really wide, makes sense in America" 😅
Who is waiting for tesla mobile.
I'm very sorry for you that Tesla put you in an overflow viewing area and you couldn't get a Robotaxis ride. But your video is still very insightful. Thsnks for sharing!
Bro, that robot is gonna take my job at the gigafactory. Hell yeah.
Your videos are very concise and informative and logical... thanks... You are so lucky to witness THE DAY THAT MARKS THE FUTURE.
THIS CHANGES ENTIRE HUMAN HISTORY, BIRTH OF NEW SPECIES BY HUMANS "
Optimus moves so good now
Sensory sensors should be equipped not only on your hands but also on your entire body
I am terrified about the idea of fully autonomous optimus robots, although I am excited for the future of it. But I like the idea of remote controlled ones like today - just imagine the benefits it has for store security, police force - there can be a real human presence at a scene without putting a humans life at risk
not sure why but this whole video makes me want to move to the mountains
better than gta 6 😂
Work from home finna be fire
The guy going in the cyber bus is from top gear, if you see the top gear video he was talking with franz
This got me thinking since the robots are not 100% AI and they’re being controlled by as humans and Elon Musk wants to go to mars, I believe he’s taking the robots to the mars first. Just a theory. Literally you could take the robots anywhere in the universe.
Lol, they really pulled out all the stops, a huge set, traveling bands, robotaxis, how are they going to top this!?
so dope
You said you feel sorry for the robots that are trapped in the fishbowl dancing what about the actual people that are controlling those robots that have to stand somewhere and dance for hours? They are probably in an empty room or an office space in one of the buildings behind you. Thanks for posting this it's one of the best I've seen.
“When can I take you home?”
Like on a date?🤣
"Assisted by a human" is a funny way to say "I'm not a robot at all, I'm a puppet"
It is still technically a robot, just not an autonomous robot.

Aside from those audio dropouts nice video - perhaps factory reset your Samsung will fix it 😉
Btw at 9:22 the Tesla guy on your right with the moustache and false teeth is the one talking to you through the bot, I believe. He is checking you all the time as you talk. I believe someone else is controlling the movements of the bot. Thus voice and movements only join in the bot. Good trick.
You are definitely wrong
Unfortunately, not all of us were financially literate early. I was 35 when I finally educated myself and started taking steps. I went from $176,000 in debt with zero savings or retirement to now, 2 years later, fully debt-free and over $1000,000 net worth. I know that doesn't SOUND like a lot, but I'm incredibly proud of it. Now I'm fast-tracking my wealth building (investing $400,000 annually) and don't owe a dime to anyone. It's a good feeling!
What confuses me is Elon always said they wouldn't be purchasable as the idea was having less cars on the road
Well what’s great about this is insurance can’t take advantage of us anymore if everybody own a smart car. Because they all interact with each other and drive safely
Robotelepresence is still something that could have revolutionary benifits before autonomy.
I thought it was amazing...I want to buy an Optimus now
Imagine you get in on the robovan and someone silently farts that smells hella bad.
That'd be a nice trip with 19 different strangers.💀
Wish I could’ve been there too man, looked so awesome. Would’ve loved to experience the new Cybercab first hand like that. Can’t wait for the future of Tesla man! They’re the only innovative company out there right now. 😄🥳
No, they are not.
Let's just remember the movie with Bruce Willis, Surrogate, and forget how "bad" it seemed for some that the Optimus were remotely controlled.
Great report, thanks man
The car design is like 80's futurism.
Anyone who's ever thought these robots weren't remotely controlled need to get their head checked by a professional.
😂😂
why no visualization on the screen? even just existing fsd
Lmao hearing this dude commentate right behind people was hilarious.
This car deserves a wheel, but i like that it can drive without.
As if the roads aren’t congested enough already, now we gonna have cars with no one in them or a robot driving it to the freaking store 😂
What's the difference if someone is in it or not? You think robots will be out Joy riding like humans?
VR Chat avatars, but in the real life 🤣🤣
I had the impression that Optimus was fully autonomous and talking on its own.. While I'm still impressed, gotta say Im a bit disappointed..
Robot be looking more fluid than some people i know😂
It would be good if you could talk to Optimus inside the Tesla.
How long were you able to track one Optimus? Curious the battery life. Impressive movement and speed, especially for remote control.
Optimus battery life is important if it is to be stocking shelves in stores.
Tesla robotics module runs on max .7kW with 2.3kwh battery lasting 8 hours of Optimus work.
@@waynerussell6401 what is the power consumption at regular walking speed? And will be able to charge from level 2 charger, 7.5 or 11 kW?
@@waynerussell6401 The actuators is probably not doing regen yet, but the efficiency may be improved in the future.
If so, the consumption for a lot of easy/light tasks could be close to that of the AI alone.
@alexp.6406 100 watts while stationary and 500 watts while walking. Dr Walker calculated a 12 hour stretch constantly lifting a grand piano...
Using tabless 4680 batteries (52v) it will use the efficiency of that design to minimize heat but not likely to have a liquid battery cooling system but probably a fan. Charging likely to be wireless.

I respect and appreciate you recording and uploading this content.
I'm still very much against 'losing' the steering wheel, yoke, and the pedals.
This leads us into era of Irobot, Star wars and back to future, so bit underplayed, wished they demoed like these movies, robots dropping from choppers....😊
This is a exciting glimpses of the future of Tesla but what happened why you didn't get a ride on a cyber cab or robo taxi I thought you had a reservation for that
"smarts" 😂 that's all they have to get done now
Was there really so much new?
Ok, so a new car model.
We already know FSD (if they weren't also remotely controlled).
Remotely controlled bots is not that impressive.
