    I love how this turned out. I like dawn and this glue way!! I think you should leave the glue on next time and epoxy over it to see how it looks!!

    Nifty! If you ever want to try it with a PVA glue that's heavier bodied (less runny, less dripping, quicker setup), Tacky Glue or WeldBond are both great.

    That was pretty cool technique...takes a tad bit longer than dish soap method but gives basically same effect...WTG gr8 job and love the ❤ paw print n dog pic!!! Keep the videos & tips coming!!! Til next tyme...keep those cre8ive juices abrewing!!!

    When you first put the glue on and spray painted the black over it, it kind of reminded me of some pretty sick dragon scales! I would love to see that

    I was curious what machine are you using to keep the object turning constantly, until you remove you created. I LOVE the way your original piece came out and really want to try it myself but I can’t figure out by looking in the background what your using to keep your object turning while you design & letting dry.

      it is a tumbler turner, I made this one myself and I have a video on my channel showing how, but you can but buy an already made one at a craft store or Amazon

    Love this technique!! Quick question, instead of using black spray paint could you use black alcohol ink and airbrush over it? Just looking for alternative ways to do inside my home during the winter months. Would it be as effective?

      You could but would most likely need to wait for the glue to dry first, then paint, then peel off the glue.

    Hi, could you please tell me what the purpose of giving it a coat of Matte clear would be? I know you chose not to do it for this video, but just the fact that you even spoke about doing it made me want to ask because I saw another video where they used the matte clear on their Tumblr before putting the resin on. Thanks

      I typically do just to keep my process uniform incase something goes wrong or has a bad reaction and it is easier to narrow down the problem

    Hey ya'll. I think leaving the glue on and lightly epoxying that to secure it would be great! I have week hands and drop stuff a lot. So e texture would be great for grip!!

    Ok so you did the paint, glue, let dry, paint, washed off glue and what was the next step before you put the decals on?

      I sprayed the matte clearé to seal it after airbrushing the alcohol inks and then again after finished painting before epoxying

      I actually did not because all but one of the tumblers were more technical and process issues, and I was really only wanting to show how to make the design better. So I messaged them, sent them their cups back along with a Dawn DishSoap cup I made as a thank you.👍

    Looks beautiful! And when it was all black was definitely fun. I think the glue might have taken took off the patterns you air brushed on with the alcohol inks because you didn’t seal it first though.

      Got some questions. What us the machine that you used to turn the project? What do you use to hold different shapes in place? I have an airbrush that I used for makeup.       Yeah it seems to be a more relaxed process because the glue being thicker and you don't rush so quick

    Oh yeah, once it gets warmer and I can afford the paint, I'm doing this to my kayak. It's goin down! I wonder if Elmers would pay me to do this so I could pay for the paint lol. This looks like it would work on the surface better then the Dawn. So cool!

      @@DuncanCustomAirbrush Because she's a genius! Spring can't get here fast enough to hook up the hose. Dawn would be better than glue for the yard, but I love how there's less waste and it doesn't run as much. I don't have a good recording device except my phone. I can try to at least get photos. Probably have to sand the plastic. Just worry about an appropriate top coat that will protect it from scratches.

    Wow!! 1) never knew there were portable battery airbrush systems..and 2)this Glue trick ¿¿ I wonder if this would work with alcohol ink , glue design, and acrylic >Or Flowing acrylic

      Yeah I have a link for the portable airbrush in the description of this video. Any the other questions you mention may work but the glue would probably have to be fully dry first.

    I was checking out the amazon links and I want to say the uni posca store on Amazon has AMAZING customer service. I bought a set of posca markers from them and was missing 4 markers when they arrived. They sent me an entire new set plus 8 extras of different sizes and colors.

    I wonder if it would work the same using clear glue (which is all I have at the moment). I don't see why it wouldn't work, but maybe there is a different consistency between Elmer's white glue and Elmer's clear glue? Hmmmmm........

    So you can make this tumbler, get your hands all gluey, and then make another with dish soap and get all cleaned up. Circle of tumblers.
