    Thank you a lot for all the video explaining everything that is new😃. I was a bit afraid to try some of the new stuff related to facilities, because maybe i would get told that i did stuff wrong and handicaping the team.

      You're welcome, and always good to hear it helped somebody.
      Furthermore I wish I could say it is totally fine to just try things an maybe mess it up without being yelled at. Unfortunately we all know that some people will yell at you, and get angry.
      It's why I can recommend going to the dev-branch when it is around, so you have a safer environment to play around and try stuff out.

    Are you telling me I can theoretically play Foxhole without actually killing people and instead working?

      we have people in our clan that have been playing for over a year now and they have not even set foot on the front line

    What's the point of harvesting damaged components? The overall petro/power/time cost is worse than simply harvesting normal components.

    • @tinazhue2091
      @tinazhue2091 2 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      when the harvester is working normaly it depletes the node, the damaged component recipe does not and still works when the field is empty

    Do those stationary harvesters also have a hidden loading area access point (for access with crate) like the harvesting mines?

      Sorry I forgot to reply, I hope you got the answer in the meantime.

    8:54 Can you transfer material from the pallet to a hauler truck and to the truck to the station?

    • @FreerkHoltes
      @FreerkHoltes  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm pretty confident that you can not interact with a pallet from your truck, like if you drive up to a pallet and try to open it by pressing "E" I don't think you get the inventory of the pallet.
      If I'm wrong that would indeed be a faster way

    do I have to build an entire bunker base to keep the harvester healthy, or is there another way to keep the harvester from just decaying away?

    • @FreerkHoltes
      @FreerkHoltes  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is a good question, and not one I have a direct answer to. But generally speaking resource fields end up with a bunker base protecting it (in my experience) anyway. Other option would be a FOB

    What's the point of damaged components?
    I mean petrol to component ratio is same, you need upgraded harvester and metal works, it might dish out +50% of those but also refining these takes 150% of damaged ones plus 4MW.
    So if there's no other recipee requiring damaged components I see no acceleration and no efficiency increase so what's the point of these? o.O

    • @FreerkHoltes
      @FreerkHoltes  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Broken components can be harvested even if a component field does not have nodes to spawn. A standard component harvester harvests the nodes so will only work as long as the nodes are spawning.
      So ideally I would say, you set the upgraded harvesters to harvest damaged components and farm the nodes that are spawning by hand or with the harvester vehicle

      @@FreerkHoltes Good thing you're here. I mean starting with Foxhole is rough. In lot of languages controls are bound funny and 1,2,3 didnt work for me so it took over two hours to figure that out and then work with inventories and vast amount of items, machines and facilities can get difficult too.
      So your videos definetly helped me to turn that gaming disapointment into favourite passtime.

    • @FreerkHoltes
      @FreerkHoltes  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I am happy to hear that I could turn you around. Foxhole has a steep learning curve and I always hope that these videos (and even better, people in game helping and answering questions) let you take the first frustrating hurdle's.

    Btw, I was wondering how the new tech tree looks like. Could you make a video of the new tech tree if you can?

    • @VeganerHippie
      @VeganerHippie 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Its still the same for small arms. For vehicles its different. It includes alot less vehicles because only base vehicles need to be researched. There are also no tech choices for vehicles anymore.

    • @FreerkHoltes
      @FreerkHoltes  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The tech tree is the same as before (different every war) with the addition being that facility tech got added to the "weapons" tree (aluminium)

    Could you explain how tech mats work with stationary scrap harvesters? Apparently they don't produce tech mats, but does this mean that any tech mats that would have been produced by scrooping are lost? If a faction relies on harvesters instead of hammers, will they never gain tech?

    • @FreerkHoltes
      @FreerkHoltes  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can't reliably answer this cause I don't know how this is solved in game logic. It might be that all the tech that get's lost, appears on other fields. Or not. Especially about things like techrates the devs are quite secretive, cause they know the community will try to play whatever system is in place in their advantage

    Informative but unnecessarily long video. Process was just same for everyone you didn't have to tell for every building how to remove and u need to put petrol and all.. just simply make a chart or just increase speed when u do the repetitive boring stuff.

    • @FreerkHoltes
      @FreerkHoltes  2 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      The idea is that the chapters are viewable on their own, so if you search for just the coal harvester you don't have to skip around the video to figure out how you do something in another chapter.
      As a downside this makes it repetitive if you watch the whole video, yes.

      Definitely keep the current format. Finding specific information in videos can be very difficult if it is spread all over the place, I usually prefer written stuff for that exact reason. Having self contained chapters with all the info in them is a very good choice and I wish more video guides would do it.

    What is the point of harvesting 9 damaged components instead of 6 not damaged. For example to get 60Component you need 40L petrol and 120s of time (10 cycles). And if we want same result with damaged components we need to collect 90 (same 10 cycles but 20L extra petrol) then we need deliver it to recycler and spent another 270s for 3 cycles to get 60C from 90DC. + we need extra power supply. This is so stupid....I can not see any reason for this to be used and don't understand why does this even exist...Make more work - gain less.
