It's because of players like him and the continued BW tournaments via Afreeca that broodwar has still survived even after all these times.
Game 1 was really exciting and showed the value of the firebat. Rush built so many firebats he had to sacrifice tank production, but it clearly worked. Every force had at least two firebats mixed in, often more, and they pushed a lot of positions that terrans tend to struggle with (like one lurker, one defiler, and a few lings).
Yeah, game 5 showed how nicely they can deny ling reinforcements, which really dampens the effect of dark swarm before the engagement with it even occur.

The winner played out of their minds. The fact that in the final game, they should have been behind economically, and yet managed to be so aggressive as well as getting such a big army advantage that he had a crushing attack at the end just showed that he was operating at the top level in every way - strategically, micro and macro.

- New shortest game this season: tonight's game on Neo Dark Origin was only 2:59! This beats soma vs Calm's game on Apocalypse by 21 seconds!
- SoulKey wasn't wrong by choosing Invader, Zerg was 5-0 on the map before tonight. However, he did one mistake... spawning in the bottom right! That spawn is now 3-10!
- La Campanella continous to bring us long games, the average game time is 20:24! Contrast that with Neo Dark Origin's 10:25. Tonight's game on La Campanella takes the 10th spot for longest games this season at 22:53.
- The 11 o'clock spawn on Polypoid is 0-5 this season. This is the only spawn across all maps that has never one a game. There are three spawns with only one win each: La Campanella's 1 o'clock 5 o'clock; and Tempest's 11 o'clock.
Most exciting (and stressful) series so far. Thanks for the cast Tastosis and shoutout to the production team!!!
Insane series! Both would have deserved to advance to the finals!
Insane series!
Wow what a series. Nice build order punishes by the winner!
невероятные матчи.Ребятам спасибо за отличную работу
I love Tasteless, Artosis, and Broodwar.
This was peak brood war. I'm a tosser but I was on the edge of my seat by the end!!
thx uuuu 🎉🎉🎉
There was a lot of brilliant side from both sides. Pleasure to watch.
OMG!!! love this
So I accidentally clicked on the finals match vod before watching this one (Not a complaint comment, I know I'm late and I know it was my mistake). As soon as I realized what I had done I clicked out of it but I had already seen the names of the finalists. Now, given I knew the result of this match color me completely surprised by how this match actually unfolded. What an absolutely stunning series.
It felt like forever waiting, but it's all worth it.
what a series, what a decider game, wow!!
Artosis needs to buy a cardboard cutout of Tasteless.
or a hand puppet
Fantastic cast as always ❤. Can you add additional time at the end of every video (make every video 4h long) to prevent spoilers?
Maybe the best series I've ever seen
amazing series
Wow this series was amazing
HYPE!
Maybe spoilers, idk
Soulkey is such a crowd pleaser. What an incredible best of 7. Im excited for the finals.
The winner has really been playing amazing all tourney. His macro is totally insane . Really impressive stuff.
Game sound is too low
I think the Caster Park interviews are where I miss the subtitles the most. They are usually so funny, but with them being dubbed over it doesn't have the same appeal.
1:15:34 "I think he's gonna gg man" - artosis
I love you man and know nothing about sc1 but that was funny af :D
Insane series
Atleast 1440p quality on next ASL please. Love you guys.
Hell of a series
Amazing games!
The end of game three was so sick
Fast Work! TY guys!
Nice can't wait to watch this later
Dont read comments major spoilers here...
@@stiv66630 thanks. I will avoid them
1:52 ish discussing Scouts and "the most unique situation" - one of my favorite games ever Kal vs ForGG on Colosseum. That was like KESPA days but I recommend it.
Also 152:30 should be on some pimpest play video. That control to target like that...
right as i get home with dinner
good timing
Phenomenal set
Soulkey is dangerous by default but being broke makes him a real threat lol
my god what a series
volume up on game sounds and music please. as well as crowd audio
It felt like in game one muta should've done much more dmg in that position. I didn't expect Rush to handle it so gracefully after a completely failed start (some would've gg'd in that case).
Holy sh!7!!! Those hold position lurkers made my brain explode
When those guardians appeared from the left bottom of the screen it was IT. Some epic music missing haha
